Appalachian Remedy, a beautiful 3-story log cabin in heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Boone, Blowing Rock, Vilas, Valle Crucis, and ski slopes. Located on almost 2 private acres and is the last home at the top of mountain.

Relax on the expansive porches, make smores by the fire pit, cook in the well equiped kitchen, soak in the hot tub or play a game of pool. There is something to do in every season.

The space
The main level: open living room with high cathedral, exposed beam ceiling and leather furnishings, stone gas log fireplace (not for guest use) and a 50" HDTV with YouTube TV. The fully-equipped kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and a dining table for 8 with room for 3 at the bar. Two bedrooms: one with a queen-sized bed and the other with two sets of twin-over-full bunk beds, and there is a full bath with a shower between them.

Upstairs: Loft area furnished with TV, chess table, and a retro arcade with 60 classic games. Master suite with king bed, cozy reading nook with two oversize chairs and a built in bookshelf, HDTV, and a full private bathroom with a tub/shower and a double sink vanity.

Downstairs: large den with 42 inch HDTV, gas-log, stone fireplace (not for guest use), a master suite with king bed, full private bathroom tub/shower, a game room with pool table and TV with sound bar, perfect for watching a football game while playing pool, and a lower deck with hot tub to sit or soak and relax the day's cares away.

Step outside anytime to enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds which include a stone fire pit and Adirondack-furnished sitting area for gathering in the cool evenings to snuggle and roast marshmallows. The main level has a large, partially covered deck with a gas grill, rocking chairs and a table for cafe-style dining in the cool mountain breezes.

Neighborhood amenities include: A public par 3 golf course (Willow Creek Golf Course) as well as a peaceful stream all within easy walking distance from the cabin.

PLEASE NOTE: This home is accessed by a steep gravel driveway. , 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March and chains may also be necessary to access the property in winter months.

Please note that all linens are included with rental (sheets, towels and hot tubs towels). A starter roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom are also supplied. We try to stock spices, teas, sugar, cooking oil, and other kitchen essentials, but we cannot guarantee that these items will always be available. Please plan accordingly.
