Amazing place

We fully enjoyed our stay at a home that was in our host's family for 300+ years. Our host was very kind and took time to explain the area and things to see and do.

Great location!

This was a great spot in Porto. You are close enough to the good areas but far enough away that it isn’t loud from everyone enjoying themselves at night. We had a lovely time.

Porto accommodation

The apartment we stayed in was in an excellent location. Jose, the owner, was an excellent host. He showed us around the neighbourhood, took us for coffee, then advised us of places of interest to visit. Apartment had very comfortable bed & was very cosy. Fully recommend this apartment

The location was good. Close to restaurants and grocery store. The apartment was unique and offers a comfortable stay. The only drawback is there is no toilet on the first level and the guest staying downstairs will have to climb up to the 2nd level bedroom to use shower/toilet. Other than this inconvenience it was a good stay. Host was very helpful and responsive.

A taste of Old World Porto

José was so generous! He met us and showed us around the neighborhood, bought us expressos and pastries, and shared a bit of the beautiful historic place that has been in his family for a long time. We felt the heart of Porto there at José's charming and artful spot!

Great owner, location and stay!

Jose was fantastic. Gave us tips and ideas for our stay and made the arrival as easy as possible. Communication was perfect and answered any question we had before our arrival. The room was charming and clean. The two bathrooms upstairs were fantastic when getting ready to go out. Had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable. So many great places to eat nearby. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and it was quiet at night. Perfect room for a couple and would definitely stay here again.

Was so close to everything and the host was incredible- def went above and beyond to ensure we knew where we were and had to go! The apartment is beautiful and well kept. My onlyyyyyy thought is that the bed was very hard- we both did not sleep well. But the pros very much outweigh the cons- def worth staying!

Fabulous apartment

We were very impressed from the moment we arrived. The host was so welcoming and told us everything about the neighborhood. Where to eat, shop and the highlights of Porto. The apartment is so comfortable. The bed was very good and we both slept well. Everything we needed was supplied. It is so centrally located that we could walk to everywhere. Jose was the best host we could have asked for. When we arrived he spent an hour and a half showing us his beautiful city and sharing his family’s history. The home is 300 years old but had all the necessary modern conveniences. House of Charm is a perfect description. We walked all over Porto and other than using the funicular we didn’t need to use public transportation. Great location and nice and quiet.We hope one day to return to Porto and will definitely stay at the House of Charm. Thanks Jose for the wonderful memories. Wendy and Marlene.
