Magnifique maison de campagne, entièrement restaurée, entourée de la nature.

CASA ALTAVISTA, dans une propiété de 5ha, entièrement clôturée, entourée de citriques, jardin arabe, d'autres arbres frutiers comme figuiers, amandiers, grenades, nèfles, vigne et oliviers. Entièrement restaurée, avec une décoration rustique bien soigneé. A votre disposition: Deux chambres pour 4 personnes (max 5), salon avec cheminée, petit salon, cuisine salle à manger, un patio, salle de bains avec douche, piscine, terrasse et parking.

Nettoyage avec traitement à l'ozone complémentaire au nettoyage traditionnel, pour garantir une hygiène totale.

Las extensives plantations de citron et orange sont la première chose ce que perçoit le voyageur en abandonnant la côte et s'approchant au Vallée de Guadalhorce, aussi connue comme 'Valle del Sol'. Avec une population de 13.500 habitants, le village de Alora se grimpe sur le haut d'une colline d'où il domine la vallée du rivière Guadalhorce. Après les phéniciens, romains et wisiogoths, en 711 les arabes ont occupé le château/forteresse qui est encore au centre de la localité. En 1484 les Rois Catholiques ont récupéré le domaine de la ville.

La position de Casa Altavista propose une promenade de seulement 5 minutes pour rejoindre le village. En Álora vous trouverez tout le nécessaire pour passer de commodes vacances: supermarchés, marchés de fruits et de poissons, pharmacie, boulangerie et des bars et restaurants où vous pouvez goûter la cuisine locale et 'tapas'. Un domaine culturel sont aussi la fête de 'sopas perotas', la foire et les processions de la semaine sainte (Pâques).
Sans aucun doute "EL CAMINITO DEL REY" dans le domaine municipal de Alora et seulement à 12 km de la Casa Altavista est un des monuments naturels plus beau d'Andalousie. Une région idéale pour faire de grandes promenades dans la nature, monter en bicyclette de montagne, la escalade ou simplement prendre un bain rafraîchissant et un picnic à l'ombre des pins qui entourent ·el embalse (réservoire) del Conde de Guadalhorce, avec des magnifiques installations et location de bateaux/kayaks.

Wonderful location with wonderful views and only a five to ten minutes walk away from the town . Be aware there is a steep hill on the way back. Great communication with the owner who is very very helpful and very easy to talk to.

Fantastic views which ever way you look.

The premises are well appointed, with fantastic views. It is situated quite close to all the amenities the town has to offer but is not recommended for those who have difficulties walking up steep inclines. We really enjoyed the daily movements of sheep on the nearby hills and the other animals.

Beautiful peaceful casa

The house and surrounding citrus and olive groves are just beautiful, and perfectly positioned on the hillside on the edge of Alora, having magnificent views and solitude, yet within walking distance of the town. We were there to be active, enjoying rock climbing and walking every day in the warm autumn/winter sunshine, and the house was just absolutely the perfect place to begin and end each day. The very friendly and affectionate cat was delightful company. Thank you Miguel, everything was wonderful.

Great country villa with beautiful views

Miguel was a great host and I felt immediately welcome and at home. Villa is located on the edge of town (10-15 mins to walk to shops, restaurants etc). It has beautiful far reaching views. It’s very comfortable and well furnished, has extensive grounds with many different fruit trees. It was very clean and is well equipped. It has a two ring gas hob and an internal and external BBQ. There is a lovely terrace to sit on with sun and shade and a small pool which is a short stroll from the villa through the grounds. It was such a relaxing and peaceful stay but with Alora town easily accessible, even without a car. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

3 Weeks in January

We drove down to Alora from the UK, stopping overnight in France and Madrid. Miguel, the owner, met us at Casa Alta Vista and in his excellent spoken English, provided us with a wealth of information about the house, it’s history, the town of Alora, some great routes for us to explore on our Ebikes and some must see places to visit by car. Casa Alta Vista is a traditional Spanish farmhouse, which has been tastefully restored and provided with all mod cons. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. With its elevated position, the views from the house of the town and surrounding countryside are amazing, as are the grounds, which contain orange, lemon, hybrid orange / lemon and olive trees. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but only a short walk from Alora, a charming town with its traditional buildings, a castle and lots of small shops. It was great to sit outside a bar in the town square, basking in the warm sunshine, with a cerveza and watching the world go by. Miguel is such a nice guy and very helpful. We enjoyed hearing about the work he has done at the property, the cultivation of his citrus trees and his plans for the future. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks at Casa Alta Vista and are happy to recommend it!

