We are Krizia and Josh. Lakewood is our lake house, built new in the hardwoods on the quiet side of Lake Anna and opened in spring 2026. Krizia is a designer by trade, and the house shows it, every room put together with the same care we would want walking into a place ourselves. We live in Northern Virginia, close enough to look after the house properly, and we host the way we would want to be hosted: everything ready when you arrive, and us a message away the whole time. If anything is not perfect during your stay, we want to know, and we will fix it fast.

We looked all around Lake Anna and kept coming back to this side of the water. The public side is the quiet side, wooded lots, still mornings, neighbors who wave. What sold us on this land in particular was the privacy: we have our own cove, tucked away from the boat traffic on the main lake, so the water off the dock stays calm and quiet in a way the busy side never does. And the quiet brings the lake to life. The fishing off the dock is great, turtles sun themselves along the cove, beavers work the shoreline, and a pair of bald eagles lives across the water. We love it, and we never get tired of seeing what shows up. Lake Anna State Park sits directly across the water, about four minutes around by road, so you get the beach, the trails, and the boat launches without staying next to the crowds. And the hardwoods were the finish. Coming up the driveway through the trees still feels like arriving somewhere secret.

The house lives like three separate zones, the main level, the Bar Room, and the Game Room downstairs, so fourteen people can share a weekend without tripping over each other. The best of it is outside. A wooded trail runs from the house down to a private covered dock, with a wood-burning fire pit set among the rocks along the way. A kayak and paddle boards wait at the water, a floating dock makes it easy to get in and out of the lake, and if you watch the far shore you can often spot the bald eagles.
