When you find a bit of time to relax at home base, the open layout of the interior will greet you with plush furnishings, elegant decor, and a sense of home that simply cannot be matched. Gather in the living room next to the warmth of the gas fireplace as you stream favorite movies or step into the full kitchen and whip up anything from a morning cup of coffee to a gourmet dinner on modern appliances. And, if you want a bit of privacy, the upper level features another living area and the primary bedroom will be just the place to soak in the deep tub and crack open a new novel.

Seasonal bbqs are available from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.

Great vacation house

This house worked great for our 3-generation family vacation. The proximity to the lake and all the activities in the area is a huge plus. It's a comfortable house well stocked with just about everything you need. This was our second stay here and we'd be happy to return for a third time!

This is a very comfortable home. The location is fantastic. It is close to the lake, lodge, tram, putt-putt golfing, etc.,yet it is very quiet. The kitchen has lots of dishes, however when we were there, there wasn't any salt or pepper which I would think is pretty basic. Also, there was only 1 paper towel roll available to use, which didn't seem like much.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would consider staying in this home again.

Beautiful home in a perfect setting

This home is nestled in the forest and you can hear the river nearby. It’s so peaceful. The house was clean and had plenty of space and beds. The kitchen area is so nice and accommodating. There is not an air conditioner, but many ceiling fans. On a hot day, it can be warm inside, so I recommend opening up the windows at night to cool it down and close them in the morning. I would stay here again.

Quick Vacation from Vacation

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this vacation rental! The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which made us feel instantly at ease upon arrival. The home was incredibly spacious, providing plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax comfortably.The location was perfect for our needs—quiet and peaceful, yet close to scenic walking trails that we enjoyed exploring daily. It truly felt like a home away from home.The hosts clearly take pride in ensuring their guests have a top-notch experience. We were so impressed with everything that we’re already planning our next stay. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway!

Neat Spot!

Location was perfect! Less than 1/2 mile from the Wallowa Lake Trailhead which offered incredible trails. 1.5 miles from the State Park and access to the water, and walking distance to several coffee shops and restaurants. One thing to note is the upstairs bedroom does not have a door, it is more of an attachment to the loft/upstairs living area.

With mixed company it would have been nice to have a master bathroom/laundry room door and a door on the upstairs bedroom. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay.

Great house but missing a lot of "must haves"

The house is beautiful with a lot of nice touches and upgrades. The master bed was really comfortable and the shower was awesome! The location couldn't be better...we loved taking our granddaughters to the river to throw rocks in! However, there were a lot of things that were missing or sub par. First of all, all of the other vacation rental homes that I have been in have provided a "cheat sheet" to fill you in on how thing operate in the home. This one had nothing. It would have been very helpful to know that there was a thermostat control for the gas fireplace (it wouldn't light like the one I have at home and we could never get it on), that the washing machine had a reservoir for detergent (there was no detergent in the house so I bought some), and that the faucet in the hall bathroom sprays water all over the place if you turn it the wrong way (which happened multiple times). Additionally, there were absolutely zero basic cooking supplies. I had to purchase some nonstick spray (which I left for the next renter). I also bought salt and pepper but eventually found some salt on the table (but no pepper). There were NO kitchen towels or dish rags or even trash bags. How can you not have any kitchen towels or dish rags in a kitchen? I ended up buying some of those too. Also, the hand soap ran out at the kitchen sink and I couldn't find any refills. The washing machine told us that the detergent was low but there was no way to fill it up. Luckily I had already bought some detergent. And, there was no dish drainer in the kitchen! Yes, there was a dishwasher, but there were lots of things that we also hand-washed. I had to borrow a couple hand towels from the bathroom to serve as a mat to drain them on. The comforter on the downstairs bed looked dirty with makeup stains on it. Luckily we found another comforter in the closet so we could wash the dirty one. The upstairs loft bed had no bedding. My daughter had to just use the comforter that we washed as her only cover. And, the pillows in the upstairs bedrooms were pretty flat and uncomfortable. So, while this is a really nice house with lots of upgrades and a fabulous location, there were definitely several shortcomings that really put a damper on our stay and makes me question whether I would stay in a Vacasa house again. Oh...and I sent two emails on the Vacasa app Sunday night after we realized what we were missing, but NEVER got a response.
