Our stay was fantastic. The home was clean upon arrival, Beds made, and Linens available on a chair in each room. The interior appeared updated and fresh. The kitchen was a plus as we cook a few meals and were able to store drinks and snacks. Host was accessible during a brief issue and resolved our issue quickly. Excellent stay.

Overall good stay! The door access code given do not work upon arrival, but the issue was resolved quickly once I called the host and received a new code. The long term renter sharing the home was respectful, and we would stay here again for the value.

Great stay, clean property

Our stay in Hanahan was great. The location was close to Charleston and all the goings on but not located in a super busy area. There was no washer or dryer available but a very clean laundromat nearby. The place was clean and neat.

Family Graduation

The house was very nice, neat and clean. The backyard was perfect for reading and relaxing outside. Morning walks in the neighborhood were nice with neighbors doing the same. The location was very close to the airport. I would definitely seek out this property if I return to Charleston.

Not the best nor the worst experience

Property owner was very nice. However, the details of the property was a bit misleading. Listing did not specifically state there'd be someone living within the home with only a locked door (on both sides) seperating the living quarters. Initially it was extremely uncomfortable knowing a stranger was on the premises. We had to introduce ourselves so we'd know who the individual was (he was also nice). There wasn't a sufficient amount of clean towels or additional clean bed linens. We had to do a lot of initial cleaning but once completed it was much better. We did our best to leave the property tidy and as clean as possible. Again, the owner was very nice and did state if her other properties were available she would have offered another location. Not bad but not great for the price.paid. We wouldn't stay at this particular Vrbo again.

To clarify, our Vrbo listing does mention that someone else is living in the apartment, and this information can be found under the “Additional Information” section. I completely understand how this could feel unclear if missed, and I’ll take this into consideration for improving the listing’s clarity. Regarding the linens and towels, we provide one set of sheets per week, and towels are based on the number of guests in the booking. If you needed any extras or had concerns, I wish you had reached out during your stay — I’m always happy to address any needs and accommodate our guests as best as possible. Additionally, I want to mention that when the property owner had to drive through the neighborhood, he noticed there were more than six cars at the property. The only reason he saw this is because he lives just a couple of houses down from that location. We truly appreciate your efforts to leave the space tidy and for your kind words about my communication. I hope this clarifies things, and I thank you again for your time and feedback. Home away from home

After some airport delays, we arrived very late into the evening. Check in was super easy, and the house was set and ready for arrival. Maria was extremely responsive to any questions or needs. When we woke in the morning, I was unsuccessful in getting the reusable keurig pod to work and struggled with the espresso machine. I inquired if there was a standard drip coffee machine available and she arranged to have one dropped off that day along with filters. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable to stay in. Most anything you need for standard cooking was available. We were visiting my nephew, as he's in the Naval academy, and the location was perfect! It was a great place to just hang out and have family dinners when we didn't feel like eating out. Found it took between 20-40 minutes to get to most places, although there is some shopping/ grocery store within minute. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint. The backyard is available to use, but there is not direct access from inside. You must walk around the house to access it. If you are looking for a private single family home to stay in, this house may not be the one for you. As noted in the listing, there is a tenant that lives in the lower portion of the house. The door between their living space and the rest of the house is secured, but you can hear any conversation and activities. We had zero issues but it's something to take into consideration. Overall it was a great week and we would stay again.
