La maison peut accueillir 8 dans 3 lits queen et un futon en taille rĂ©elle. Il a 2 salles de bains et une vue imprenable. Dans la cour avant, il y a un parc de softball, avec des bascules, un toboggan, des balançoires et un foyer. La maison a des planchers de bois franc et accepte les animaux. La petite ville de Whalan est situĂ©e Ă  seulement 6,4 km Ă  l'est de Lanesboro. Vous pouvez marcher, conduire, nager, faire du kayak, du vĂ©lo ou du canoĂ« entre les deux villes. La propriĂ©tĂ© est situĂ©e Ă  seulement un pĂątĂ© de maisons de la piste cyclable d'État de Root River et Ă  environ 3 pĂątĂ©s de maisons du World Famous Pie Shop.
Cette maison de plus de 100 ans a été déplacée, de son emplacement d'origine en face de la tarte, et surplombe maintenant le mini-golf Gator Greens. La maison a été éviscérée et entiÚrement refaite. Excellent emplacement pour les amateurs de vélo de tous ùges. Whalan est situé à seulement 6,4 km de Lanesboro et à 13 km de Peterson. C'est l'une des parties les plus plates du sentier, offrant de superbes vues sur les falaises ainsi que sur la riviÚre.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this property. Great location, with the park across the yard and privacy. Plenty of room for 6 adults, 2 active toddlers and infant. Very clean, loved the deck for coffee in the morning and deer watching. Neighbors were so friendly and sweet!Our family had a fabulous stay and will use Cyclin-Up again. Thank you so much!!!

Getaway Close to Root River Trail

The property was comfortable and had the essentials. Its proximity to the bike trail was what attracted us and I would rent this house again. The bedrooms are either on the second floor or in the basement so lots of stair climbing is unavoidable.

Bicycle Getaway

Great place to stay for biking on nearby trails. Cute and quirky. Would not recommend it for people with mobility issues due to amount of stairs leading to the bedrooms.

Girls Weekend Getaway

We had the best time! I am so glad we stayed where we did because if we hadn’t, we never would’ve experienced Whalen and all the hidden treasures like the depot, the pie store, and cedar valley resort! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun place to unplug!

The house was very convenient for biking on Root River Trail. The basement bedroom was comfortable but the stairs were very steep and narrow.

Quiet location

Nice, quiet location, and clean. I would say the owner should update the VRBO listing on full size beds to three. Currently it starts four full size beds but, the fourth full size bed was a futon. Had I read that, I wouldn’t have booked this house. A listing should be a honest depiction of the amenities. I won’t pick this listing again.

High on the Hill

The house was fine but nothing special. We did not know that the second bathroom and a bedroom were in the basement. Two more bedrooms were upstairs, but no upstairs bathroom. There was minimal silver ware and no glasses that seemed usable. We bought glasses to use. The Coffee pot did not work. We notified the owner on the 2nd day and she brought her coffee pot to the house while we were out biking. We were there to bike mostly so we made it work. The location was as described up on a hill. The house was walking distance to the small town where one store was open during our 5 day stay. It looked like a nice bakery across the street from the trail, but this time of year, the owner is only open on Saturday. Lots of steps and they were dusty. There was a cobweb in the basement bathroom. The water barely trickled out of the shower head. The basement bedroom did have windows, so that helped but it was 10 degrees cooler in the lower level. It was a quiet house at night. A park is right next to the house if you have children. The house has an interesting history of how it was brought to this location and installed on the hill. It was very adequate for a few days for the two of us.

I own and operate this house. I am originally from Duluth, and has migrated south. I runs the Gator Greens Mini Golf course and keeps the guests happy.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This house was 'Free to a good home', but we had to move it 4 blocks and completely remodel it. We put it on a walk out basement, and placed a large 10x20 deck overlooking the mini golf course, bike trail and the river. The inside offers 3 bedrooms all with great views. Lots of wild life to experience, deer, squirrels, birds and the like. Private setting.

This house has a great view, wonderful deck and exceptional city park in your front yard, which includes a baseball diamond, fire pit, swings teeter totters, slides and monkey bars that is one of Whalan's best kept secrets. Located near the end of Bench Street, it offers you a private, wooded adventure. Nestled along side the original homestead of John Whalahann. John deeded the property to the city of Whalan and thus created Whalan. The house is currently being remodeled too. The house is located just one block off the Root River State Bicycle trail, allowing for Cycling enthusiasts great access to the trail.
