Un environnement magnifique qui offre une vue incroyable sur la rivière Little Tennessee (une rivière qui coule vers le nord), les montagnes environnantes et diverses cascades, la propriété est bordée par des terres du Service forestier.

 * FLORE ET FAUNE - Une région incroyablement riche de notre flore - la Caroline du Nord abrite 69 orchidées différentes, de nombreuses fougères, l'endroit est extrêmement riche en champignons et en herbes naturelles (cette zone n'a jamais été glaciée).
* WILDLIFE - Cerf, lapin, dinde sauvage, oiseaux en grande quantité, dinde sauvage, du héron bleu au colibri à gorge rubis ... Les colibris arrivent fin avril et partent avant les premières gelées.
* EMPLACEMENT - Le chalet est situé à environ 1 mile de l'autoroute 441 et à 2 miles de 12 restaurants dont la célèbre maison Dillard à environ 12 miles de Highlands de Dillard ou si vous êtes à l'aise avec la conduite en montagne, assurez-vous de prendre la Gorge Road de Highlands à Franklin - visitez et photographiez la cascade le long du parcours - Dry Falls, Bridal Veil et Cullasaja. Le chalet a tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Accès facile à un jardin biologique privé pour cueillir des produits de saison. Allée pavée, foyer et balançoire à l'une des chutes. Facile d'accès au chalet sans circulation de pare-chocs à pare-chocs, il n'y a pas de routes sinueuses et de routes escarpées pour se rendre à la destination du chalet. Aucun trafic à entendre, juste la petite rivière Tennessee et les oiseaux. Les vues sur la montagne depuis le chalet offrent un changement à mesure que le soleil et les nuages se déplacent sur les faces des montagnes, menant la description de Land of Light et Shawow. My husband & I stayed at this quaint cabin & enjoyed the peace & quiet. Our favorite thing was the front porch where we spent time just relaxing, enjoying the scenery of the yard & mountains, & watching the various birds coming to the feeder. One evening, we just sat there until after dark listening to the night sounds of birds & the river flowing in the distance. So very peaceful which is what we needed.

We were enchanted by this charming little cottage with the big porch overlooking the mountains.. The birds who visited every day to feed were a special treat. Our little dog was made welcome by our kind hostess, as were we. Carman filled us in on best places to dine and nearby waterfalls. The cottage is small but perfectly appointed and comfortable for the two of us. We especially appreciated the great coffee! Can’t wait to visit again!

The cottage was beautiful as well as the surrounding nature. It was super clean and filled with everything you could possibly need. Carmen, the owner, was extremely nice and was there for any questions we may have. We got to meet Carmen before we left and got to walk through her amazing garden. Carman’s cottage is an incredible refuge from everyday life or city life- and is a wonderful, peaceful stay. She is a consummate host with years of experience and knows how to make you feel more than a client. The porch- the amazingly equipped space for cooking- laundry or just lolling about - are all fantastic . This place is hands down the best place we have ever stayed! Carmen and Jim thought of everything. The binder with all the local restaurants and things to do was perfect. The porch? Our favorite VRBO cottage! This is simply the perfect cottage with beautiful mountain views from the large front porch. A few minutes walk on a trail to waterfalls with a swing to sit and enjoy all in a gorgeous forest. A few minutes walk to a gorgeous river with a place to sit. The cottage is beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped for any cooking you may do. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding is top notch. It was extremely clean and very well thought out. Our host was hands down the best VRBO host we have ever encountered. Flower and cookies greeted us and a book full of things to do also excellent communication. We checked out Black Rock Mountain for stunning views, Mud Creek Falls is a spectacular waterfall you can drive to, and the Highlands are filled with beautiful views. I would absolutely recommend for someone who wants a beautiful, cozy, and beauty filled vacation among the mountains.

Welcome to Roberson family farm. I was launched into the culinary field both in education and career.by Univ. of GA.
In 1997, I returned to the homestead to care for my Mother and to fashion the next chapter of my life. I purchased the building and moved it to the site and set about making it a haven for myself. After Mother passed, I tackled the original farmhouse eventually moving in there when Jim retired and moved to the farm.
I am deeply connected to this land, this area, this paradise. There is much maintenance on a farm this size and of course one must pay the "taxes on Tara" I had thought to sell some acreage, but the realtor I was working with suggested VRBO and thus began my newest career. It is my dream to pass along the farm to my beautiful and talented and daughters. It is a blessing to share homecoming with my children, grandchildren and friends. I feel the land calling to me, I hear the word enduring, I hear my Mother playing the fiddle, and I hear my Dad calling "Baby Snooks" time to come in.
The preparation for inviting guest to the cottage opened my eyes to the abundance of flora and fauna, the natural beauty that surrounds us. Blooming abundantly are wildflowers, wild herbs, berries-black berries, wild black raspberries , elderberries, wild blueberries, and black walnuts trees. Deer, wild turkey, rabbits, grouse and occasional bear can be seen.
There are nights when the cottage is empty, so Jim and I take advantage and enjoy the night coming down, the moon rises, and the river sparkles and its quiet and there is peace

This is a piece of paradise chosen by Carman's family Wonderful family farm with some of the original out buildings Carman has a deep roots and abiding love of the surroundings natural beauty. Jim also comes from a farming family background. Jim is captain of the Honey Do List.The cottage is part of the family farm Take a walk on the milder side; an easy stroll through nature. Our nature trails is a great place to find a lot of solitude and fresh air. You can see the stars at night. The natural landscape is beautiful, especially in the spring, when the returning coaxes every shade of green is, imaginable from the forest. There are wild apples in blum, pussy willows, fiddlehead ferns, You might see red crossbill, yellow warbles or scarlet tanagers or you can hear them. Chipmunks are very abundant in the early spring doing there busy errands. Late in the day you might see rabbits or deer. The meadow will be wildflowers beginning to bloom.

The cottage has a Little Tennessee River view that is very restful. The River is one of the few that runs North. Bring your fishing pole to try your luck at a great catch .There 4 private waterfall on the property, several walking and log mountain trails to follow. The private streams have lots of minerals as ruby and specks of gold to pan .Just ask, we supply the gold pans and ruby mining. The afternoon sunset are of different colors and changes very fast with each view more beautiful. The family farm is part of the NC AGRITOURISM.
