Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It’s always fascinating how two people can experience the same stay so differently! Since this is a self-catering apartment, we really went above and beyond what’s typically expected. We spent more time with you than we do with most guests, helping reschedule your activities to fit the unpredictable weather, installing all the necessary apps on your phone, and giving detailed instructions on how to use them. Despite clear written instructions and several in-person visits, you seemed to have trouble with nearly every appliance—making you, I must admit, the first guests to achieve this distinction! On your arrival, our staff spent over an hour explaining everything, including how to navigate public transport, and even going over the nutritional value of your groceries. Every day, despite our request to communicate via messages or phone (so we could balance work and family life), you showed up at our door—sometimes even waking us up—to reconfirm things we had already explained, like your daily plans. Regarding the incident you mentioned: Our son was visiting from boarding school, and just as we were rushing him to the bus stop, your friend knocked. I asked if it could wait 10 minutes, but she was insistent. My husband, who didn’t yell, simply said we would attend to it when we got back. Unfortunately, she didn’t take this well. Later, we appreciated your apology and the acknowledgment that your friend can be a bit pushy. We do our best to accommodate our guests’ needs, but perhaps a guided tour, where everything is arranged for you, would suit you better in the future. Self-catering stays require a bit more independence and self-sufficiency, and we provided all the necessary tools for a smooth stay. Wishing you all the best in your future travels!
