Cherry Tree Cottage est un charmant chalet en cobb situé dans un village, au cœur de la vallée de Kenn et à seulement 8 km de la ville d'Exeter. L'emplacement idéal, juste à côté de l'A38 / A380 "Crossroads to Devon", donne un accès facile dans toutes les directions - la côte à moins de 15 minutes de Torquay, les sentiers de randonnée et de vélo de l'estuaire de l'Exe (qui vont de Dawlish à Exeter et Topsham et sur Exmouth), l'Est pour la côte jurassique (15 minutes), le magnifique parc national de Dartmoor (20 minutes), la magnifique vallée de Teign (15 minutes), la Riviera anglaise, Torquay et Paignton (25 minutes), Plymouth (25 Minutes) et North Devon (1 heure), etc.
La propriété dispose de 2 chambres - 1 double et 1 simple (3 couchages). Il a une cheminée Inglenook et poêle à bois, une cuisinière Rangemaster pour compléter la belle cuisine / salle à manger rustique, lave-vaisselle et laveuse / sécheuse. Il y a du chauffage au sol dans l'élégante pièce humide en travertin. L'escalier en chêne fait à la main est une caractéristique particulière de la propriété. Il y a un jardin paisible et joli chalet où vous pourrez vous asseoir et déguster un verre de vin!
Le village possède une boutique sympathique et bien approvisionnée et un bar du village (à 100 mètres de la porte), et à seulement un mile est le Ley Arms, un pub au toit de chaume du 12ème siècle.

My daughter and I had a very comfortable stay in Cherry Tree Cottage. Jacqui was so easy to contact and responded quickly with a question I had. Bedrooms and bed were so cozy. Backyard garden was just beautiful and relaxing. Cream tea was yummy. The French press for coffee was a plus for us.

Thanks a lot for being guest in this wonderful and lovely cottage. We loved it. Kenford is a little town with the best possibility to go to exeter and the darkmoor.We enjoed the stay very much. Jacqui is an wonderful host and gave all information needed and wonderful ideas were to go to and visit. Thank you so much. In the cottage we find all we needed. A wonderful surprise we found in the fridge for our first days in England. :)

Jacqui was lovely and even accommodated our early arrival so that we could drop off bags and head off to the Rugby match. Lovely cottage well situated for easy access to Exeter and surrounding areas.

Very comfy cottage, ideal location to explore Exeter and countryside West of the city.

Relaxing break which for us included a friend's wedding. Good local walks. Pub close by very friendly and good beer and food. Easy access to main roads to take you into Exeter, or North/West to Okehampton, Tavistock, Launceston and Dartmoor.

Lovely cottage

Cherry Tree cottage is lovely! Jacqui and Paul were such wonderful hosts and provided a cozy place to stay. They were so helpful with their knowledge of local places of interest for hiking, biking, and eating and so gracious in making me feel well taken care of. Really enjoyed getting to know them and the area.

A delightful cottage in a quiet charming village of Kennford. Very comfy cottage, excellent linens, great kitchen. Our hostess Jacki was very helpful and the check in process was smooth and easy. Would highly recommend this rental.

Spent 10 days at Cherry Tree Cottage. Lovely property in wonderful location. Had everything we needed and lovely welcome of Cram Tea waiting for us. Lovely walk from cottage to Kenn. Ideal location for exploring the coast and Dartmoor. Had a wonderful holiday, thank you!

A super little terraced cottage a short drive from the A38 making it a fab location for all there is to discover in Devon. Cosy with all you need for a comfortable stay. Handy shop a few doors down. A peaceful nights sleep after busy days exploring.

Perfect base to explore south Devon

Both my friend and I felt very comfortable at Cherry Tree Cottage. It had everything we needed (as described in the listing) and made the perfect base for exploring the area. Jacqui and Paul are clearly very experienced hosts who've thought of every detail. I'm very happy with this find on VRBO and would highly recommend it.

A great cottage

A lovely well thought out cottage that was designed with a visitor in mind. Well equipped but no clutter. The owner was really prompt at responding to my queries and always answered in full. As a single traveller I felt safe in the approach and once inside the property.

Ideal for location and comfort

Just what we needed - a comfortable little cottage with two bedrooms, all clean, very handy for a short drive to Exeter. Parking right outside the cottage wasn't possible as there are many cars parked nearby, but we managed to find a space close by. Thanks for the flapjacks!

Beautiful country cottage

Had a lovely 3 night stay in this beautiful cottage . I was welcomed by a plate of freshly made scones with jam and cream. It is perfectly situated for the Coast and moor and there is a great shop and pub in the village too. Thank you Jacqui and Paul .

Lovely cottage in Devon

We enjoyed our second stay in Cherry tree cottage. It is very cosy with lots of character. It is clean,comfortable and well equipped, with everything you need. Although we weren't lucky with the weather this time, the garden is lovely to sit out in when it's nice. The host made us welcome, with a cream tea and milk in the fridge. The location is good with easy access to many places to visit.

Cherry Tree cottage

Cherry Tree Cottage is cosy and clean with a beautiful garden and amazingly comfortable beds. It's very well equipped and proved to be a wonderful "home from home" for four weeks while we needed to be close to our newly-arrived grandson. Jacqui is a friendly and helpful host and her great attention to detail ensures that all guests have a very enjoyable stay. We particularly appreciated the very detailed tourist information and walking guides. The cottage is very well located with lovely walks - and pubs! - on the doorstep and easy access to Exeter, Dartmoor and the beaches of South Devon. We'll be back!

Paul and I have been lucky enough to live in Devon for most of our lives. I have lived in Kennford for 13 years - we live together now - just up the road! I most recently worked as a PA and Paul is our sound Accountant! We love being outdoors exploring the countryside, either on foot or on our bikes, and know that we have the very best on our doorstep. The Kenn Valley is stunning and we regularly enjoy a bike ride along the Exe Estuary trail or escaping to Dartmoor National Park for a walk and a picnic (just 20 minutes away). The city of Exeter has a lovely feel and there is of course lots to see and do. We also love to pop down to Topsham (the old Port). We hope you will feel free to enjoy the many walks and cycle rides we have left in the comprehensive welcome/visitor information pack so that you make the very best of your stay (we have done your homework for you!)

We do love the village. It has everything we need - with a great local shop, some great pubs and a village bar, but at the same time we are just a 10 miles from the coast and 15 miles from Dartmoor. We will never tire of this area, so we have decided to stay put and buy a holiday home so that you can get a taste of the good life!

When we saw the cottage we fell in love with it as it is just so characterful, but immaculate. It has the most beautiful handmade staircase and we love the exposed beams. It is a perfect combination of old meets new - with the stylish shower room, inglenook fireplace and beautiful oak staircase.
