Westgate River Ranch 2BR Cabin + Waterpark
Saddle up for an authentic Florida ranch getaway in this spacious two-bedroom cabin at Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo — one of the only true dude ranches in Florida, set on 1,700 acres along the Kissimmee River, about an hour south of Orlando in Polk County. If you're looking for wide-open skies, horses, a Saturday night rodeo, and a slower pace than the theme parks, this is the place. Trade your flip-flops for boots and come experience one of the last untouched corners of old Florida!
THE CABIN
At 1,400 square feet, this two-bedroom cabin comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests: a king bed and a queen bed in the two bedrooms, plus two queen sleeper sofas for extra guests or kids. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, so two families or groups can settle in without sharing — and one bath features a relaxing jetted tub for soaking after a day on the trails.
The open living and dining area is built for hanging out together: a 51" flat-screen TV with satellite service anchors the living room, a second 42" TV is in the bedroom, and a wet bar makes it easy to mix up a drink before heading out for the evening. The fully equipped kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, coffee/tea maker, and all the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils you need to cook a real meal in — or skip the dishes entirely and take a short golf cart ride to one of the resort's restaurants.
Step outside to your own screened-in patio or wrap-around porch — a great spot for morning coffee before the day heats up, or for winding down after the rodeo. Additional comforts include a washer/dryer, hairdryer, alarm clock radio, and a phone with voice mail.
INCLUDED WITH YOUR STAY
Every booking includes daily admission to River Country Water Park — a $20+ per-person value — right on property. Cool off on three winding waterslides, float in the lagoon-style pool, or let the kids burn energy on the splash pad with its mini slides and spray cannons. There's a swim-up bar and shaded cabanas if you'd rather relax poolside.
You'll also have access to the resort's Activity Center, which puts out a new schedule of guided activities every single day for every age group, and offers free checkout of bikes, sports equipment, and games — so there's always something to do without spending extra.
A DUDE RANCH IN THE HEART OF FLORIDA
This is one of the largest authentic ranches in the southeastern U.S., and the property backs it up with real western activities (some require paid reservations), including:
• Saturday Night Rodeo with trick riding, barrel racing, and bull riding in front of a packed arena, plus line dancing at the Ranch Saloon
• Horseback riding and pony rides for younger guests
• Airboat rides and swamp buggy tours through the Florida backcountry — keep an eye out for alligators, turtles, and bald eagles
• The Cowboy Adventure Park, with a mechanical bull, rock climbing wall, and more
• Fishing at the catch-and-release pond or from the full-service marina
