Great little beach cottage!

It was a little more old-school than what we usually prefer, but it ended up being super cozy and comfortable. The proximity to the beach and the Jekyll Island resort was great. We loved riding bikes to both sides of the island from the house.

Absolutely Wonderful House

We love this house! It was perfect for our trip. It was everything promised and more. The spacious common areas were great for spending time together. The Jekyll Room offers spectacular views; we saw so much wildlife in the back yard. We’re already planning our next visit!

A quiet stay with all the amenities of home

We enjoyed the location of this property. Located in a quiet little neighborhood. Everything on the island was just a short drive. Got to see the lights with our son and relax after Christmas. Easy arrival and key drop off processes when we left

Great location

Great location. Very clean and comfortable. Beach is a short walk or bike ride away. Quiet. Property came with a beach gear rental voucher which was handy. Definitely considering returning in the future.

We love staying at Fairwinds but this time just a few cosmetic and cleanliness issues. A large stain on the brick front of the house, appears it could be cleaned by pressure washing and we found long black hairs in the bathroom and on the bed when we arrived so we had to reclean ourselves. Otherwise, a great stay and comfortable home.

The only concern/complaint is there are a couple places in the home that the floor has step downs or step ups that can be dangerous if you are not paying attention to them. The Jekyll Room was a favorite of ours. The sun shines in but it does not heat up the room. From here you can watch the wildlife. Deer (lots of them), armadillos, birds (there are feeders) and squirrels. The patio is a nice place to spend some time. There is also another place near the carport to sit and watch the birds feed at the feeders. The kitchen is well equipped to make meals. The beds were okay. The twin beds were not comfortable for an adult that slept there. We enjoyed the quiet area. We would return and recommend this home. The washer and dryer was a plus for us!!

The layout is great, with the formal dining room leading into the living area and gorgeous sunroom with 3 big bedrooms and 2 full baths - but it’s the atmosphere that truly makes this place my new favorite home away from home. From the comfortable and classy furniture to the tasteful decorations with gorgeous paintings and all the little extras, everything together really made this an incredible stay. The spices and kitchen conveniences really helped us make some fabulous meals here. From all the steamers to cook seafood, to the sandwich maker and assorted knives, these homeowners thought of everything to make our stay complete. Just a few blocks from the beach, Fairwinds is nestled on a beautiful property with a magnificent Magnolia and captivating Live Oak trees. We loved sitting outside on the comfy chairs and backyard swing as much as in the beautiful house! We appreciated all the nightlights and extra lightbulbs for the home as well as the books - especially those about local birds - that added to our enjoyment. The deer who frequented the yard also added to the atmosphere to make this a stay we will never forget. We loved being able to fill the bird feeders and enjoyed the use of the boogie boards, frisbees, and buckets in the outside storage closet. Even beach chairs were provided although we never needed them. Jekyll Realty was great, too - sending someone with a replacement hairdryer and maintenance to fix the tub. Both items were addressed quickly while we were out, with only a note left to advise us of their timely completion. Perfect service! From fishing, beach walks, Red Bug rides around the island to mini golf and gorgeous sunsets, our stay could not have been more magical. Thank you, Fairwinds owners for giving us memories to last a lifetime!!

We loved the decor, location, the deer that came by every day. The best sleep we have had in a while. The Florida room was our daughter's favorite spot. We came from 8/31-9/7. Loved riding bikes and shopping. Can't wait to come back.

Good location, right in the middle of the Island. The only drawback is the majorly outdated decor, some of which is very sad and tired looking. Felt like we were in a time capsule! The updated appliances are great, but they serve to contrast even more just how outdated the furnishings are. On the patio is a nice grill and picnic table, but nowhere to sit except a couple of rickety, very old plastic chairs and wooden chaise lounges with no cushions.

We had a lovely stay at Fairwinds, a very charming home where we stayed for two magnificent weeks. We just fell in love whit Jekyll Island and all its beautiful nature.
