SituĂ© Ă  Barton City Mi sur le paisible lac Jewell d'environ 200 acres (fond sablonneux / grande aire de jeux!) au cƓur de la forĂȘt nationale huronne. +/- 900 pi2 cabane en pin noueux sur une route trĂšs calme, 7 couchages, 2 chambres avec 1 lit Queen, 1 lit double / superposĂ© et canapĂ©-lit, tous les draps sont fournis. 1 salle de bain complĂšte avec serviettes. Cuisine garnie d'agrafes (cafĂ©, farine, sucre, sel, poivre, Ă©pices), casseroles / poĂȘles neuves, micro-ondes, cuisiniĂšre, rĂ©frigĂ©rateur, lave-vaisselle, cafetiĂšre, grille-pain, mixeur. Grand salon en pin noueux avec vue imprenable sur le lac, tĂ©lĂ©vision Ă  Ă©cran plat (ABC / CBS / FOX), Blu-ray et 2 cheminĂ©es (1 avec bĂ»che Ă  gaz pour une utilisation au printemps / automne). Grande terrasse attenante avec barbecue Ă  gaz, table de pique-nique, chaises Adirondack et superbe vue sur le lac (super endroit pour voir le feu d'artifice du 4 juillet) ou bancs au bord du lac pour profiter du foyer. Quai avec bateau en aluminium de 12 pieds avec rames, pĂ©dalo et 4 VFI pour adultes. Cabine nouvellement ajoutĂ©e en location, tous les nouveaux plats / pots / lignes / serviettes / lits.
La semaine de location typique est du samedi au samedi (arrivée à 16h, départ à 10h)

A very quiet stay on a very beautiful lake, just perfect for us and our dog. You can swim or fish right from the dock, and the kayaks and rowboats make the rest of the lake accessible.

The welcome basket was a nice feature upon arrival. We refilled it after enjoying a few of the items. One chair needed some care as it was very well worn. We enjoyed our stay visiting other areas and liked being able to travel & include our pet.

Had a wonderful time. Cabin is beautiful and well maintained, had to spend a day inside due to storms but didn't mind with all the games and movies to entertain. The private beach area and lake were both perfect, enjoyed kayaking around the lake at sunset. Had a great breakfast at the hammer and nail, highly recommend. Overall a wonderful experience, would definitely recommend if you're looking for a quiet lake house!

Nice getaway

Great little cabin, nice area and the lake is beautiful. We had a lot of fun fishing and caught quite a few bass and panfish. Ken is a great host and responds promply should you need anything. Highly recommended!

Cozy cottage on beautiful lake

We really enjoyed our stay. It is in a quiet location. (We were there early June.) We appreciated that the cottage had all of the staples. There is a quaint store within walking distance. We used the kayaks and rowboat and enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner on the deck. We ran into a couple small items that the host addressed right away (great communication).

Amazing property and location. Lake house is perfect, clean, comfortable, well stocked, and well kept. Very impressive yard, plush grass. Great dock, easy entry to water, perfect swimming area. The deck at the house is large and comfortable, breeze seemed to allow towards house which kept things cool. The nicest grill I’ve seen at a rental property by far. Great fishing at the lake, great hiking nearby at Reid Lake. Very short walk to bar, diner, and market. Nice pickleball court at close park, wish brought our paddles. Will return and recommend to friends.

Perfect family (and pup) getaway

My family was able to immediately slow down from the hustle of everyday life when we arrived at the Knotty Pine Retreat. The cottage had everything we needed and it was a comfortable stay in every regard. (My daughter misses “that couch” - best napping spot around!) The lakefront was our favorite place to read, wade, and sit around the fire; the kayaks and row boats got daily use. Walking to the nearby park and grabbing brunch at Hammer and Nail are among other highlights of our trip. Ken was the perfect responsive host - thank you for allowing our pup to join us too! We took many memories with us and are so grateful for this space to just “be” this week.

Hi, I am Ken, and with my wife Michelle, we are offering this cabin for rent. We live in South Lyon and are 'up north' most weekends (we have a cabin across the lake from this rental). We have 2 college age boys and 2 English Setters.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Michelle and I purchased this cabin in the fall of 2013 to 'keep it in the family'. We built a cabin on the other side of the lake in 2000, however from the time I was a baby I was coming up to this 'side of the lake'. This cabin is next to other family members and was very important to us to keep it in the family. I have 2 boys that will eventually end up with this place. In the interim we have chosen to rent this so others can enjoy the area/cabin/lake as I have for 50yrs.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This is a very family friendly location. Lots of room to enjoy the outdoors with the large lot, fire pit, deck, lakeside bench. There is a hiking trail around the lake, accessible from the end of the road, as well as Reid Lake nature area 3miles away. The 'ball diamond' is located in the park 1 block away with 'old fashion' playground equipment, a basketball court, horseshoe pits and is the 'center' of the Biggest 4th in the North.
