Escape to nature in our off-grid bamboo cabin, located in the El Socavón area of San Cristóbal, about 300 meters above sea level and just a 15-minute drive from town. The cabin is surrounded by pure tranquility with no close neighbors — an ideal place to unwind and experience the natural side of the Galápagos.
The cabin is designed for simple, sustainable living. It has two beds for a comfortable night's rest, a private en-suite bathroom connected to a biodigester, an outdoor compost toilet, and a stone-built cold-water shower. The kitchen comes with a fridge, stove, pans, cutlery, and all the basics for cooking your own meals.
The cabin runs entirely on solar energy and rainwater. The system provides enough power for the fridge, internet, lights, and two charging plugs for phones. Please note that the internet is limited — perfect for messaging and light browsing, but not suitable for watching films or streaming videos. High-energy devices cannot be used, so mindful electricity use is essential.
This is the perfect spot to disconnect from routine, slow down, and enjoy the beauty and serenity of San Cristóbal's transition zone.
