Villa Van Gogh private getaway with pool for 2

Dear Jason, Thank you for your lovely review of my property. I am going there in October. I can't wait 😀

Dear Nikki! So lovely of you to leave such a glowing review. It’s hard to put into words how wonderful it is to be away from people :) We are very happy you enjoyed your stay and look forward to hosting you again.

Dear Oscar, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re delighted that you enjoyed the stunning views, peaceful surroundings, and outdoor areas of our property. We appreciate your comments regarding the kitchen cleanliness and access instructions. The property is professionally cleaned after every guest but we take on board your comment and will speak with cleaners. With regards to the access we had an issue with VBRO pinning us in wrong location. This has now been resolved. Thank you again for your positive remarks and choosing to stay with us. We’re glad you enjoyed the charm of the property and hope to welcome you back in the future!

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It makes me jealous. The villa is my spanish home. For this and that reason I have not been able to go there for 2 years but I miss the tranquility so much.

Dear Alan, Thank very much for your review. It was great to know you enjoyed your holiday at our villa and we would be happy for you to stay with us again! Best regards, Derek and Marina

Dear Marilee, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are pleased to know you enjoyed the tranquility of the villa with its olive and almond gardens. The outdoor patio area is a great chill out area early evening. Hope to see you again again at our villa! Best wishes, Derek and Marina

Dear Christopher, Thank you for your positive comments. We understand your extreme disappointment. You thought you were booking a villa in the town that was walking distance to amenities but you found yourself in the country up in the hills. We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding our location during your stay. We want to assure future guests that a technical error with our map pin has since been completely resolved with Vrbo, and our listing now accurately reflects our true location. Our location suits people who want solitude and seclusion. As you can see from our wonderful reviews. It does not suit people who want to be in town. So that is why we agreed to issue you a refund. We are currently staying here at the villa with a normal car and have no problem with the dirt road which you are on for approxiamately 5/6mins . Of course if you are expecting tarmac sealed roads to the Villa then you will be disappointed. The hot water system has been good since we arrived. Regarding the comments about rats. Unfortunately the villa is located in the countryside. There have always been fruit rats ( not sewer ) on the property they are part of Spanish rural life. We have 5 hectares of olive trees. They live in the trees and eat olives. We are currently staying at the villa ourselves and after 2 weeks have not seen any rats at all. The property is professionally cleaned after every guest leaves. We will pass your comments on to the cleaners. We appreciate your feedback and will review the maintenance points mentioned to continue improving the property for our guests.

Dear John, Thank you so much for your complementary review. Although the last bit of road to the villa is a dirt road you are only on the riverbed for 4 minutes and on climb to villa 2 minutes. You soon become comfortable with it. Water? The big problem in Spain. The water is dispersed throughout the property on a timer. It had probably sank into the dry earth and thats why you did not see it. It did not rain in Alora for over a year. All wells dried up. I have to periodically pay for a truck full of water.

Dear Kivagn, Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased you enjoyed the splendid solitude that the Villa offers guests to unwind from the hustle bustle chaos of todays crazy world. 🙂 Unfortunately we can only get satellite WiFi and so cannot get faster Internet. We look forward to hosting you again soon.

Mark and Maria, thank you so much for your lovely review. It means a lot to us that other's feel the same way we do about the villa. Thank you once again.

Dear Laura, thank you for your very positive review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay!

Dear Julia and Sacha! Thank you so much for your lovely review. We hope to see you again. Derek and Marina

Estimado Fernando, gracias por tus amables palabras. Fue la tranquilidad, la privacidad y la comodidad lo que me impresionó cuando buscaba una villa para comprar. Mi villa era, con diferencia, la mejor que se ofrecía en ese momento. Dear Fernando, Thank you for your kind words. It was the tranquility, privacy and comfort that impressed me when I was looking for a villa to buy. My villa was by far the best on offer at the time.

Thank you for your positive review. Unfortunately wasps are an important part of the ecology . They really don't wish anyone harm. Some people think of them as the enemy. They really are not. If left alone they represent a small nuisance. If you try killing them then obviously they react. " A world without wasps would be a world with a very much larger number of insect pests on our crops and gardens. As well as being voracious and ecologically important predators, wasps are increasingly recognised as valuable pollinators, transferring pollen as they visit flowers to drink nectar. "

Dear Adrian! Thank you for your lovely review. With regards hot water. Sorry that the boiler turned itself off but Pepe came and fixed it quickly. Not quite sure what you meant by " bugs in the house failed us " . Apart from maybe ants if any food is left out.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We are most happy to know you enjoyed your holiday with us!

Dear Mieke and Kees, thank you very much for you lovely review . We are most happy know you enjoyed your holiday with us! Thank you for being such a wonderful guest!

Dear Graham, thank you so much for your great review! We are pleased to know you enjoyed your vacation with us!
