The cottage is very comfortable and quiet - perfect for 2 people who want to get away from tourist spots but still close enough to visit. Harrison was very helpful and responsive. Village pub is easily walkable and very friendly and welcoming Would highly recommend

Frankly disappointed having stayed in many properties in the UK, Europe, The States & Canada. One tea towel for 8 days stay, end of loo roll on arrival and no additional supply. Hair shampoo bottle enough for one wash. Minimal Cutex handwashing (ran out after day two!). Thankfully always take my own. Two mugs so wash up after use. Two wine glasses, one cracked. No rubbish disposal instructions, no proper tv instructions - thankfully i’m pretty technical! Duvet very heavy for time of year - duvet cover not ironed. Pillows like bricks. Not sure who from VRBO views these properties but!!!!! Photo advertising shows large barn so one can be forgiven for thinking this is the property - it isn’t. Westfield restaurant “The Wild Mushroom” made up for the disappointment of the citrage stay

High quality accommodation in lovely surroundings

We were very happy with the accommodation, very comfortable and in lovely surroundings. Totally dog friendly and safe for them to run around the garden. A few small tweaks - extra mugs/crockery and a doormat in particular - would make this even better

Beautiful property in glorious surroundings

A lovely large high quality apartment in a barn conversion. Set in beautiful countryside. Lovely gardens and lake.The only downside was the local pub and restaurant didn't open in the few days we stayed, so if you wanted to eat out you had to get in the car.

Relaxing stay

The property is set in the most picturesque place. You look out onto a couryard and then you see the miniture lake, it's beautiful. The property is furnished to a very high spec and is very comfortable and relaxing. The owner was very helpful when something on the tv didn't work, he came over and sorted it out. It's great for dogs as they have space to run around. It's near enough to get to many lovely places without having to travel too far. Highly recommend this place and I'm sure in the summer it would be even more beautiful.

wonderful few days

The property was in a quiet location with beautiful grounds and parking. It was spotlessly clean and was a converted barn with very high spec details. It was warm, welcoming and everything we needed. We cooked every day and the kitchen facilities were perfect. A comfortable bed and the most wonderful modern bathroom with the best shower we have ever had.Within easy reach of the seaside, we went to Bexhill, St Leonards, Hastings and Petts level.Although the weather was very wet we still had a fabulous time and felt very relaxed .The owner was very helpful and friendly but also left us to our own which was perfect. Would not hesitate to go back.

Delightful

The cottage was everything we hoped for: a lovely place, in a gorgeous, quiet setting, perfectly located for visiting the area. This is only the tiniest of quibbles, but it could do with a more thorough welcome note, spelling out what to do about tedious but essential things like the bins and so on. But it was easily figured out with a couple of messages to Harrison, so all good. (And this really is nit-picking, but someone needs to sort out the booklets and magazines in the drawer under the TV on local attractions - it's 2025 and we found some from 2019!) But, honestly, we don't want to be those pernickety people - and we thoroughly recommend.

Home from home in the country

We have spent almost seven weeks in this lovely cottage. With major building works being carried out at home in Bromley, we needed somewhere where we might escape the noise and dust; and Ivy Cottage has proved ideal. Nessie and Harry, her nephew, could not have been friendlier or more helpful, always on hand if needed; while Freddie, their large, black golden doodle, has run to greet us at every opportunity. Dasher and Ralph, our miniature dachshunds, have loved exploring the beautiful garden. Walks on the beaches at Bexhill and Cooden have proved exhilarating for the four of us; and only today, our last here, we have discovered Seven Sisters Country Park. Sussex is a lovely county, and Ivy Cottage is a lovely base from which to explore it.

Calme, propreté, tranquillité

Les pièces sont grandes et donc c'est très agréable. Tout était très propre à l'arrivée. Les photos sont parfaitement conformes. La salle de bains est très bien, la cuisine aussi. L'emplacement est pratique pour visiter le région et il y a un grand supermarché Sainsbury à moins de 10 mn de voiture. Seul petit bémol, communication correcte mais minimale avec le propriétaire. Une belle adresse de repos et de calme.

This was a nice place but not stunning and hence not 5 star rating. Vrbo advertise this with bbq, there wasn't one, this was big part of booking this property. Fortunately we'd asked a couple of days before so didn't take our bbq food.The place is nice n quiet n ample space for 2, however the bed isn't comfortable and there was only one large glass available which as it was hot week was more of an issue than sounds. The bath wasn't clean still had hairs in it and the scum around the edge where it clearly hadn't been cleaned. These factors certainly reduced our enjoyment of this property, which is a shame as this was v close to the walks we wanted to do and an excellent pub in Westfield-which was well worth the visit, We won't be returning.

Qualitativ sehr hochwertig

Eine hochwertig eingerichtete Wohnung auf dem Land. Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Für die Sauberkeit ziehe ich einen Punkt ab da auf den Fensterbretter Dreck und Spinnweben waren und im Gefrierschrank noch etwas drin lag und nicht alle Fächer auf gingen, da er total vereist war. Ansonsten war alles top.

The perfect escape

This is such a beautiful escape for 2 - even prettier than the pictures show, with all the modern amenities. It is super cosy and warm, and perfect for a dog too. The host communication was easy and friendly and we will definitely be returning. Could not recommend more!

High class property - in tranquil surroundings

Hi spec' property, lots of space for two people - really well laid out except for bathroom window (plain glass???). Lovely shared garden and ample parking space. No information pack which was the first time we have experienced this. Apart from the minor blips it was a really enjoyable stay - perfect to explore the surrounding countryside and towns - Rye is well worth a visit. The local Pub in Westfield (New inn) has great welcome and really good food without robbing the bank.
