## Quartier

Nous sommes Ă  seulement 10 minutes de FlĂșĂ°ir, oĂč vous avez une piscine, une petite Ă©picerie et le vinbuĂ° (magasin de liquor). Reykholt se trouve Ă©galement Ă  proximitĂ©. Vous y trouverez la cĂ©lĂšbre ferme de tomates FriĂ°heimar (l'un des endroits les plus frĂ©quentĂ©s du cercle d'or). La ferme Efstidalur n'est pas loin non plus, il y a un bon restaurant et des glaces faites maison. Laugavatn n'est pas loin non plus, lĂ  vous avez Fontana (lieu de sauna). Et bien sĂ»r, le point culminant du Cercle d'Or Gullfoss et Geysir se trouve Ă  proximitĂ©. C'est un super endroit dans la campagne islandaise.

Lage ist sehr gut, Ausstattung der KĂŒche auch, alles sauber, auch im Winter warm (wir waren ĂŒber Weihnachten und Neujahr dort), Sauna ist in Wirklichkeit eine Infrarot-Kabine (fĂŒr uns ok), Whirlpool bleibt schön warm.

Quiet & Relaxing Paradise in South Iceland

We had a quiet, comfortable stay at this well-located home near Selfoss—perfect for exploring the Golden Circle, Selfoss, and Westman Islands. Check-in was easy, and the house layout was spacious and functional. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances, drinkware, and cutlery, and there were plenty of essentials in the bathrooms and kitchen, except for trash bags (easily purchased nearby).The bathrooms were clean, though both showers had some mildew—likely due to the house being very warm on arrival. It cooled quickly with windows open, and we felt safe even sleeping with them open.Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, though the living room TV’s smart features were unreliable. The hot tub was a highlight, with easy access from the master bathroom. Washer and dryer were convenient, though the dryer controls were hard to interpret.The host was responsive to non-urgent messages. Departure info was limited, but we understood we needed to take trash to a nearby drop-off.Minor wear (e.g., a freezer handle and small flooring damage) didn’t affect our stay. The area was peaceful, with the lovely sound of birds and sightings of Icelandic horses nearby.The listing was very accurate, and the guest book was both helpful and entertaining. Patio furniture and an EV charger would be great future additions. We'd gladly stay here again.

Das Haus entspricht leider nicht den Bildern. Es macht insgesamt keinen guten Eindruck. Wir hatten hier eigentlich 3 NĂ€chte gebucht, sind aber nach der ersten Nacht weiter gefahren. Die Inneneinrichtung und Ausstattung ist teilweise in keinem guten Zustand und auch aussen ist es wie auf einer Baustelle. Die SchrĂ€nke sind voll mit irgendwelchen Sachen und sind somit nicht zu nutzen. Wir haben dem Vermieter direkt nach unserer Ankunft sehr viele Bilder ĂŒber den Zustand des Hauses geschickt, dieser hat das aber leider als nicht so wichtig abgetan. Gleich danach hat der Vermieter auf keine Mail mehr geantwortet. Hier kann man nur von einer Buchung abraten. Passieren kann immer mal was, aber dann sollte man auch eine Lösung anbieten und nicht einfach abtauchen wie es der Vermieter hier macht. Leider konnten wir hier nur 8 Bilder hochladen, aber wir hoffen das reicht um anderen Reisenden einen Eindruck zu vermitteln.

Wonderful house close to Major points of Interest

We stayed a week at this lovely house. There were four of us - two couples. Everything about the house was as described. It was well equipped, clean, in a great location, and lovely inside and out. We took advantage of the hot tub and sauna after our daily adventures in the South of Iceland. There was lots of room, a well laid-out kitchen with all of the kitchen items we needed to cook each night. The water was hot, heating was constant and wonderful and it was great to have 2 separate bathrooms as either side of the house. The washer and dryer were as added bonus. We had such a lovely time in Iceland and staying in this wonderful house and being able to cook for ourselves added so much to out trip. And...best of all, we got to see the Northern Lights in a setting with very little ambient light, right from our doorstep. It was a sight that none of us will ever forget.

