Surrounded by the typical Swedish landscape of forests, lakes, red wooden houses and open meadows, this lovingly renovated holiday home offers a peaceful place to enjoy your stay. The owners, Barbara and Matthias, fulfilled their dream of owning a Swedish holiday home with Sommerlycka and now share this special place with their guests.

The peaceful location on the outskirts of Fågelfors makes the house an excellent base for a relaxing holiday in Småland. Whether you enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing or day trips to some of southern Sweden’s best-known attractions, you can experience many different sides of Sweden from here.

With approximately 76 m² of living space, the holiday home accommodates up to 4 guests. The house features one bedroom with a double bed as well as a sofa bed in the cosy living room, providing sleeping space for two additional guests.

The bright living area with its attractive wooden floors creates a cosy atmosphere and invites you to relax. A Smart TV and Wi-Fi provide additional comfort during your stay.

The fully equipped kitchen offers everything needed for a comfortable holiday. Facilities include a ceramic hob with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle and a wide range of cookware and tableware.

The bathroom features a shower and washing machine. A modern air-source heat pump together with electric radiators provides comfortable indoor temperatures during your stay.

A particular highlight is the spacious property of approximately 1,220 m². The terrace with garden furniture and kettle barbecue invites you to enjoy relaxed summer evenings outdoors. Here you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, look out over the greenery and experience the typical nature of Småland.

There is also a small red garden house with its own terrace on the property, adding even more traditional Swedish character to the setting.

The area around Fågelfors offers numerous opportunities for nature lovers, families and explorers. A small fishing lake only around 300 metres away is ideal for peaceful hours by the water. The popular Lake Övresjön, with its swimming area and jetty, is also within easy reach.

Some of the region’s attractive excursion destinations include the impressive More Kastell gorge, the Ryningen birdwatching area and Målilla Älgpark. Families also enjoy visiting Astrid Lindgren’s World in Vimmerby or exploring Katthult, the original filming location from the Emil of Lönneberga films.

The coastal town of Oskarshamn with its archipelago can also be reached in less than an hour. Other popular day trips include Kalmar with its famous castle, the island of Öland, the Kingdom of Crystal around Kosta and the national parks of Norra Kvill, Åsnen and Store Mosse.

Guests looking for adventure can reach Little Rock Lake with its zipline course in approximately 50 minutes. Västervik with its picturesque archipelago and the car-free island of Hasselö is another worthwhile destination.

Ferienhaus Sommerlycka is a non-smoking holiday home. One dog is welcome for an additional fee. Final cleaning is included. Bed linen and towel packages can be booked optionally. A refundable security deposit of €150 is required.
