The Space:

This secluded home is perfect for anyone wanting to get away. The living room is a picture of comfort. Enjoy stretching out on the sofa or curling up on one of the armchairs while being warmed by the fireplace. The spacious kitchen is truly a sight to behold. Complete with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a large prep island, and fun gadgets like an ice cream maker, this kitchen is the perfect destination for the chef of the group. The home has a formal dining area, as well as a breakfast nook in the kitchen, so there's no shortage of space for dining as a group. The outdoor space is a haven all its own. To start with, the furnished screened porch is perfect for lounging out in the cool of the evening. The back deck is spacious and has a grill. Out front is a lovely nature trail and rope swing. Also outdoors is a firepit for guest use. The property provides one bundle of firewood, so be sure to stock up if you'll be wanting more. This home is pet friendly and allows 1 dog up to 70 lbs. What a fantastic stay! Everything was clean, the house was decorated beautifully and we had so much room to spread out. We were close enough to everything Saugatuck has to offer but far enough from town to enjoy the view is the woods and field of wildflowers. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

This rental felt almost like home. Easy to be comfortable. A very clean but relaxed set-up with plenty of room. Since we had various members of our group sometimes having to log into their jobs it was convenient to have was a kitchen table, a dining table and a patio table. We appreciated the afghans for the cool mornings and evenings. We had our heeler/ Border Collie, Luna, with us and are grateful Birdie Bungalow is dog friendly. Lots of room to play outside, the fenced in area and a hiking trail in the park nearby. We also appreciated and used the folding chairs when we went to Oval Beach. By the way, it is less than a 5 minute drive to downtown or a 20 minute walk. Because the road is narrow with no sidewalk not everyone would feel comfortable walking but we walk daily and enjoyed the jaunt. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

It sounds like the mix of work-friendly spots came in handy for your group, and we love that the fenced yard and nearby hiking trail gave Luna plenty of room to play. The pictures shown on the listing for furniture bathroom sinks, room layouts were not aligned with the actual home. The room layout as described was especially not accurate. The listing showed four twin beds and did not mention that it was two twin trundle beds instead of actual four twins, which is not adequate for seven adults, which is what our group size was. We had very uncomfortable sleeping situation owing to this misrepresentation and one of the adults in our group ended up sleeping on the sofa. The house was not very clean. The surfaces were sticky. Dishes were not clean. There were hair strands inside the freezer. There was mold in cabinets. We took pictures of the mold if you want we can upload them.Overall very disappointing stay, especially considering the cost and host fees charged.
