Mountain-View Cabin | Hot Tub + Cozy Wood Stove
Summary:
Welcome to The Alta — a cozy mountain cabin tucked into the trees of Angel Fire with beautiful views of the ski hill. Designed for families and friend groups, the home features soaring wood-paneled ceilings, a warm wood stove, and a spacious deck overlooking the mountains. After a day skiing, biking, or hiking, unwind in the hot tub or gather by the fire. With bedrooms spread across two levels and nature just outside the door, it’s the perfect basecamp for year-round mountain adventures.
The Space:
The Alta feels like the kind of mountain cabin people dream about.
Tucked into the quiet hills of Angel Fire, the home opens into a bright living room with arched wood-paneled ceilings and large windows framing views of the ski mountain. In the winter, snow falls softly across the landscape while the wood stove glows inside. In the summer, sunlight pours through the windows and the mountains become a playground for hiking, biking, and exploring.
The living room is designed for gathering. Curl up by the fireplace with a book, watch the snow fall over the slopes, or settle in for a movie night after a long day outdoors.
Just outside, the balcony and deck overlook the mountain, offering the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening grilling while the alpine air rolls through the trees.
After a day of adventure, slip into the private hot tub and watch the stars appear above the mountains — a nightly ritual guests quickly fall in love with.
The layout of the home is ideal for groups. With bedrooms spread across two levels, families or friends can enjoy both together time and privacy during their stay.
Downstairs, the bunk room doubles as a cozy hangout space with its own fireplace — perfect for games, movies, and late-night laughs after a day on the slopes.
Whether you're visiting for powder days, mountain biking, hiking trails, or simply a peaceful retreat in the woods, The Alta was made for memorable mountain getaways.

Parking more than 2 vehicles on the deck is in direct violation of house rules and will result in immediate termination of your lease terms. We apologize for the strict nature of this message, but this is for your own safety.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home, including the hot tub, mountain-view deck, and all indoor living spaces.
The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and full of mountain cabins, wildlife, and peaceful walking areas. Guests are welcome to explore the nearby trails and scenic roads — you’ll often see deer wandering through the trees.
For a small fee, guests may also enjoy the nearby community center which offers activities like pickleball, yoga, basketball, and other recreation options.
The Neighborhood:
The Alta is located in the peaceful cabin community surrounding Angel Fire Resort.
This part of Angel Fire is known for its quiet mountain setting, beautiful forest views, and abundant wildlife. It’s common to see deer wandering through the neighborhood or hear nothing but wind through the pines.
While the home feels secluded, it’s just minutes from the village where you’ll find restaurants, coffee shops, groceries, and the ski resort.
In the warmer months, Angel Fire becomes a hub for outdoor adventure with hiking trails, mountain biking, fishing, and golf all nearby.
Getting Around:
A car is recommended for getting around Angel Fire.
The home is located just a few minutes from the ski resort and village area where you'll find groceries, restaurants, and shops. The roads are scenic and easy to navigate, but winter visitors should plan for mountain driving conditions and may want a vehicle with all-wheel drive when snow is expected.
Many guests enjoy taking walks through the quiet neighborhood to soak in the mountain scenery and wildlife.
Other Things to Note:
Any cancellation refund issued will be less the cost of payment processing fees incurred (these are typically 4%, but vary by booking platform). Because payment processing fees are incurred at the time the reservation is made and are not refunded by the payment processor, we must subtract this amount from any refund that we issue.
We require both a waiver and ID upload prior to receiving check-in instructions. You are welcome to request the waiver terms prior to booking if interested.
