This spacious, family-friendly home in Cave Creek is a must-see! You are welcomed inside with gorgeous views of the natural desert scenery and the mountains through the large windows in the open great room. Gather together on the comfortable furniture for a movie marathon while dinner is prepared in the full kitchen. Or head outside to the covered, furnished patio and relax in the desert landscape dotted with exposed black phyllite. You can not beat these views!

This home is in a great location, just a mile from downtown Cave Creek with its local shops, galleries, and restaurants. You will also be near Frontier Town, a fun and fascinating reproduction of an Old West town, featuring costumed performers. You are also within walking distance of a few scenic hiking trails, including some that wind around Black Mountain. And as this rental is only 34 miles north of Phoenix, you can take a day trip into Arizona's Urban Heart and discover all the city offers.

This was a great place to stay with your dog. Quiet neighborhood with a large fenced in backyard. The home needed a deep clean, including air filters. But all in all, it worked out well for us.

Great location!

Went to visit my daughter for the weekend and had a great time enjoying the Cave Creek/Carefree area. House was well represented and very close to all the activities in town.

We enjoyed our stay, very comfortable. The neighborhood is nice and also quiet. Great mountain views from the living room. Hot tub cover was cumbersome and a bit dated.

Lovely & Relaxing

The house was exactly as described, but somehow better. The house was very clean, appliances seemed brand new. This neighborhood seemed safe and quiet. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub at night, listening to the quiet, the coyotes and star gazing. All of the directions were simple. Easy check in/check out and instructions for the house. There's a cute town nearby with kitschy restaurants and tourist shops to enjoy. The rental company was quickly responsive. We had to end the trip early and I really missed staying one more night in this lovely house. I would not hesitate staying again or using this rental company. Thank you for letting us stay in this lovely house!

Ok overall. Hot tub never worked

Decent home. Hot tub never worked the entire time we were there. Garage had a truck in it and there were bicycles on the other side, so we therefore didn't park our car inside. A bit difficult to get various TV channels. Location was great & very convenient. The home was decent overall. They did offer us a partial refunded amount for the hot tub issue, however it will take 6 weeks to arrive/be credited?

cleaning supplies smell bad Bed in master bedroom not comfortable we arrived on Friday with many groceries. Refrigerator broke down. we tried to get the property manager to help us which he didn’t so we lost $300 of food. No one ever came to check on the refrigerator. very disappointing.

wonderful desert home, lots of hiking and biking close by

Stayed 4 weeks. Impressively clean on arrival. Very quiet neighborhood. Wonderful covered back patio, lots of birds, coyotes and bobcat. Walkable to downtown and several restaurants. Great access to challenging hike up Black Mtn. Hot tub worked perfectly. BBQ worked, extra propane provided. We were able to store bikes and kayaks in garage (owner's truck already parked in there, limited space). Back yard is fully fenced for dogs, although not escape-proof for a small dog.Contacted Vacasa (property manager) about several minor issues which they did not address. Dishwasher ran but did not clean dishes at all.Would not recommend this home for anyone with mobility issues. There is a 4-6" ledge down from the entry way to the dining area, and another step up to the kitchen. Very easy to miss the transition and fall off the ledge. Tap water is hard and heavily chlorinated. Consider bringing a water filter (fridge filter didn't work properly).

Arizona vacation.

We truly enjoyed our stay in cave creek. The house was in a great location and exactly as described (clean and well equipped). The views of the Arizona mountains from the house are amazing and black mountain hiking was absolutely incredible. We only stayed for five nights and there’s so much to do. The town is within walking distance if you don’t mind a little walk (maybe a mile or so one way). Everything was so close, golf, restaurant's, shops, and bars. We gave the five stars but there was a couple issues that was no big deal to us but wanted to let everyone know. We had no interest in going in the hot tub but it didn’t work and it wasn’t even on. We did let them know but no one ever stopped by to fix it. We had one night where the weather wasn’t so great so we tried to log on to Netflix and we couldn’t log in. Again, no big deal to us because there was so much else to do. We would definitely recommend the rental and would definitely come back.

Automation supreme

This house is extremely automated - which is both a blessing and a curse. The thermostat won’t go below 76 for cooling. The front door code took some figuring out to open, and one night sounded as if someone was trying to ger in but no one was outside the door (the area is really safe - we chalked it up to an odd automation snafu and jimmied a chair under the knob to prevent the door knob from working - anti automation old fashioned solution). The maintenance folks are on autopilot too showing up at all types of weird times with no notification - hot tub maintenance coming by when one of the house guests was walking around with a towel out of the shower, yard maintenance using the leaf blower outside the master bedroom at 8 am. While having the care and upkeep automated, as well as the access and temp control may be nice for the owner - it has us not wanting to rent this place again.

Wonderful Property - Annoying Management Company

We love Cave Creek and this house was perfect for us and our two dogs. Large back yard that the dogs loved and the neighborhood is fantastic for walking. Also close to downtown Cave Creek. We were there for Spring Training and the stadiums were 35-45 minutes by car during non-peak traffic times. Piece of cake. The house itself was squeaky clean and comfortable. It's nicely decorated and the linens are first rate. Vacasa, the property manager is not an ideal fit for me. You get bombarded with texts and emails, most of which are useless. I didn't get the check in info and door code until late afternoon the day before we arrived. It took email and texts from me to have them send it. There were no check out instructions in the house and a call to their customer service told me to just pack up and leave everything. It sounded fishy and it was. Last afternoon the day before we left, another text telling us to strip the beds, run the dishwasher, etc. Standard stuff but in conflict with what I was told verbally. Then the texts kept coming and I finally replied STOP to get them to quit. I've been doing VRBO for decades and these guys are definitely the most cloying and annoying. Might work for some people, but not for me.

Surrey’s Oasis

This is a beautiful home with a great deck with breathtaking views. You can walk, bike, or hike right outside your front door. It is close to the Shops and everything that Cave Creek has to offer. You will see a large variety of birds in the back yard including cardinals and hummingbirds. The house is well supplied with amenities for your travels. We will be returning.

Cozy

We stayed here over the holidays. It was a very cozy nice house and suited our needs perfectly. The scenery is outstanding and we especially enjoyed listening to the quail peeping and the coyotes yipping!

The home is lovely but we were here in June when the temperatures reached 115. The air conditioning was controlled by the owner and we could not lower the temperatures below 72. The air did not flow to the bedroom areas which made it very uncomfortable to sleep at night. We were not able to use the master bedroom because there was no airflow back there. Unfortunately we were there for a tournament and our sleep was not great due to the air conditioning.
