Situated just below Steamboat Ski Resort, this two-bedroom all-suite condo promises adventure and relaxation in the Rocky Mountains. Walk right down to the on-site Wildhorse Gondola, which will whisk you to the slopes and back. Breathtaking mountain and ski run views await on the balcony of your third-floor condo.

Inside, warm wood accents and a fireplace with stone surround create an inviting, lodge-like ambience. An oversize sectional in the living area provides ample seating for your group. Kick back and watch favorite shows on the 55-inch TV. Or, curl up with a book in the armchair by the gas fireplace. The chef in your group will feel right at home in the modern kitchen, appointed with granite countertops and a full suite of stainless steel appliances. When it's time to eat, share hearty mountain meals around the spacious island with seating for five.

This condo sleeps up to seven guests between two bedrooms and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living area. Discover privacy and comfort in the primary bedroom, appointed with a plush king-size bed and 32-inch flat-screen TV. Spa-like features in the en-suite bathroom include a double vanity, deep soaking tub, and walk-in shower. The guest suite provides plenty of sleeping space with two full-size beds. Accessible from both the kitchen and guest bedroom, the guest bathroom is configured with a double vanity and tub/shower combination.

Likes: easy access to base area via gondola, nice pool/jacuzzi area, friendly front desk staff, decent gym Dislikes: no coffee provided in room and not avail in lobby until after 8am, units showing wear/tear (our unit had broken faucet in kitchen, master shower didn’t drain, master shower pressure poor).

While, we sincerely apologize if you noticed wear and tear and found a broken faucet, shower not properly draining and water pressure is low. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location next to Gondola and spacious 2bd unit. Overall a great experience, Easy check in/out process, good communication. The unit is located next to the elevator (quiet) that takes you down to the garage, easy to load/unload and also to get to gondola, although you do have to go through the vehicle gate to get out. The one downfall to this unit for skiing is there is no where to store ski gear (helmets, boots, etc) or to put on boots.

No hot water during our stay

There is an ongoing issue with the hot water system in the entire building that apparently has been going on for weeks. It was COLD showers for all the entire stay. They need to shut the system down and not accept guests until it is resolved but that will likely not happen until after ski season. I love the location and the facilities, but they should have let us know of this major issue when booking.

The Gondola was broken the entire time we were here!

The Gondola was broken the entire time we were here! This was so disappointing. We specifically booked this place because the Gondola stops right at the property. We learned that the Gondola was broken last year too so this seems to be a reoccurring problem. Without the Gondola, the property really isn’t in a good location. It’s not walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets or other amenities and the bus stop to town is a 10 min walk away - not ideal for families although we made it work! The low rating is due to the management company (TurnKey Vacation Rentals). They have a combative relationship with the hotel managers on site and this doesn’t make for an enjoyable experience for the guests. The hotel front desk told us that we couldn’t use the hotel shuttle because we didn’t book directly with them! Every interaction with the front desk was awkward because we were never sure what hotel amenities we were allowed to use. We should have read the previous reviews that said how bad the management company really is. We will never book another property with TurnKey Vacations Rentals again. We have rented with HomeAway many times and every previous property had a specific contact person that was very helpful with any questions and very knowledgeable about the property. TurnKey Vacation Rentals uses a call center with canned responses to any inquiry. The agents that you talk to have no real direct knowledge of the property. The agent we spoke to on the phone didn’t even know what a gondola was and said that the Gondola was not an amenity that was offered (even though it’s advertised as such and they charge a premium for it). They also refused to call the hotel to allow us to use the shuttle in lieu of the gondola. The condo itself was very nice and we enjoyed it very much. It was a perfect size for our family (2 adults, 3 kids). The kitchen has a great layout for cooking and gathering. The unit was stocked with lots of extra items: laundry and dishwasher detergent, sugar, salt, pepper, coffee, sandwich bags, plastic wrap, humidifier in bedroom, & Netflix. We love Steamboat but we won’t stay at this location again unless there is a new management company. We’d recommend that the owner work directly with the management company that runs the hotel so that customers can get full access to all of the amenities on site and be in direct contact with a specific property manager that is more involved and familiar with the property.

Our unit at Trailhead Lodge was perfect for three guys out to ski and drink. Lots of TV's, lots of comfortable seating, plenty of room in the fridge for snacks, etc. In addition, the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of soap, shampoo, coffee, etc. The hot tubs were really nice and the shuddle was always quick to pick up. Had a great time!

Perfect Getaway

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. It was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Our kids like checking out the game room, and we especially loved the pool and hot tub. It was the perfect spot for our family of five, and we hope to come back next year! Thank you for everything!

Perfect Family Getaway

No trouble with the front desk personnel, who were very courteous, as were the other residents. We rode bikes from the condo to the trail system which is close by. Loved the Botanic Park!! We logged into our Netflix, but never figured out how to locate Hulu, Prime, or other apps on the TV.

Our visit had a rocky start as the room key provided didn’t work. I called a turnkey agent who told me to await contact from a local person. The local person contacted me 20 minutes later and suggested to have the front desk or security person on site let me in. The front desk person had left by then, but had been there when I spoke to the first Turnkey agent. I waited another 15 minutes for the security person to arrive to let me in. Inside I found two working cards, and another that didn’t work. The condo was beautiful, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We cooked every night and had everything we needed. Ran the dishwasher daily and some loads of laundry. We swam daily, and used the hot tub, fitness room and game room. No trouble with the front desk personnel, who were very courteous, as were the other residents. We rode bikes from the condo to the trail system which is close by. Loved the Botanic Park!!
