Relaxing stay in lovely house

We spent a very relaxing week in this lovely house situated adjacent to farmland just outside Vernantes. The private immaculately clean pool was a joy to use on warmer days and we were very happy with how well equipped the house was.

Super house, great location.

This is an ideal base from which to explore the Loire Valley however just lazing around the house and pool is what we enjoyed the most. Can't fault anything about the house at all. I thought the pool cover would be a drag to remove and replace but it was actually no bother. We'd like to go back sometime soon and see more of the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

Simply Stunning

What a fantastic holiday home. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly want and delivered it in spades. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble. The house is close to a beautiful part of France that we have visited before (Saumur) and the location has lots of happy memories for us. It is a brilliant base for exploring what the region has to offer, but it also offers space and amenities that allow for rest and relaxation. We couldn’t recommend this holiday home enough - it truly is a home from home! Thank you Colin & Carol. We’d love to come back in the future.

Great stay

We had a great time in Carol and Colin's house! We were three families with kids under 6 years old. There are so many things to enjoy in the house that we barely moved during our week. We appreciated how everything was done to make our stay pleasant, from the many information provided beforehand and the availability of the hosts (via text messages), to the way the house is provided so that almost all we had to worry about was enjoying our time there.

Perfect for a family get together

Lovely big garden to play and relax in. Pool was spotless and a welcome relief from the heat. We used the outdoor seating area for every meal and the BBQ was great. Plenty of toys and inflatables - table-tennis - table football etc. Something for every age. We had 3 under twos with us and especially appreciated the effort the owners made to provide cots, stair gates and a high chair. The boulangerie in the village was walking distance and a supermarket 5minutes drive away. Biked there once or twice for a couple of things with the bikes provided - a welcome extra!!

Wonderful well-equipped gite

We were lucky enough to spend 2 gorgeous weeks at this gite. It's spacious, homey without being cluttered with lovely views over the fields from the upstairs bedroom. The garden is private and was much bigger than we expected - perfect for a game of cricket! The pool is a nice size and there is a great supply of inflatables and floats. We have never spent so long in a swimming pool! The kitchen has everything you could ever need - by far the best we have rented. It's location is ideal for access to Saumur which is beautiful as well as being a gateway to so much more of the Loire. On a practical note the beds are really comfy and there is loads of hot water with the upstairs shower being really powerful. We highly recommend it for so many reasons. The owners were really helpful and responsive. They also provided so much useful information which led to trips we never would have found or thought of ourselves. They really added to our trip.

Very comfortable and well equipped house in perfect location to explore the beautiful Loire valley.

This is one of the most carefully thought out and well equipped houses we have ever rented. The owners thought of everything and could not have been more helpful. The nearby village has everything that you need, within a five minute drive or short bike ride. The area beyond is wonderful, with stunning scenery, great food at reasonable prices and plenty to do on rainy days as well as sunny ones! The house is really well located and easy to find! Highly recommended!
