This house was perfect! It was clean close proximity to food and grocery store. They had yard games, closet full of games to play, the shower was big. The host was spectacular with communication and was able to accommodate a last second change to the schedule. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay when coming to Canyon

This is just a nice little place. It’s like being at elderly family members house. So neat, organized, and clean.We loved the backyard! Also super close to good restaurants, shopping, and 20-minutes from PD! Lovely stay.

Day trip to Palo Duro

Great little place. We stayed with another couple for 2 nights while we explored Palo Duro Canyon. Walking distance to grocery stores and a few good restaurants. Was exactly ehat we jeeded. Would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic!!

This was our second visit to this amazing cottage. Last year, we stayed here for a relaxing weekend after our wedding. This year, we choose to stay here again for our one year anniversary! This house is so cute and comfy, adorable finishing touches all around the home. We looooove the hot tub and the gorgeous lights and landscaping in the back yard. One of our favorite little retreats :) Amy is always so kind in her messages too! She’s great to communicate with and leaves us the sweetest notes before we check in.

Superb!

We had a wonderful stay at The Cottage! Amy thought of everything. We had some family come and visit us one evening for a cookout and the kids had a wonderful time playing in the backyard. The house was very clean and well stocked. The attention to detail was great. If we make our way to Canyon again, we will book this house again. The house was close to EVERYTHING!

A Visit to Palo Duro in Canyon

Canyon was a very cute little town that we were not expecting on our visit to Palo Duro Canyon SP. The Cottage was extremely charming, clean, and exceeded our expectations. The owners thought of everything someone might need and it was available. Beds were comfy and the furniture was comfy too - so many times you find these VRBOs with WayFair generic modern furniture which is too small and too hard to actually be comfortable even though its cute in photos. This home was a real home with soft cozy features and delightful charm. Loved all the toys for the backyard the owners had on hand and the neighbor cat wandered over to say hello as we sipped coffee in the AM and listened to the doves coo. A great place to come back to after hiking in the heat of the canyon. Owner instructions for check in and check out were super simple and they were easily available by text throughout the visit. Highly recommend The Cottage in Canyon for a visit.

Another Great Stay

Enjoyed another great stay at the Guest Cottage in Canyon. Highly recommended. Convenient to Palo Duro and grocery shopping. Also checkout the Creek House Honey Farm and Winery.

Fantastic host and location

The Cottage is a beautiful home and Amy is the best communicator. We checked in late at night and she made the process very easy. The house is in walking distance of many restaurants, just one block away from Best Thai (highly recommend it). We’ll stay here again!

Cutest lil cottage!!!

My husband and I stayed here for a mini-honeymoon weekend getaway after our wedding. This home is so cute, comfy, and perfect!!!!! The little details, the signs, everything is amazing. We loved the comfy couch for tv time, the hot tub is fantastic, and the backyard gazebo seating area was so cozy. The bed was super comfy, my hubby loved the pillows! We will absolutely be back. Oh and Amy was wonderful to chat with during our stay! Very responsive and sweet. We couldn’t have had a better visit!

I grew up in Canyon, TX, where The Cottage is located. I have loved this house ever since a friend's family rented it a short time while we were in high school. I never dreamed that one day, I would own it and rent it as well! Our family bought it in 2006 and it became my home until last year when my husband and I got married. I couldn't bring myself to part with the house and so once again it has become a vacation rental. In the years I have had it, we have replaced the windows, gutted and remodeled the kitchen, scraped popcorn off of ceilings, and a 100 other things that have made it like it is today.

This property is so special because after having had it for several years, I have been able to really fine tune all the details of the house to make it very comfortable for guests. I've made it exactly how I would want to find a vacation rental with special touches, attention to detail and lots of fun amenities.

The Cottage has so many wonderful features. The front porch with a swing is a nice place to relax, while still seeing people go to and fro. The backyard has privacy, a hot tub, a gazebo covered patio, hammock, bikes, and outdoor games. Inside, you will find basic toiletries like you would in a hotel, robes, a Keurig coffee maker, a game closet, a DVD collection, cable, internet and plenty of space for making yourself right at home. It has cottage style decor, that might even give you a few ideas for your own home!
