Profitez de la magnifique vue sur les montagnes du parc national Acadia de l'autre cÎté de la baie, depuis votre salon ou votre terrasse. Faites une promenade de cinq minutes sur un sentier panoramique à travers une prairie ouverte de fleurs sauvages et de bleuets (en saison) jusqu'à notre plage privée. Essayez le kayak ou simplement passez une journée à ramasser des coquillages, bronzer ou nager.

Le confortable appartement 2BR 2BA est privĂ© avec ses propres entrĂ©es et terrasse extĂ©rieures. Le rez-de-chaussĂ©e comprend une cuisine, un salon, une chambre principale et une salle de bain, ainsi qu’une terrasse avec auvent rĂ©tractable et mobilier de terrasse confortable. La deuxiĂšme chambre et la salle de bain, ainsi que la buanderie, se trouvent au rez-de-jardin infĂ©rieur, ensoleillĂ© et lumineux avec de grandes fenĂȘtres. La disposition est idĂ©ale pour deux couples voyageant ensemble ou pour une famille dĂ©sirant un peu plus d'espace.

SituĂ© sur Newbury Neck, l'une des plus belles pĂ©ninsules du Maine, c'est un excellent endroit pour profiter du meilleur du Maine. Le parc national Acadia et le port de Bar se trouvent Ă  seulement 45 km (suffisamment pour une journĂ©e de visite ou de shopping), mais suffisamment pour vous permettre d’échapper aux foules et aux bateaux de croisiĂšre en fin de journĂ©e. Nous sommes Ă  19 km du village de Blue Hill, rĂ©putĂ© pour ses excellents restaurants, ses galeries d'art, ses concerts d'Ă©tĂ© et son magnifique sentier de randonnĂ©e menant au sommet de la montagne Blue Hill.

Nous avons plus de 1000 pieds de plage privĂ©e sur la propriĂ©tĂ© et sommes accessibles Ă  pied (1. 5 miles) de la plage publique et de Perry's Lobster Shack oĂč, en Ă©tĂ©, on peut s'asseoir dehors sur le quai et profiter d'un dĂźner de homard traditionnel du Maine.

Total rest & relaxation

We hit the jackpot! Nice, cleans, quiet cottage on one of the many bays near Bar Harbor. Coffee on the front patio watching the deer and wild turkeys was generally the start to the day followed by trips to Cadillac Mountain State Park, going to a local farmer's market in Blue Hill, playing tourist in Bar Harbor, and just enjoying the ambiance of where we were with no particular agenda. Lots of great local restaurants!! our particular favorite is the Union River Lobster Pot in Ellsworth, ME... so many great choices and reasonable prices. Really enjoyed our stay!

We love staying here!

Staying here in Surry with a magical view of the water and mountains is very calming and serene. We spent every afternoon on the porch enjoying the birds and deer. The property is set up like our home in Georgia - when I look for something, Ginny has put it in the same place I would have - makes it a very comfortable place to stay. See you next year!

Perfection in Surry

Ginny has provided everything needed at this beautiful home. It was thoroughly cleaned and in excellent condition. The kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms had plenty of clean, fluffy towels, and gear for outdoor adventures were provided. The location was stunning, we saw deer every evening at dusk. If you want a peaceful location with incredible sunrises, this is the place.

It was more than we ever imagined. Ginny is so welcoming and pleasant to make our stay so memorable. Her place is peaceful, immaculate and so neat and organized. Beautifully updated and simply elegant. Loved the ocean view from our own porch, deer roaming freely, birds everywhere and paths to walk to the beach or quiet walk on the main road. Beautiful view!

Very clean apartment. The hostess was super friendly and helpful. She gave us space and left clear instructions on how to use the TV, the washer and dryer as well as the dishwasher. Easy walk to a private beach with beach toys, beach chairs, life jackets and kayaks. 30 minute drive to Acadia National Park Excellent place to stay! â™„ïžđŸ„°

Peaceful, picturesque and comfortable

We spent a long weekend in Ginny and Dennis’s lovely apartment. The apartment was well organized, very clean, spacious and perfect for the two of us and our dog. The apartment will easily accommodate four people as there are two nicely sized, private bedrooms and two bathrooms. The mountain and water views and easy water access from the apartment is exceptional, our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer! Ginny and Dennis are caring and kind hosts who are there when you need them or will give you all the privacy you desire. We hope to return next season for more lobster and hiking adventures in nearby Acadia national Park!

Absolutely perfect

This apartment was perfect for our stay. Ginny was an amazing host and has absolutely everything prepared for her guests. She has anticipated everything that you could possibly need during your stay. The private beach was beautiful, we were able to have campfires a few nights and it is so peaceful. We also enjoyed kayaking with the provided kayaks and life jackets. There is a complete guide book that will offer ideas for local attractions as well as other needed info. The apartment is very weel kept, the views from the porch and beach are wonderful, beds and furniture are very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with nice quality pots, pans, dishes, bowls, everything you need to prepare your meals. We highly recommend this rental and plan to return next year.

