Le point d'ancrage capitaine Cook Lodge est une maison de vacances journal entiÚrement équipée avec 6 lits et 2 salles de bains et 1 620 sq. Ft. De surface habitable. Deux des lits sont des lits queen. Les couples pourront profiter de ce bùtiment impressionnant de journal et il est un favori pour les familles et d'autres grands groupes. Le premier étage dispose d'une cuisine complÚte, une table à manger pouvant accueillir 8, salle familiale avec centre de divertissement, TV HD par satellite à écran plat, mobilier inclinable en cuir et un bureau d'ordinateur avec une connexion Wi-Fi; salle de bain complÚte avec douche / baignoire, salle de lavage avec laveuse et sécheuse grande capacité, et une chambre avec un lit queen-size journal. A un ou-a-kind journal escalier mÚne à la grande mezzanine avec quatre lits, un journal lit queen-size et une salle de bain douche / baignoire pleine. La façade du bùtiment a un grand porche ouvert avec un barbecue à gaz et une table et de caractÚres. Il ya beaucoup de caractéristiques spéciales dans ce bùtiment, y compris de vastes cette sculptures à main et articles reconnaissant l'explorateur James Cook qui capitaine ancré au large de la plage ici mai 1778. Cuire nommé cet endroit "Anchor Point» aprÚs son navire le HMS Resolution a perdu une grande ancre ici le 28 mai 1778.

We loved being out away from towns but not too far to travel into Homer or take small drives to see wildlife near our location. Very comfortable and unique place to stay!

Captain Cook Lodge Cabin

Amazing cabin with a peaceful setting. Pay attention to the artistic and handcrafted details it’s incredible. The host John was great, excellent communication and ensured we had everything we needed. We will be back again for sure.

Captain Cook Lodge

Only was able to spend one night at the Captain Cook Lodge. Beautiful cabin and very well equipped and comfortable. Close to Homer. Right off the highway but was quiet.

Loving Alaska

Lovely property

We love coming to Homer for an annual family trip each year and this spot did not disappoint. The upstairs area is a large space with 5 beds all in one open bunk area with one bathroom. The house was clean, well stoked, and perfect for what we needed for a weekend fishing trip.

Reservations for Bear Paw adventure are managed by John, SR from the Bear Paw Adventure reservation office in Texas. In addition to operating Bear Paw Adventure, the family has interests & hobbies that include hunting & fishing, camping, hiking, boating, wildlife viewing, birding, gardening, log work (both log building construction and log furniture making), photography, geology, the environment, hunting for gold, snowmobiling, traveling Alaska, art, collecting (coins, rocks, stamps, fossils, etc), Alaska Native culture, and just about anything else associated with the outdoors or Alaska. Bear Paw Adventure engages in environmentally conscious cleaning practices and is a member of Adventure Green Alaska.

Bear Paw Adventure’s unique log buildings are situated on 14+ acres of an old homestead site. This use of the property is the first since the homestead days. We have attempted to keep the site, to the extent practical, as we found it. Evidence of the homestead activities can still be seen on the land. The slope of the land protects the property, to some extent, from the brisk winds off Cook Inlet. It is a nearly wild site with lots of spruce trees, alders and wildflower and a great place to watch for moose, eagles, ravens and other wildlife.
