Awaken to the Crimson Sunrise in this sweet Sunrise Treehouse

The Santa Fe Treehouse Camp and Wilderness Preserve is a non-smoking facility featuring 156 acres of highland forest. It is at 7,700' above sea level. The land is covered in juniper, piñon, and ponderosa pine, and various cactus plants. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the clear view of the celestial grandeur of the sun’s cycle or the brilliant show of stars in the night sky.

The treehouse structure is raised about 6' off the ground, and nestled amid the trunks and branches of ponderosa, piñon, and juniper trees. There are no curtains, heaters or air conditioning so please bring layers of clothing for your comfort.

The Sunrise Treehouse offers the most privacy of all the treehouses. It is furnished with our 1940's furniture, a double and two single beds. Cozy linens the color of the sunrise and battery powered candles and lanterns add a romantic air to this forest getaway! Limited power is now available through our new Solar and Wind Generator. This provides some lights and the ability to charge phones and heat water for tea or coffee.

The treehouse is down a 100' dirt path from the parking spot.

The Birdbath building with flush toilets and showers is a 1-2 minute walk (bring your own toiletries) and the outdoor cooking shelter with a community fridge, stove, microwave, propane grill, blender, coffee maker, cooking and eating utensils is a short walk further

The beautiful drive to reach us meanders through the historic quaint village of Canada de Las Alamos. Mountain views and evergreen forests border the 1.3 mile dirt road, which is just far enough to get away from the hustle and excitement of Santa Fe but close enough to enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer.

Since the camp has minimal lighting for star viewing we recommend you bring flash lights and you consider arriving while it is still light out. It makes locating us easier and you will get to experience our beautiful sunsets and have more time to enjoy this enchanted hilltop!