What a gem

There is a big part of me that doesn't want to tell other people just how special this property is as I will definitely go again, and hopefully again & again & again !!! The land is very well kept as a working farm / small holding. Miguel told me that 15 tonnes of lemons were taken off the land this year and olives still to come. A mixture as well of other including oranges, pomegranites, grapes, just to name a few. The turtles were quite a surprise, they are quick to jump into the pool and dive away on hearing you coming, but a little bread and they make quite a display and can they move suprisingly fast. Both fascinating & quite amusing to watch. Family have owned the property for about 25 years, having bought it as a retreat from their busy lives in Malaga and it is clear how much they love and cherish this home, with help from the locals during the harvest times. Everything you need is provided, it is clean and very comfortable and although just a two bedroom is actually much larger than you would expect with a large courtyard area out the back with a utility area, washing machine etc. What makes this property stand out above many other 'rural' villas in the area, is its closeness to the village (easy walking distance), yet feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but also its easy access to fast roads that can get you to many places quickly. From here, we did the local bits, El Chorro, Ardales Lakes, the villages of Ardales, Carratraca, etc, but also were able to get to places like Ronda and Olvera in around an hour. Granada and Cordoba also would be only about 2 hours. We mainly self catered - Mercadona supermarket is well stocked and has everything you would need, but a light snack (tapas) and drinks in the village are unbelievably cheap. Miguel is very welcoming, superb English and happy to share knowledge of area. Had a slight problem finding it - not because the directions were wrong at all - found the road no problem, just couldn't see entrance - the reason was that there was a car and a van on either side of the entrance, leaving just enough room to get between but looked like it was blocked. Best thing once you find the road is to carry on up it, past the traditional properties on right hand side & not much to the left. You will then reach a point with new properties on left and right and right at this point is the red gate on left that leads you down track to main gate as shown in photos. Thanks Miguel

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances, la maison est parfaite, la vue magnifique. Le terrain est superbe et entretenu, il y a beaucoup d'arbres, un bassin avec des tortues... Cet endroit ressemble au paradis ! Le propriétaire est sympathique.

Une semaine dans un cadre idyllique

La maison de Miguel a beaucoup de charme et d'authenticité. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre semaine passée au milieu des citronniers, figuiers et oliviers dans un environnement reposant. La piscine est également très agréable car même par grande chaleur, elle reste fraîche toute la journée. Les deux petites chattes sont très attachantes, sans oublier les tortues ! Enfin Miguel est un hôte particulièrement avenant et sympathique, avec qui nous avons aimé échanger. Merci pour cette semaine !

Nous avons passé une dizaine de jours à Alora, et sommes revenus enchantés de notre séjour. Le gite est très agréable, très bien rénové et aménagé, très bien situé, en retrait et au calme tout en étant aux portes de la ville. Gite entouré d'orangers, citronniers, ...... vue superbe sur la vallée.....les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. l'andalousie est vraiment une région superbe !!!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr schönes Haus auf einem großen, schön und ruhig gelegenen Grundstück. Wir wurden vom Vermieter sehr freundlich empfangen und haben viele Ausflugstipps erhalten. Alora ist ein netter kleiner Ort mir Restaurants und Geschäften für den täglichen Bedarf. Die Küste und viele andere Ausflusziele sind gut ereichbar.

Miguel is super vriendelijk en goed bereikbaar. Onze hond kon vrolijk rondlopen op het enorme domein en de kinderen konden heerlijk badderen in het zwembad. Het is op een rustige plek gelegen, het uitzicht is fantastisch en op 10 minuten wandelen sta je in het dorp. Ook Malaga, Ronda en andere uitstappen zijn goed te doen. Er is een treinstation in Alora waardoor je in 40min in Malaga staat. 8.50 euro voor een retourticket. Wij zijn verliefd geworden op dit huis en deze plek en zullen zeker terugkomen!

Tolles Ferienhaus am Rand von Alora

Das Ferienhaus bot alles was wir suchten. Ruhige Lage am Rand von Alora und trotzdem so nah, dass man zu Fuß den Ort erkunden konnte. Der Pool ist klein, aber eine sehr willkommene Abkühlung. Ein schattiger Platz zum essen und ausruhen. Auch die Hängematte in den Zitronenbäumen habe ich oft genutzt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Miguel ist ein toller Gastgeber, seine Tipps waren sehr hilfreich. Wir haben von Alora aus tolle Ausflüge nach Antequera, Granada, Malaga, Marbella und Nerja unternommen. Absolutes Muss ist die Wanderung durch den Caminito del Rey.

