We are an active Ski family that have skied all over Canada and the USA. Have owned our own Condo and have rented it out in Utah. We chose to try Killington Mountain this year, and opted for a place that offered SKI/!N-OUT so my family could come and go as they please. The pictures looked OK, a bit rustic, but clean. So we rented it for the week December 31- January 5th/ 2019. Upon arriving after a 10 hr drive there was a note on the door "DO NOT to use the toilets, as they are working on the plumbing downstairs!?" I text Jon and he told us to check it out ourselves, and talk to the Service Manager. That was it. Nothing else the entire trip via communication, even though I asked him a few questions in the same text. We went in- and the place was spacious but the place has not been renovated or maintained for quite a few years- I am guessing in the 1070's? ( I took pictures and if I can post them, I will- as I do not want anyone to think I am exaggerating) The carpet was so stained and tramped on that we never went barefoot the entire stay. It was even damp to the touch from over-wear. The chair in the living room was missing a foot, so my husband did his best to use a few VHS tapes to support it. Pieces missing off of the side of the kitchen table. Odds and ends left in the kitchen. One drawer was full of old condiment packages all oozy and sticky- so we cleaned out the drawer. The key to the Ski locker did not work, as it was so old and sticky, we would insert it and it wouldn't move. Just stick there- I text Jon. Nothing back. So we brought our ski's inside. I also asked if there was ANY soap to wash our hands upon arrival, tissue? Toilet paper? We had half a roll of toilet paper and that was it for amenities. Not as advertised. Ski in/ out? Yes, there IS a chair lift right there. However, Pico mountain is not connected to Killington and that is where you want to ski. Pico is only open from Thursday to Sunday. Not great for a ski holiday? Plus when the one lift was open and working? It was closed for Ski Racers only ( I took a picture of this as well) SO we drove to Killington each day. Paid way more than we should have for these accommodations and communication was very poor. The maid came to our door the last night, apologized for disturbing us - ( not at all) and told us she hadn't heard from the owner? When are we checking out? We went and bought supplies- soaps/ TP, etc. for the next poor renter!
