Belle grange en pierre dans la campagne magnifique sur Dorset - Somerset frontière.

Courtyard Barn at Lois Farm est parfait pour des vacances en famille ou entre amis. Si vous êtes à la recherche de détente et de tranquillité dans un cadre rural avec vue sur la terre ferme paisible cette belle grange est pour vous. Situé dans la magnifique vallée de Blackmore à la frontière de Somerset et Dorset il y a beaucoup d'endroits bien connus à visiter à proximité pour tous les âges. Nous avons des chevaux et poneys avec bétail et les moutons dans les champs pendant l'été. Nous sommes favorables à la famille avec des équipements pour bébé disponibles à emprunter, des jouets et un jardin clos en toute sécurité. Il y a une grande salle de jeux avec tennis de table et baby-foot. Dans les mois les plus froids allumer le poêle à bois pour des soirées agréables à. La grange a conservé de nombreuses caractéristiques originales.

Lois Farm est situé dans la belle Blackmoor Vale à la frontière de Somerset et Dorset, accessible par un chemin de campagne calme et entouré d'une superbe campagne. Nous sommes à seulement quelques miles au sud de Wincanton et idéalement placés pour visiter les nombreuses attractions bien connues, y compris Glastonbury, Longleat, Wookey Hole, Wells, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Hayes Motor Museum, Sherborne et beaucoup de belles propriétés et jardins du National Trust.

La grange a été récemment entièrement rénové et confortablement 6 (plus des lits) dans trois chambres doubles dont l'un est en bas. Toutes les chambres ont lits zip et lien peuvent donc être mis en place soit comme des rois ou des jumeaux superbes. Nous utilisons uniquement fin coton égyptien pour le linge et fournissons des serviettes et des peignoirs.

La cuisine / salle à manger moderne et bien équipé dispose d'unités de crème de style shaker de luxe des surfaces de travail en granit et un plancher d'ardoise. Il est très bien équipée, y compris un style réfrigérateur / congélateur américain. Les doubles portes ouvrent sur le patio avec vue sur les terres agricoles.

La belle face sud terrasse et jardin donnant sur les champs est idéal pour al fresco repas, se détendre au soleil du soir et regarder le coucher du soleil. En hiver, le poêle à bois rend le salon un lieu chaleureux et confortable pour être, nous fournissons tous les journaux et tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour allumer le feu.

Lovely, clean and well equipped property in great location.

The barn was spotlessly clean, well presented and well equipped, and all set in a lovely quiet rural location, but close to amenities if needed.Our hosts were friendly and available, but not over bearing, and always took the time to say hello and even invited us to look around their farm, which was fantastic as it was lambing season during our stay.The location.is great for exploring Somerset or Dorset, but you would need a car if wanting to get out and about.Would definitely recommend and we would definitely consider a return visit if we were that way again.

Very comfortable, clean accommodation.

Very clean and comfy. Well equipped. The hosts Tanya and Chris were delightful. When weather was poor they took a grocery order for us and drove into town to shop. Who does that? Wonderful stay.

A little piece of heaven.

Everything was absolutely perfect. I cannot fault anything at all. Our hosts, Tanya and Chris were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent central location for many tourist attractions within an hour away. The cottage was bright and beautifully decorated. Very peaceful with good walking to. We would definately go back and recommend it. Nice dark skies if you like looking at the stars. The horses were an added treat.

Charming, cozy and character abound

This is truly a gem of a property. This is a great place to explore the English countryside from. Communication was impeccable. The description and pictures were spot on. The place is easily found on Google maps and while it should be obvious, you'll need your own transportation. You're away from it all while being right in the middle as well. Meeting the farm animals was the cherry on the top. I hope we can find our way back to the countryside and if we did, we'd return here in a heartbeat.

5 Star***** Four Adults, Three Nights Stay, to return again one day.

We decided to have a long weekend away Friday to Monday. Wanted no more than a couple of hours drive from home, a barn conversion, wood burner, peace and quiet, and somewhere scenic. Found Courtyard Barn, it has the aforementioned, and more. The drive was pretty, and straightforward, the barn has the scenery, and is so very peaceful. Set within Lois Farm. It has privacy and lovely views at the back of the property over fields and open skies. On arrival, Tanya greeted us and kindly gave us a tour. It felt so homely, super clean, light & bright, fresh flowers were a nice touch, beautifully furnished with three spacious bedrooms two bathrooms. Our trip was to give my folks a change of scenery, and to celebrate mums 75th birthday. I enjoyed the kitchen/diner as a room, super views and sunsets, preparing & cooking supper with every kitchen utensil and gadget to hand. The radio was most welcome too, Thank you. Being here in January, we made good use of the wood burning stove and it was easy to get going and kept our toes toastie. I had not realised until leaving on the Monday, how relaxed I felt. Personally I had slept so soundly, the beds just perfect in size, the quality bed linen, and the peaceful location. The owners Tanya and Chris have made this home from home, they are friendly, helpful and thoughtful. We drove away feeling somewhat sad, as we all said that we could have stayed longer and that we would like to return, perhaps in the warmer weather. It is worthy of its 5 stars and it has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. The four of us had a very enjoyable and most memorable stay.

Heel vriendelijk ontvangen, zeer proper verblijf die top is uitgerust. Rustige omgeving. Vanuit de tuin heb je zicht op de wei met schapen. Het verblijf is maar een paar minuten verwijderd van het dorp met winkels en supermarkten. Je bent onmiddellijk op de autostrade voor tripjes in de omgeving.

Wonderful Holiday in a very beautiful area

Heerlijke vakantiewoning: ruim, gezellig ingericht, werkelijk ALLES is aanwezig! Prachtige tuin en uitzicht. Tanya en Chris zijn erg aardige beheerders: je kon hen alles vragen en waren erg attent met kleine dingen: een welkomstpakketje, tomaatjes uit eigen kas, extra handdoekenwissel, enz. Loïs Barn ligt wel wat afgelegen maar binnen 5-10 minuten ben je in Wincanton met o.a. de Lidl en Morrison's. In de (wijde) omgeving is veel te zien en te beleven, b.v. de cathedralen van Wells en Salisbury, de prachtige landgoederen Sherborne Castel en Stourhead, de zuidkust (met o.a. Lulworth Cove en Durdle Door), Bath, Shaftesbury met Golden Hill, Cheddar Gorge, enz. Heerlijke vakantie gehad: echt een aanrader als je van historie en het prachtige landschap van Engeland houdt

Beautiful cottage

Courtyard Barn is a lovely place to stay. It has everything you could need, is very comfortable and beautifully clean. Fresh flowers and a welcome pack are an added bonus. The outside space is peaceful and private. The local pub serves good food. Overall, what could be better!

Bright, clean and welcoming farmhouse cottage. Spacious, airy and very well equipped. High quality furniture and finishings.. Delightful setting and outdoor courtyard. Friendly, accommodating owner.

Great place to relax and unwind

The cottage is in a very quiet location backing onto fields with its own private garden. Everything inside was immaculately clean and tidy, no sticky glasses or cutlery! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had great weather and the barn really did look as good as it does in the photos. Handy for the stunning Stourhead National Trust property. Overall it was a great place to spend a relaxing weekend.
