Acadia Yurts offre aux visiteurs le moyen le plus unique de séjourner sur l'île Mount Desert. Sept yourtes amusantes et respectueuses de l'environnement et deux petites maisons vous rapprocheront de la nature comme du camping, avec toutes les commodités de la maison. Situé sur 5 acres de terres boisées charmantes, entouré par la propriété du parc national Acadia, les yourtes Acadia offrent une retraite paisible pour votre groupe (jusqu'à 4 personnes par yourte 24 ', 6 personnes pour la yourte 30' ou 2 personnes par Tiny House). Les yourtes Acadia sont également idéales pour les grands groupes voyageant avec un hébergement pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 34 personnes sur 1 site.

Une yourte est une structure de tissu circulaire en forme de tente avec un cadre en treillis en bois originaire des tribus nomades d'Asie. Ces structures permanentes et colorées ont des murs extérieurs en toile épaisse qui incluent une isolation réfléchissante et une pompe à chaleur / AC haute efficacité afin que vous puissiez être à l'aise en toute saison. Les yourtes deviennent rapidement une nouvelle expérience de vacances que les vacanciers apprécient à travers les États-Unis, des vues sur les falaises en Californie aux chalets de ski dans le Colorado. This place is absolutely beautiful! We will be back, the host is great and the place is amazing. We stayed in one of the yurts. Super comfy and just perfect for us. We did a lot of hiking, kayaking and biking in Acadia national park. Perch place!

Staying on the "quieter" side of Mt Desert Island, gave us the opportunity to hike new parts of Acadia with views just as spectacular as Cadillac Mt. ( Mt. St. Sauvier and Acadia Mt). The yurts were a great compromise for the 2 young adults wanting camping in the woods and us elders preferring a bed and kitchen. THANKS Acadia Yurts!

Fantastic little place

We had a great visit to Acadia and this clamping yurt was the perfect middle ground between camping and getting a hotel. The space was clean, bed was comfy and hosts were very communicative, but not hovering.

Peaceful and relaxing

We loved our stay. The yurt was clean, everything accessible to make our stay easy. Short drive to Bar Harbor for dinner and shopping. Short drive to Acadia Park. 10/10 we would absolutely stay again. I have to say that the tankless water heater was greatly appreciated when there were 4 of us showering to get ready.

My family loved our stay at Acadia yurts! The yurts are cozy and well appointed and we loved the location - nestled in the woods and away from the hustle and bustle. It was a perfect place to retreat to after spending time in Acadia and around the Island's busy towns. We can't wait to return!

We had a lovely stay in our yurt. It literally had all the amenities you would ever want or need. I would highly recommend staying here over touristy Bar Harbor.

Wonderful base for Acadia NP and Bar Harbor!

The yurt was very clean, and it was such a fun place to stay! We were only there for 3 nights, and with so much to do in the area, we just didn't have time to take full advantage of everything that Acadia Yurts has to offer (fire pit, wellness center, etc), but we'll definitely plan another (longer) stay there!

We had the most amazing week staying in this yurt! The space was cozy, peaceful, and just what we needed to unwind and enjoy nature. The owners were incredibly lovely and accommodating, so friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We truly couldn’t have been more excited to be there. Our two kids loved it! Everything was perfect, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Everything about this rental was what I had hoped for. Sturdy, warm, well-appointed yurt with thoughtful amenities. Pristine, serene, well-maintained property. Friendly, responsive yet unintrusive owners. Convenient to the park but tucked away. Fantastic wellness center with a myriad of offerings and classes. Highly, highly recommended!

Hidden Gem

Loved our stay at Acadia Yurts. The yurt was very well, equipped, and the location was fantastic on the quiet side of the island. Very easy location to access the park as well as lots of other local features. The entire property was fantastic. Very close to a fantastic coffee shop.

Hôte : Karen Roper

Aaron is a Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for 20+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite (pending availability).

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home; running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We truly hope you enjoy our property and your time here as much as we do.