Oase in Malagas Bergland

Das Grundstück von Miguél ist eine wahre Oase. Wer auf der Suche nach einer besonderen Unterkunft, umringt von wunderschöner Natur ist, ist hier genau richtig. Der Ausblick von der Terasse über die Obstbäume auf die Berge und den kleinen Ort ist himmlisch. Der Haus ist rustikal und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In der Küche fehlt die ein oder andere Kleinigkeit und der kleine Backofen ist auch nicht der Hit. Dafür kann man wunderbar auf der Terasse grillen. Der Ortskern ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt und dort kann man auch gut Essen und bekommt alles was man braucht. Miguél ist sehr sympathisch und gibt einem wertvolle Tipps. Rubio die kleine Katze fehlt uns jetzt schon. Ein Aufenthalt in Miguéls Landhaus in Alora ist sehr zu empfehlen und ich hoffe wir haben die Gelegenheit wieder zu kommen!

Landhaus Alta Vista

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Familienzeit in dieser Unterkunft. Man ist fernab vom Rummel und kann die andalusische Landschaft richtig geniessen. Schön, dass das Dorf und somit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten so nahe sind. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und die Kommunikation bei der Übergabe verlief einwandfrei. Wir würden sofort wieder Ferien an diesem wunderschönen Ort machen.

Erholung pur

Nachdem wir pandemiebedingt unseren Aufenthalt in Alora zweimal verschieben mussten, hat es nun endlich geklappt. Wir hatten also 2 Jahre Vorfreude, wurden aber nicht enttäuscht. Das Anwesen ist toll und weitläufig und wurde hier schon mehrfach ausführlich beschrieben. Wir können die positiven Bewertungen alle bestätigen. Das Haus ist vom Platz her ebenfalls großzügig bemessen (wir waren zu dritt), es hat einen rustikalen Charm und war für unsere Belange absolut ausreichend. Es ist ein liebevoll restauriertes altes Bauernhaus, großartigen Luxus oder Schnickschnack gibt es nicht, haben wir auch nicht gebraucht. Auf krabbelnde kleine Mitbewohner (Ameisen) muss man sich allerdings einstellen, aber mit ein paar Vorsichtsmaßnahmen (nichts offen rumstehen lassen an Spüle oder am Herd!!) und den (ausreichend vorhandenen) Insektensprays lässt sich das gut in Schach halten. Es ist eben ein altes Haus mitten in einer intakten Natur, also eigentlich völlig normal, und hat unseren Aufenthalt in keinster weise getrübt. Hervorheben möchte ich die bereits mehrfach beschriebene unkomplizierte und freundliche Abwicklung der Buchung und die nette zuvorkommende Art des Vermieters, der unsere Reservierung problemlos zweimal verschoben hat und auf alle Fragen oder Hinweise immer schnell und freundlich reagiert hat. Als „Ausgehen-Tipp“ möchten wir auf Marias Bar, 10 min Fußweg und mit englischsprachiger Besitzerin (wir können kein Spanisch…) hinweisen, ansonsten haben wir keine besonders erwähnenswerten Lokale entdeckt. Zum Frühstück waren wir mehrmals in der Cafeteria/Panaderia Los Arcos (5 min mit dem Auto), lecker und günstig und eine Wahnsinns-Kuchentheke. Apropos Auto: wir waren sehr froh über unser doch recht kleines Mietauto, mit einem größeren Fahrzeug, Limousine, Kombi, SUV hätten wir sicher keine Freude an den sehr engen steilen Straßen in Alora gehabt! Ausflugstipps: ca 30 min mit dem Auto an El Chorro (Stausee) vorbei zu den Stauseen bei Ardales, dort beginnt die Wanderung über den berühmten Caminito del Rey, im Navi „El Kiosko“ eingeben, dort kann man i.d.R. auch kostenlos parken. Für die Wanderung unbedingt vorher im Internet Tickets kaufen. Das Gleiche gilt für den absolut empfehlenswerten Besuch der Alhambra in Granada (ca 1,5 Std Fahrt, die sich auf jeden Fall lohnen). A little piece of heaven

Miguel's villa is a little bit of heaven, which feels like you are tucked away from the world - despite only being a few minutes from Alora. Nestled in a beautiful lemon grove, you are a step away from several trail walks. It is an excellent property if you love going outdoors and enjoying the beautiful Andalusian countryside. Miguel is knowledgeable, friendly and cannot help enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks

Great stay

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at this property. Close to Álora town, only 10 minutes walk. I would recommend having a car because there is a lot to see nearby, such as Caminito del Ray and Ronda. Some things to have in mind: The location is relatively quiet but there are sheep bells, dogs barking and jets flying over (the approach to Malaga Airport is right above the house). The streets of Álora are steep. There are no good restaurants at Álora really. We found Maria's Bar to be great though. The the owner is at the property 1-3 times a week to attend to the plants. There is no bother really, but good to know that he is there sometimes. The owner is a really nice person and gives you all the info you need. We can totally recommend this property to others.
