Extremely spacious property, amazing waterfront views from a very large outdoor area. Tucked away in a quiet, beautiful location, perfect to take a morning walk or evening stroll before relaxing in the yard with a fire pit under the star filled sky over the water. Perfect location, only 5 minutes to town or a public beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

There was a mix up with our check in date and the door was still locked when we arrived. We called the listed number and it was resolved within a half hour.Excellent location and dog friendly.Three plastic chairs provided for around the campfire. And fairly uncomfortable patio chairs strewn about the screened in porch. Kitchen utensils need upgrading. A lot of the larger plastic utensils had impaired integrity and melted portions. Only spice was expired salt. Couches are pretty rigid. Think doctor’s office. Unfortunately, it was kind of cold when we visited so the living room was quite cold because one window was stuck open about 4 inches and we were unable to shut it. Although the heat worked very well in the rest of the home. Disappointed there was quite literally nowhere to curl up and read a good book, which is unfortunate because the view of the water was wonderful. Beds were what you’d expect for a cabin. Not the best, but bearable. Although, you should absolutely bring your own pillows. In summary, come here for the location not comfort.

Great Location- lots of space

Eight of us spent the weekend October 11 for my 50th birthday. It was a perfect space to enjoy friendship and family.

Amazing location!

Wow, what an incredible place to get away! First off the location and property size really can't be beat. Right on the water, large enough for big families and pets (with room to feel like you actually have space!), and perfectly located to get to all of our favorite Door County locations. This was my first VRBO experience and I can say with certainty that it wont be my last. Property managers were also very friendly, flexible, and communicative. Neighbors were very friendly too, and the check in process could not have been any easier. We will definitely be back!

Hiking club vacation

Location was beautiful but some supplies were sparse and internet was poor. Wicker headboards downstairs had nails exposed that scratched us. Beautiful property but needs updates.

Ladies Getaway

There was 5 of us on a visit to Door County. We each were able to have our own rooms, plenty of space to have coffee each morning, watching the sunrise on the screened porch each morning, a bonfire in the evening with a glass of wine. The location is perfect and near several golf courses that members in our party enjoyed. Our complaint was that the house could use a couple of comfortable reading chairs and the internet is a little glitchy. We had a wonderful visit.

Cottage with character...

Had a lovely "Girls Fall Get-A-Way" in Door County staying in this quaint, spacious and clean cottage which is located near many Door County attractions. This rental is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and offers an amazing bay view. The owners were quick to respond to any questions or needs we had for our week long stay. This group of ladies felt that with a few property updates and the addition of a few needed amenities, our stay would have been almost perfect, hence the 4 star overall rating. An update to the showers is badly needed, especially in the upstairs bathroom. Our group would have enjoyed outdoor seating around the firepit area, the 2 stumps provided do not allow for a comfortable evening around a fire - The addition of lawn chairs is needed. Adirondack chairs would be great! The screened-in porch was a very nice space to take in the bay view over morning coffee, however could benefit with needed new furniture - Even giving the current furniture a rehab with new cushions would greatly improve their comfort.

Beautiful Waterfront Cabin

The home was clean and had plenty of room for us. The property is a beautiful waterfront area right near Egg Harbor. The ambiance of the home is “original” in character, meaning the furniture is older, the TV small and not a smart TV, and no extras. There were some things that could of been upgraded or more attentive, such as extra blankets, (it got very chilly one night), small tables in the bathrooms to put your things and better towels in the bathrooms (some were stained and old). The doors did not lock safely - not that we ever worried about it, but for some that might matter. I personally liked the “original” feel of an older cabin style home from Door County early days. Overall the property was fine for our needs. It should also be noted there is no washer and dryer available for use.

Best house location with privacy and a $million dollar view of Door County waterfront!

I have been a frequent guest of this rental house since I was 10 years old with my family and friends over the past 60 years. I need my Door County fix every year and this is the best place to stay, many many happy memories here too!

Lovely view and neighborhood

Wonderful view, great location, nice value. Amazing views of the bay. The property is somewhat dated, but that adds to the charm. Still very comfortable. Internet works best if router is placed in kitchen window. Close to downtown Egg Harbor, beach, restaurants, supermarket.

Location X3!

Great location right on the water with amazing views of Egg Harbor. Fire circle and charcoal grill provide more reasons to hang out by the water. Older house, but very clean with good WiFi and satellite TV. Quiet neighborhood with great places to walk. We hope to be back!

Could use some upgrades but still comfortable.

The bad: It’s a older home maybe built in the 40-50’s. It really could stand some electrical, Wi-Fi and plumbing upgrades. The refrigerator is newer but very small. Now the good: it was clean and most of the furniture and beds were comfortable. The view was outstanding! Very convenient for shopping, groceries and dining. We had golden retrievers staying with us which also helped to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

Fall Family Weekend

Our stay was great overall. The house has a beautiful water view and the proximity to Egg Harbor allowed us to walk to town (1.3 miles). Our only issue was the listing stated one bedroom as having a double + twin and it actually had 2 twins. This left us without a needed bed. Other than that all was good!

Awesome view of the bay

Everything was as advertised. We all had a great time. Close to golf, fishing, shopping, and restaurants. Everything was in working Order and in good shape. Washer and dryer would be a great addition.

I was born and raised in Egg Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin. I attended grade school in Egg Harbor and Gibraltar H.S. in Fish Creek, and I am a UW - Madison graduate. Our family business has been the Alpine Resort and Golf Course in Egg Harbor and we owned this business for 100 years. It has been sold to a new owner in 2021. We continue to rent our eight guest houses in Egg Harbor seasonally. I have two sons and live in Sturgeon Bay. We have a golden retriever that is very active and playful and he loves to swim.

The Shorecrest house has been in our family from the beginning. It's close to all the great things Egg Harbor (and Door County) has to offer. It's only available for vacations in the spring, summer and fall. My family is very protective of this house and keep it very clean and well maintained.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This house is a one of a kind house. It's located in an area of private summer homes with lots of trees and walking trails and it's right ON THE WATER, inside the point that forms Egg Harbor. It's just a short walk to the Egg Harbor beach. You can see the water from the house and it has a nice screened porch and lawn area between the house and the bay.
