Gwendraeth View est un charmant cottage anciens forgerons, plus de 200 années ancienne située dans un joli village avec vue imprenable sur la Gwendraeth Fach surplombant Carmarthenshire et Garden of Wales. Le chalet est plein de caractère avec dalles et planchers en bois, des poutres et un feu ouvert. Pour 5 personnes au total, 2 chambres, 1 double et 1 simple, salon avec canapé-lit, cheminée, cuisine de campagne bizarre, salle de bains avec douche dans la baignoire, chauffage central. Le chalet a beaucoup de fonctionnalités intéressantes et il y a des plafonds bas. Il y a un coin salon en plein air pour profiter de la vue et barbecue. Fantastique pour la marche, les plages, les montagnes, Ffos Las hippodrome. Pratique pour Carmarthen (6 miles), Lllanelli (11 miles) et le sentier côtier du Pays de Galles. Les propriétaires vivent en face du chalet et sont à portée de main pour toute question.

Lovely cottage

Beautiful cottage in an ideal location to explore both the Gower and Pembrokeshire. The rooms are perfect in size and we loved our stay. Heather was very helpful and when we asked for the heating to be put on the same day. Will definitely be back

Great cottage!

Lovely place with a working fireplace and garden. Only word of caution is that the bathroom floor is very slippery so walk carefully—one of us fell the first day.

When we arrived the heating was on and there was plenty of wood for the fire. We soon felt warm and comfortable. There was a lovely welcome note, some milk and Welshcakes. We reallg enjoyed our one night stay.

200yr old Welsh cottage near perfect for our 2 night stay

Cottage was clean and tastefully presented with everything we needed to sleep and eat. We washed our clothes after 2 weeks on the go. Central heating was also really nice! Only downside was that internet access as advertised was not available. But we got by using my phone as a hotspot. The welcome pack of firewood, milk and welsh cakes was really thoughtful. Never needed to disturb Heather for anything, so thankyou.

the cottage itself was very nice but for a partially disabled person I found it cold and uncomfortable. the sofa was far to low and the chairs extremely hard even using a cushion.

The comments that you have left are very disappointing. I try very hard to make sure that my guests have an really enjoyable experience. Your daughter thanked me when she left for staying "in our beautiful cottage". I had asked you beforehand if you were happy to go ahead and book, as I was concerned that the property would not be suitable for you, due to you being 83, but you did not let me know that you had health issues. I had to put the central heating on for you, in a middle of a heatwave, so any other guest would have found the temperature fine, if anything too hot. Next time you book accommodation, you should look carefully with your requirements. Kind regards Heather

We spent 3 nights at the property. It is well situated for easy access to neighbouring towns especially Carmarthen approximately 7 miles away and, which is well appointed with shops, drinking and eating establishments and with many retail outlets nearby. There are several attractions in the area which we were not able to take advantage of because of time. Kidwelly is a short trip (go to The Old Moathouse for excellent tapas - it is right next to the castle) and Tenby a bit further but well worth the visit. There is also a National Trust property at Dinefwr within driving distance and the must-see Dolaucothi Roman Gold Mine. The property itself has everything you could wish for a short stay including a well appointed kitchen and bathroom, comfortable lounge with an excellent TV, and two bedrooms. Heather, the host, has ensured that there is plenty of information about the area available and left a helpful welcome note. The wifi worked perfectly. Everything was clean and tidy. At the front there is a single parking space which was more than adequate for one vehicle whilst at the back there is a garden with extensive countryside views. Access to the property was via a key in a lockbox. Excellent instructions on gaining access and, subsequently, leaving were provided. Heather is a pleasant host who had first class communication with us both before and during our stay.

Excellente Location

Un très bon séjour à Crwbin dans le petit cottage très confortable et très bien équipé de Heather et Alun. L'équipement du cottage est très complet , sa situation est idéale pour visiter le Sud-Ouest du Pays de Galles. Heather est très accueillante et nous a donné de précieux conseils de visite. Bref nous recommandons bien volontiers cette location .

This was such a lovely place to stay; calm, clean and with lovely views of the countryside. The living room was a cosy place to relax and I imagine it would have been lovely with a fire. We would definitely return!

An enjoyable stay. Busy road but quiet at night

Nice house but as it was September it was getting a bit cold and damp. Time for the heating to be turned on. The television woke us up one night, it turned itself on. Maybe it is worth having a look at it.

Welsh bungalow

very nice bungalow but situated next to a busy (during the day) road and a lane - lovely views, cosy beds, ok walks up steep hills. Close enough to the National Botanical Garden of Wales which is huge and beautiful (we got a weekly ticket and went 3 times). TV worked well and the sofa was comfy to relax after hard days walking - bath was wonderful too.

short 5 night break in carmthenshire

myself and three friends arranged a last minute golf break in the area... We found the cottage to be exactly as advertised.. clean and quaint.. sleeping arrangements were not ideal for our group but we knew this before we went..1 double room ,1 single and a sofa bed , but the facilities advertised could not be faulted, decent size rooms for such a small property comfy beds , good shower with constant hot water, and a small but fully equiped kitchen ..lovely views from rear of property which is set in a small and quite remote village. Due to covid restrictions we did not have much contact with the owner Heather, but she was most helpful and pleasant to deal with... All in all this cottage was fantastic value for money and we had a great time ... thank you Heather

Hello My name is Heather and I have lived in Wales permanently since 2013 when I moved here with my husband Alun from Rugby, Warwickshire, England. We have always loved this part of the country and are now very happy to live here and hope that you will enjoy this beautiful part of the country in our lovely cottage, which is just over the road from where we live.

My husband Alun was originally born in South Wales and wanted to move back here, and I am from Leicester. I used to go to Pembrokeshire on holiday as a child, the next county to Carmarthen and I now have to pinch myself that this wonderful countryside is now on my doorstep. We both love the great outdoors and there is so much exploring to do here, walking, cycling, the beaches and Castles are all very close by.

Enjoy the stunning views from the balcony, double bedroom and kitchen of the Gwendraeth Fach and Carmarthenshire. There is a garden which also belongs to the cottage for quiet relaxation. You can also walk up the mountain, Myndd Llangyndeyrn and see 7 counties from the top and some ancient stone burial grounds.
