From spring through fall, I live on a golf course community near Indian River Bay on the Delaware coast. From late fall through winter, I migrate back to our villa in Bavaro Beach, where I spend about 35% of the year.
I'm a Real Estate Broker by trade â owner of Pat Fahy and Associates in Philadelphia, and one of the first female Broker-Owners in the state of Pennsylvania. My daughter Lori, also a licensed Broker (PA Broker of Record, Bally Gwynedd Realty), co-hosts the villa with me.
We've owned this villa for over a decade and have been hosting guests here for 11 years.

I manage the property personally with the help of an experienced local team:
â GREGORY â our Villa Manager for several years. Speaks English, Spanish, and a few other languages. Greets every guest at check-in.
â LOCAL TECHNICAL AND REPAIR STAFF â quick response for anything that comes up
â DRIVING TEAM â airport transfers, excursions, anywhere you need to go
â CHEF RAFAEL â available daily or for one special dinner
â DEDICATED CLEANING TEAM
Lori and I are both reachable 24/7 throughout your stay â by message, WhatsApp, or through Gregory on-site.

I've stayed in many other apartments and rentals around Bavaro over the years. The difference between those places and our private beach community villa is real â and it's why I keep coming back to this one. Full window screens. Dedicated WiFi. Original Caribbean Mahogany throughout. Five marble bathrooms. Three outdoor decks. A 24-hour gated community three minutes on foot from one of the world's best beaches.
I come to the villa every fall to inspect the property thoroughly and plan the next round of improvements. We're always upgrading.

For 20 years, I searched over 30 islands in the Caribbean looking for the perfect vacation home.
I found it in 2012, in Los Corales. Within 10 days of first seeing the house, I owned it. I fell in love with the weather â warm and unwavering, year after year. Miles of white sand beaches. A beachfront community with a private beach, easygoing beach bars, and a BYOB welcome culture. This is where the expats gather in the winter, and a real village has grown up around us.
Inside the gates: incredibly quiet and safe. Outside the gates: more restaurants than I can visit in two months, plus pharmacies, bakeries, gelato to die for, the best popsicles I've ever eaten, and live entertainment on and off the beach.
It didn't hurt that there were over 30 nearby golf courses to choose from.
⊠MY IDEAL DAY HERE âŠ
A round of golf in the morning.
A snack and a cocktail at the Villa Blanca Beach Bar, followed by an afternoon under a Cana palapa on the private beach.
In the evening, dinner at one of the great inexpensive restaurants nearby, usually with friends â and after dinner, live music. Dancing under the stars never gets old.
Of course, none of it would be the same without my partner Bill.

You honestly can't beat the combination â this location, this beach, this community, this house.
That's why I bought it.

Los Corales is one of the very few gated, safe, quiet beachfront communities directly on Bavaro Beach. Our private section of the beach is attended by McKensie, our wonderful beach attendant â he'll have your lounge chair ready under a palapa for shade.
BYOB is welcome. So are the beach bars, who will bring whatever you want to your lounger. Villa Blanca Beach Club is my favorite. Cabanas are free with a drink purchase, and Sunday afternoon entertainment is excellent.
⊠THE NEIGHBORHOOD âŠ
Within the Los Corales gates, there are 2 restaurants. Four more sit on the beach right in front of the community, and 20+ more are a short walk just outside the gates.
The food is delicious and surprisingly inexpensive â most platters under $12.
Nightly entertainment runs the gamut: live musicians, different vibes, beach parties, and dancing. Even people who never dance often dance under the stars of Los Corales. This is a very fun place.
