It was nice to have a house such a short walk from a beautiful beach; and there was enough space for us to spread out. Our host was responsive when small repairs were needed during our stay. For light sleepers, another option might work better. We knew that the house was located on a busy road; but there are also currently construction sites on two sides of the property with work starting early. Also, for those sensitive to mosquitoes, it is an older home; mosquitoes find the holes in screens and gaps between doors/windows and their frames. Bug spray from the local grocery store (just a 5-minute walk away) eventually helped get them under control. Altogether, we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing

What a beautiful property and so near the beach and shops. It was an ideal location for exploring the island with the bus stop just outside the property. The villa was very spacious and the gardens were lovely. Would definately recommend this property.

Really smooth booking and excellent communication. The property was exactly as I expected and had everything we needed for the short stay. I was worried about not having a pool but in fact it was fine as the beach is so close by, this beach also ended up being my favourite on the island! Check in and out was very easy.

Very Convienant Location and Plenty of room!

Close to the main road and beaches. We walked almost everywhere from the house. Close to Holetown Beach and the Folkstone Marine Park. The house was huge, plenty of room, just took a little while to get those pesky mosquitoes under control. The host was very communicative and helpful. I recommend the villa if you need/want more room and like us like to walk to the stores and beaches.

Great vacation at Villa Escape!

The villa provided a wonderful first experience for me in the Caribbean. It is situated at quite an ideal location on the island, right across the street from a beautiful beach with jetskiing and snorkelling availible anytime we wanted. Everything you could need (groceries, bank...) is within 5 minutes walking distance. The villa itself is beautiful, the high ceilings were a great surprise, making all the rooms feel so spacious. We had all the fans constantly running for a nice breeze throughout the house, and they were a blessing in the bedrooms at night. It was also nice to have the security of the safes in the bedrooms, as well as the wrought iron on all the exterior doorways, since we left the doors open a good part of the time for the breeze. Georgiana took beautiful care of the house, and had a wealth of helpful information about the area. All in all a wonderful vacation spot, will definitely be going back!

Great Home in Busy Holetown.

This large house is well-situated in the nice town of Holetown. Minutes from the beach, cafes, grocery stores, and restaurants, you can walk everywhere. I suggest to rent a car for the week through the owner's contacts. They are friendly and helpful. We rented a Moke and explored the island easily. Crane Beach is a must! I have only 2 complaints. The first would be the lack of wireless in the house although I went to the Discovery Bay Hotel, Bellairs Research Institute, and the LimeGrove shopping area for the wireless hotspots. The second complaint is that it is a little noisy at night and early morning with the cars and soccer games in the park behind the house. On the other hand, I did enjoy blending in to the way of life there. You are not isolated like in a resort. You are living with the Bajans!

Wonderful stay at Villa Escape!

This property is great, it is in a perfect location, central to beaches, shopping, restaurants, grocery store is walkable, bank is close by, it was perfect for our vacation! Maureen, the housekeeper, took great care of us and was very kind, answered our questions and made us feel at home.The kitchen is well equipped, there is a nice patio area in the yard with a bbq (we did not end up using this but was a nice feature). Beds are fairly comfortable and AC in the bedrooms made it a nice temp for sleeping. We opened the windows and used the fan in the main house for airflow. The bookshelf in the living room has an excellent book selection as well! The beach is a block to the west and we found a couple of beach bars that were perfect for a drink while we watched the sun set. Small downsides, it is next to a busy main road so there is traffic noise but the yard is nicely sheltered and this never bothered us. The bars on the doors and windows were a little disconcerting when we first arrived but we had no issues during our stay and found everyone to be very friendly. There is a small street bar next door and Thursday night is Karaoke so it was loud on that night only. Bring your singing voice and head over for a rum punch! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to others. The owner, Lisa, was quite responsive to questions as well. Thanks so much for everything!

Perfect for family retreat

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our week at Villa Escape. We felt it lived up to its name! Like other reviewers mentioned, it's a prime location with calm beaches, friendly fruit stand, full supermarket, local gift shops, medical clinic, restaurants all within 5-10 min walk. We felt safe but also did lock up with every deadbolt on the property. The home is comfortable and spacious. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms but the island breeze and ceiling fans were adequate for our mornings and evening meals and family games nights. Valerie, the house keeper, was very pleasant and gracious. The only tip I would offer is, if you like to sleep in, you may want to consider packing a sleeping mask and ear plugs. The home's curtains are no match for the strong morning sun and there is no off button for the wild roosters & monkeys running across the roof. All part of the island's charm!

Great Escape!