Easily in the top 3 VRBOs that we have experienced

This property was absolutely amazing. From Ginny the owner who was such a delight to deal with to the home itself to the surrounding property and amenities, this place has it all, including a great location really central to all of the different areas of interest in the Bar Harbor/Acadia region. The home is so comfortable and has EVERYTHING you could possibly need. And it was perhaps the cleanest VRBO we have every stayed in. And Ginny was so accommodating and so helpful and really just a fantastic host. We ended up leaving a day earlier the we had planned, not because of any issues with the rental but because we were concerned about a forecasted storm and what traffic would be like getting home if we waited and left on a Saturday. We did not ask for any kind of a refund because it was our choice to leave a day early. But Ginny processed a refund for one night's stay on her own. I've never had any host do that. That's the kind of host she is. If you are planning to visit Bar Harbor/Acadia, stay at Ginny's place - I guarantee you will not be disappointed. We loved it there, and will definitely stay there again if/when we find ourselves heading to Bar Harbor again.

Fabulous experience!!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this property, as well as Ginny and her husband. She was very willing to work with us when we needed to make a change to our dates, and once we arrived, she went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The views from the porch as well as the waterfront (a VERY short walk and directly across the road) were fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the little bit of time we actually spent on-site. The apartment was meticulously clean and had everything we needed while there. We did not use the kayaks or the bikes but it was nice to have that option available, and the helpful information in the binder was a welcome perk. Acadia and MDI were easy to get to, and even our drive over to Schoodic was very easy. We spent half of a day in Blue Hill, hiking the Osgood trail up Blue Hill Mountain (which was OK, but after seeing Mt Battie in Camden and also the views from Cadillac Mtn, it was anti-climatic and too much work for the payoff!) We also went to see the Reversing Falls in Blue Hill near high tide (map provided by Ginny) - it was a VERY cool phenomenon to witness! Also, the gelato at nearby Pugnuts in Surry was yummy and worth the stop! We were celebrating our 25th anniversary all the way from Georgia and likely won't ever make the trip back up, but we have friends who are planning a visit and we will be HIGHLY recommending Ginny and her accommodations. Thanks for a wonderful three nights!!

All the amenities of home!

We enjoyed our stay here! Ginny’s apartment had everything we needed. We came to visit Acadia NP - about 45 minutes away. The apartment is located in a nice, peaceful, setting away from the crowds. We enjoyed walking on the private beach and the apartment was immaculately clean and quite comfortable. We utilized the washer & dryer, the grill, and the full kitchen. The beds were comfy, and the gas stove in the living room kept us warm and cozy. Wifi was good and we enjoyed watching shows on Netflix through their subscription. Ginny was a pleasure to meet and attentive to our needs! Thank you for the quality accommodations and the info on places to visit! We highly recommend this apartment!

There’s a reason for the 5.0 rating!

The accommodations and the hosts (including Abby the resident golden) were outstanding. We typically read all the reviews on a property - no one has written a single negative thing, and we agree wholeheartedly. We were fortunate to be onsite for a supermoon rise with a fire at the private beach. It was spectacular. The only thing I don’t recall mentioned in prior reviews is the port-a-potty at the beach - I laughed when I used it as it was cleanest that I have ever seen. We would highly recommend this rental!

2 couples getaway

This property was wonderful for our trip to enjoy the fall colors. It was a great location for day trips around the area, and a relaxing location for the end of the day. Breathless in Maine

The accommodations were very clean and had everything you could ask for. Ginny and Dennis were wonderful. They were very accommodating and willing to help with any questions. They guided us in our site seeing at Acadia which made our trip more enjoyable and complete. Their property has the most beautiful views of Acadia from a distance across the water with the most beautiful sunrises. This is a fantastic place!

Even After Years Still a Great Place to Vacation

We’ve stayed at Ginny’s several years in a row and it continues to be a great place to visit. Ginny is THE most meticulous and thoughtful landlady ever and the apartment is comfortable and in a perfect location—woods in the back, water in the front. View is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the seals go after the fish while kayaking in the bay. We love the lobster at Perry’s on the nearby dock and this year discovered the Union River Lobster Pot in Ellsworth.

We LOVED it here!

We had such a good experience here. Ginny was so accommodating and literally everything we could need was available to us. She was so welcoming and she was very responsive and helpful before our stay. The location was incredible, we got up early for every sunrise because it looked just like the listing pictures. We enjoyed time both around the property and in Acadia, which is about a 45 minute -hour drive away. It was the perfect location and we would definitely stay here again.

We are quiet, retired professors who enjoy sailing, skiing, travelling and reading. We have travelled much of the world, but we love Maine and would not want to live anywhere else.

My parents bought the property in 1952. My father was an Air Force Officer so we lived all over the United States, but every summer we came to Maine. As children we loved our summers in Maine, and as adults we grew to love the other seasons as well (especially fall and winter!) My husband and I built our retirement home on the property in 2002 and added the apartment for family in 2004. We began renting the apartment to the public in 2015 and have truly enjoyed sharing this beautiful place with guests from all over the world.

It is unusual on the east coast of the US to see mountains right next to the ocean, but Acadia National Park offers this unique scenery, and we have a wonderful view of this from our front porch. We love the quiet pace of Newbury Neck -- biking on the road, walking on our wooded trails, enjoying the beach, and simply soaking in the amazing views.
