Manoir de style anglais construit en 1939 par le riche et vieux propriétaire Sir. Robert Pretty Barlow, admirateur de la beauté et du bien vivre. Précurseur de la culture gay moderne, il a accueilli des écrivains, des peintres et des voyageurs illustres. Lui-même voyageur, il a aidé à faire connaître Taormina à beaucoup de ses compatriotes et à d’autres.
L'appartement est situé au premier étage de la maison dans une position très centrale et panoramique, donnant sur l'Etna, la baie de Giardini Naxos et la Badia Vecchia, l'un des monuments les plus importants de la ville.

Furio and Paola are the very best hosts! The house is situated in easy walking distance to the Corso Umberto and restaurants. The Hotel Continental across the street has rooftop breakfast and bar. Paola helped make dinner reservations and gave so many good suggestions. I highly recommend staying with these hosts! Five Stars.

Everything about our stay was five star.Furio and Paola did everything to make the stay wonderful. Arranged for Parking, allowed us to check in in the morning. Called in dinner reservations as well as arrange a private tour. Highly recommend this apartment for cleanliness and location. A little noisy in the morning but nothing crazy.

Badia Vecchia was everything we wanted and expected...even more! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Location provided an easy walk to the center for everything you might need. The daily view from the VRBO of Mt Etna and the Mediterranean was beautiful. Our hosts, Paola and Furio were wonderful. They made our time in Taormina and many other east coast cities and towns, priceless!

This stay was even more than we could have hoped for. The hosts were excellent communicators, both before our stay and during. They helped us coordinate parking (think valet service - and they were quick!). They met us upon arrival to walk us through the apartment, provide restaurant recommendations, and even made restaurant/attraction calls on our behalf. They really went over and beyond! The apartment is super comfortable; they even provided us with water and espresso pods. The location was a short walk to restaurants and shops, but in a quiet neighborhood. This is a WOW stay.

Amazing views and location!

Our hosts were terrific! They suggested several places to eat and all were great. The location is superb for visiting Taormina - a three minute walk to main area. Wonderful stay!

Beautiful apartment

Apartment was in a perfect location to see Taormina and had spectacular views from every bedroom and terrace. The hosts were fantastic, accommodating welcoming and so helpful in picking restaurants and even made reservations for us. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely amazing stay in Taormina!! Furio and his wife made checking in and finding parking for our car completely seamless. The apartment was in a perfect location to access all of the sights in Taormina and was well equipped, including water and a mocha pot for coffee. The host also recommended great food stops in the city and even helped us get a reservation last minute after check in. Would highly recommend!!