Remote location but central to key sites

Good location, remote but still central to most of the major sites. Had everything two couples needed. We enjoyed looking out the big wall of windows and there was plenty of room to spread out. Saw the northern lights from the house on a clear night. Some items that need addressing: the bathroom by the door was very dark, most of the lights weren't functioning, so it was dark to shower and do laundry. The keybox is hard to get open. Lift up on the fridge door handle or it won't shut all the way and it won't be as cold. Hold the microwave cabinet door up to use it, almost came down on our head. No response when contacting host twice via VRBO messages. Just pointing these out for future renters. Overall we really enjoyed the house and our stay.

Great trip

The location was excellent and iceland was amazing. Had trouble communicating and felt some things needed more instructions (hot tub,tv,thermostat etc. Coming from where we are from things were a little trial and error. Response were not quick especially if had real emergency. Things that need to be addressed is water pressure in one bathroom and many light bulbs throughout home. Im not bashing at all. Just honest feedback. Our stay was great and place was in a great spot for us to get to everything on our list.

Beautiful home

The property had everything we could’ve asked for. The hot tub was heated and ready to go. The sauna was able to be easily used and enjoyed. The beds were primo. Clean up with Simple. Communication was simple a little difficult to find but once we found it, it was easy for us to continue in and out trips. Would be very willing to stay here again.

Wonderful property!

Perfect location for exploring Golden Circle & South Coast 
 with a small grocery store 15 minutes away! Property was very clean with well stocked kitchen. Unfortunately we were so busy we didn’t have time to enjoy the hot tub or sauna. Communication with host was fantastic 
 including a wonderful packet with great local information prior to the stay!

Fabulous Bucket List Trip to Iceland

House on the Golden Circle is the place to go for complete peace and quiet away from urban bustle. It rained everyday – we ignored that – so make sure you have good wet weather clothing. The house is about 25-minutes from the delightful city of Selfoss which is a fun place to walk with some good eating. Groceries are easily purchased at Kronan and you really don’t need any cash. I spent five nights in this clean and tidy home with my two daughters and a son-in-law and it was perfect for our needs, although we traveled every day. For company we had horses in the surrounding fields and swooping Killdeer. The largest bedroom does not have black out shades so you may want a sleeping mask. The owner was friendly, communicative and check-in was easy. All kitchen utensils are provided but we only had breakfasts; lunch and dinner were on the road when we explored Icelandic cuisine. Our time was limited so we chose this location as the “bottom point” of the Golden Circle in order to hit specific locations: the Southern coast (Vik), and then Thingvellir, Seljalandsfoss, Skogavoss & Gullfoss waterfalls, Geysir, Kirkjufell, Reykjavik, the Snafellsness Peninsula and other places. We also highly recommend the intimate Fontana Hot Spring Spa for a relaxing afternoon.

Wonderful location!

This property was a great location allowing us to visit all the sites within driving distance each day. The house was very cute and well maintained. Nice quiet location with a view. Definitely recommend staying for week.

Haus mit Potential

Wir haben fĂŒr 6 Tage das Haus gebucht. Kurz bevor wir angekommen sind, gab es eine Wegbeschreibung und ErklĂ€rung zu dem Haus. Leider funktionierte das Ausenlicht nicht und auch der Vermieter konnte das Problem nicht lösen. Die KĂŒche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Whirlpool und Sauna liefen einwandfrei. Cozy Home in the Country

This was the perfect home base for my husband and I while we spent time im South Iceland. The location perfectly balanced our desire for privacy/seclusion while still being writhing reasonable driving distance to stops on the Golden Circle and great food in Selfoss. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. We were also very blessed to see a spectacular showing of the Northern Lights on our first night.

Amazing stay

The location was absolutely amazing, it’s location is perfect for if you want to do golden circle; or south coast. All information was provided by host in email. Answered all questions I had, the inside of the house was beautiful. Tons of amenities provided. We enjoyed our stay and got lucky to catch a beautiful northern lights show on our last day thanks to this property being where it was. Will be returning to this property when we come back.

Beautiful house!

Lovely, quiet house, with friendly horses down the road! Easy check-in and very responsive host. Expansive views from the house and relatively short drives to various waterfalls and hikes nearby. Great kitchen; had everything we needed for cooking. Loved the hot pot outside too! Hope to return!
