CĂ©ramique entrĂ©e carrelĂ©e et salle de bains, douche Ă  l'italienne et baignoire sur pieds sĂ©parĂ©e au niveau infĂ©rieur. Sortez sous-sol avec accĂšs direct au systĂšme de sentiers. Nouvellement amĂ©nagĂ© avec grande pelouse. Accueil a Ă©tĂ© complĂštement vidĂ©, avec la marque de nouveaux systĂšmes Ă©lectriques, de plomberie et de chauffage installĂ©s. isolation en mousse de pulvĂ©risation a Ă©tĂ© ajoutĂ© Ă  ĂȘtre Ă©conomes en Ă©nergie et Ă©liminer les bruits extĂ©rieurs. Nous avons ajoutĂ© la climatisation centrale, Ă  temps pour les vagues de chaleur estivale. Nous sommes maintenant connectĂ©s Ă  WI FI.

This is our 5th time staying here for a perfect winter weekend. Snowshoeing in back yard. . Hiking on SHT minutes from cabin Xc skiing. Sitting by fire.

The host, Diane was so warm and welcoming and helpful. Sisu house was cozy, adorably Finnish and thoughtfully stocked with everything you would need and more. They even have wood for the firepit. It is an outstanding location - quiet, peaceful, and just off the main Hwy 61. Perfect location for main sites like Gooseberry, Split Rock, Tettegouche, Temperance River. We highly recommend!

Great little cabin, easy to find. Is on a county road but very quiet. Great amenities and close to Hwy 61. Would definitely stay again.

Diane was a great host. She likes to meet you when you arrive to answer any questions and complete a registration form. She has thought of everything you might need including hand mirrors, paper cups in the bathroom, tissue boxes in every room, tea/hot chocolate, every cooking item you can think of, and plenty of clean towels. The house was the perfect size and comfort level for our week’s vacation. It even has a recliner in the living room. The Wi-Fi was high speed, and the TV had Directv service including local channels. The full bath is one floor down from main level, so you need to be comfortable with stairs. It was the perfect location for North Shore attractions and hiking, perfectly centered between Duluth and Grand Portage.

The house is beautifully built and furnished. The only thing that didn’t work for us is that the queen size bed needs replacing. Also it was not the best for us that the bathroom is on the lower level from everything else.

I love this house! The comfy vibe of the house and the location a few miles up the hill from the big lake make it a peaceful location away from the bustle of highway 61. It is quiet up there with a nice kitchen area to sit and play a game at the table or enjoy a conversation across the table or into the open, adjacent living area.

Stayed 2 nights on our way between Voyageurs and Isle Royale National Parks. Place was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and it was a good location to explore the Minnesota coast of Lke Superior up to Grand Portage. We would stay here again.

North Shore Getaway

We very much enjoyed our stay at Sisu house. Diane was very welcoming and had everything we needed. Our kids enjoyed the fire pit and looking through the books about Minnesota while relaxing in the living room. There is so much to do nearby, we explored several state parks. We would definitely stay here again!

My 2 children and I stayed here for 3 nights while we explored the North Shore. The location was perfect for driving up and down the shore. The house was on a beautiful and quiet property. Very neat and clean with a lot of homemade items that have a warm and inviting feeling. Stocked with games, books, info on the north shore. Host was very nice! Would love to stay again.

Sisu house

Very clean and well kept. If you come with babies, consider bringing a gate for the stairway. Bathroom is downstairs, living area is upstairs. Owner was helpful and obviously loves this little house. Would definitely recommend bringing bugspray if you plan on being outside later in day. Will stay here next time we come.

Perfect for a long weekend stay

What a cute and comfortable place to stay. A perfect “home” away from home for sightseeing, hiking and exploring from Jay Cooke State Park up to Grand Portage State Park. Very clean, did some grilling and cooking, but also ate out some. Not so expensive you felt you had to eat there for every meal.Thank you! Hope to be back again sometime.