My family had a wonderful time in Barbados. The Villa Escape was a perfect location and easy walk everywhere. This was our first time to Barbados and we enjoyed exploring the island. The bus stop was right around the corner, grocery store, bank, restaurants were all within walking distance. The house has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Lovely Barbados Home!

I spent a week at Villa Escape with 4 close friends and it was wonderful. Breezy, close to the beach, shopping and great eats...it was very comfortable and roomy. The outdoor patio was really nice to sit, enjoy the breeze and look at the outdoors. Everything nicely maintained and stocked with all of the necessities. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic Villa in Prime Location!!!!

Villa Escape was a perfect villa for our family. Directly in the heart of Holetown where you are steps away from beaches, shopping malls, clubs, restaurants and bars it was also a perfect hideaway once inside the compound. Extremely clean, cozy and safe with an area for everyone in our big family of 7 which included great gardens, backyard for boys to play and two separate patios for reading or sun time. Villa Escape has all the amenities that every guests require with an amazing caretaker Georgina who was extremely helpful to us all. Large, well positioned villa.

We spent two weeks over the xmas and new year at the villa . The villa meet all our needs during the festive stay. Good air conditioned rooms, quick wifi and computer access added to this. The villa was kept clean and tidy by Georgie the housekeeper who was very friendly and helpful. The villa was very close to the beach,Discovery Bay Hotel, and for a bar tab we could use there facilities. There are plenty of very good restaurants within walking distance to suit all price ranges and the quality of the food on the whole was excellent. The bus stop was very close to the villa and we used this on many island excursions. We particularly liked Mullins Bay but all the beaches along this stretch were beautiful. We would recommend this property to friends and family and we hope to return very soon.

Georgiana die HĂ€ushĂ€lterin ist super. Immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat auch immer den ein oder anderen Tip. Einfach Fragen. Barbados Villa Escape for a perfect Caribbean Vaca

Villa Escape in Holetown, Barbados provided the perfect accommodations for my family of five during our recent Christmas holiday on the island. The Villa was clean, spacious and perfectly located. The villa is a short walk to the most beautiful beaches on the island, excellent restaurants and shopping.While centrally located in Holetown with access to all you need, the villa also provided a private sanctuary to unwind and enjoy our holiday. We looked forward to our morning breakfast on the gated terrace and daily visits from green monkeys and hummingbirds. We could even pick our own mangoes from the trees on the property. The highlight of the property is Georgiana, who maintains the property and ensured we came home to a clean villa each day. In addition to ensuring the upkeep of the villa, she brought us fruit and directed us to local food and attractions that were outstanding. I would recommend this villa to anyone traveling to Barbados.

OMG! This place was spacious! The best mangos - There was a large mango tree in the frontyard -we ate fresh mangoes daily, and prepared smoothies. It was the perfect place for our group to stay - We enjoyed our stay immensely. We were close to the beach - A bus ride away to various other pristine beaches, walking distance to restaurants, my favorite "Just Grillin" excellent fish dinners - A most go to eat! Mews is a good breakfast place to eat. You are in walking distance to Limegrove(favorite club locals hang out) fantastic music - Shopping malls, and not far from Westmoreland a beautiful golf course. I will be back! Many thanks to the staff at Villa escape in making our stay enjoyable.

One of the best holidays

The best thing about Villa Escape is its location. Secluded garden in the middle of Holetown. Nobody disturb you but you are still just a walk away from everything. Bus stop around the corner linked us with everything we wanted to see in Barbados. House was clean and had lots of space. Actually in real life it looks better and bigger than on the photos. Since we came from cold winter - our favorite place was definitely the terrace. Barbados is quite expensive but fully equipped kitchen did let us cook our own meals. Villa Escape was an ideal base.

The villa lived up to our expectations. It was in an ideal location, close to the local shops, supermarket, numerous restaurants and close to great beachs. The fact it was close to the main road was not a problem, be cause the local buses stopped outside. So in effect we did not need a car to get around. The villa was a very good size so offered lots of space to relax in. We recieved very good information from the owner before our visit. This was our third visit to Holetown and one of our party as difficulty walking sometimes. But this wasnt a problem because Villa escape was handy for all the local amenities. Another bonus was the maid Georgiana, who was very good and very helpfull. She kept the villa very clean and was always able to answer our questions. The property was very clean and reasonabley maintained. The minor problems where that the fans in the bedrooms did not work, but the owner did warn us of this before our visit. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was a godsend because it was very hot during our stay. Maybe air condioning in the lounges could be something to consider for future developement. The safe in the bedroom did not work but this wasnt a problem as the Villa was very secure. We had a great stay and would certainly recommend it to other people.
