Really beautiful place. Communication with the host was great. Such a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the area. The night skies here are incredible. We even got to view the northern lights right from the hot tub. Definitely would recommend staying here!

The view of the lake and surrounding landscape is stunning. Every morning the sun rises and it looks almost like a sunset over the water. The sheep and horses in the area are charming.The cabin itself is so clean and you have all the amenities of home, including a kitchen with cookware. I would definitely stay here again. My husband really enjoyed soaking his sore muscles in the hot tub after climbing the stairs at Skógafoss. We both enjoyed sitting and just enjoying the view and the endless stars at night.We were able to explore so much of Iceland and then get to return to a quiet and beautiful home.

Beautiful home, we were so thankful that we got to stay here for four nights. It was so calm and quiet, a nice way for us to end our holiday in Iceland. We were able to make use of the hot tub, which was so nice and warm. Pictures do not do it justice, it was a truly stunning place to stay.

Very clean and comfortable, a perfect central location to the Golden Circle, Selfoss, Vik, the Westman Islands, and yet amazingly relaxing, soaking in the hot tub on a beautiful peaceful lake after day trips. Our family loved the lakehouse and we'd highly recommend it to others.

The house was exactly as advertised! So cozy with amazing views. Perfectly located for everything we wanted to do and a great, quiet place to come back to after exciting days of sightseeing! Great Location - super relaxing - everything you need

Stayed here with two kids and two adults - fantastic location, very peaceful and quiet. Located about 5 km off of the main highway 1, it was a great central place to take in some of the Golden Circle sights and also going down to Vik and the Black Sand Beach. Rejkavik was also within reach if we desired, but we had a separate stay in Rejkavik. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay. Best thing was the hot spring tub on the deck. Saw the Northern lights nearly every night. Hosts were very friendly. Good location for touring sth part of island.

Weekend away

House was very clean and had everything we could ask for. Location was remote but gorgeous. We had amazing views of th northern lights 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. Was a good midway point for all of the things we wanted to see. Would love to stay again.
