L'appartement de ca. 100 mètres carrés, comprend:
• hall d'entrée et couloir (21 m²)
• grande chambre des maîtres (18 m²)

• salle de bain principale (7 m²) avec un grand niveau de douche
• salle de bain / buanderie (3 m²)
• petit balcon sur la cour (4 m²)

L'appartement a été complètement et totalement rénové récemment (travail achevé en mai 2015).
La rénovation a été faite avec soin et attention, avec des matériaux de qualité à des fins d'usage personnel.
Tous les équipements (meubles et accessoires) sont donc tout nouveau.
Le soin et l'attention qui ont été demandé dans l'arrangement, font de l'appartement idéal pour les longs séjours.
Le salon, grâce à un canapé-lit pratique et commode, se transforme rapidement dans la deuxième chambre (avec un placard disponible pour les personnes supplémentaires).
La cuisine, spacieux et lumineux, est idéal pour cuisiner et manger.
La salle de bains principale est équipée d'une grande douche à l'étage (taille 130 x 150 cm).
Les placards sont idéaux pour ranger des sacs, des chaussures, des pardessus et ont beaucoup d'espace libre dans les chambres

Lovely, convenient flat

We stayed in this lovely flat for 2 weeks and were sorry to leave. Roberto and Marta are the best, most attentive hosts imaginable. The space is large, immaculate, quiet, safe, and beautifully decorated. Location is great. Highest recommendation!

Paradise in Bologna

We just had an amazing time in Bologna and all of our good experiences were due to our wonderful hosts. They know Bologna and share everything they know about their city and surrounding area with their guests. Their knowledge and thoughtful gestures to make our stay memorable were appreciated. From making dinner reservations to suggesting quaint neighborhood popups, they enhanced our stay. The weather was hot but we came home to a lovely, aesthetically beautiful apartment to relax and regroup. Marta’s artistic nature- and her daughter’s - is evident in her decorating taste. This is the only place to stay when visiting Bologna.

Fantastic Bologna Apartment!

Roberto is a welcoming and excellent host who provides a good deal of helpful and pertinent information. Roberto’s recommendations (restaurants, attractions, etc.) and maps were amazing. This is a great apartment: 2 bedrooms, 3 baths, great eat-in kitchen, comfy living room, and WiFi. The apartment is immaculate, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and includes many amenities that made our stay extremely enjoyable. Convenient to both the historic center and the train station, in a neighborhood that has all the shops you could need as well as an excellent farmers market each Saturday. We stayed here for a month and it felt like home. We highly recommend this apartment and would return. Bologna as a destination itself, and as a hub for visiting the nearby towns, definitely exceeded expectations!

Apartment with great style, location, and hosts

We opened the door and were immediately struck by the bright, clean contemporary decor. Gleaming marble floors, sleek modern furniture, tasteful artwork and touches of whimsy. The bathrooms and kitchen are supplied with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Hosts Roberto and Marta have thoughtfully anticipated guests’ requirements, from ample towels and extra bedding to coffee, tea, condiments, every type of glassware and cookware, etc. An especially thoughtful touch: Plugged-in power cords for all of our devices (iPhones, tablets) so we didn’t have to juggle our outlet converters. Plus, a drawerful of converters for backup. The apartment was super clean, as if we were the first and only tenants. Special mention to the shower in the main (one of three) bathroom. Best we have ever experienced! Rain head shower is lovely, but the separate, detachable hand shower is the star, with strong pressure providing luxurious, massaging needles of spray. The location is great. We walked all over Bologna, finding most sights, shops, services and restaurants within 10 to 15 minute walk. The Caffe Milano just outside the door has the best cappuccino in the neighborhood. Grocery store PAM is one block away. Aside from being convenient, the location feels safe. There is a bustling city life steps away, yet the apartment is quiet and restful at night. We will note that the building is undergoing exterior renovation, which was noisy in varying degrees during the day, but we were always out the door after breakfast, so that had very little impact on our enjoyment. There were three of us, and the spacious apartment provided ample privacy as well as comfortable gathering spaces. We loved Casa Marta!

Bologna for us is the ideal compromise between the province sleepy and the hectic metropolis.
It's a city that never sleeps, but it takes time for a good meal and a good glass.

Martha’s House is convenient for the centre of Bologna, a fascinating city of UNESCO porticos and art, located in the gastronomic heart of Italy.
It is particularly nice to shop the local markets and cook with local ingredients in the lovely well equipped kitchen.
The location is excellent, being 10 mins walk from the main railway station and about 15 min walk to the main square.
Buses stopped outside the front door and the nearest supermarket was a 5 minutes walk.
