À Chahayis, vous trouverez votre refuge dans notre maison d'architecture conçue à 16 pas de la plage de Chesterman, la première plage du Canada, en Colombie-Britannique, au nord-ouest sauvage du Pacifique sauvage. 2 miles de vaste propriété en bord de mer vous permet de vous détendre et de vous promener pendant des heures le long du sable. En entrant dans Chahayis, vous serez immédiatement impressionné par la structure du poteau et de la poutre, alors qu'un cèdre massif se tient devant vous, soutenant le plafond voûté de l'entrée. Nous avons 3 chambres, chacune avec un lit à plateau-coussin queen. Deux de ces chambres ont également des sièges de fenêtre entourés de verre sur 3 côtés qui vous permettent de voir les étoiles la nuit et de vous réveiller avec les oiseaux dans les arbres le matin. Chahayis dispose d'une cuisine gastronomique entièrement équipée, à aire ouverte. Du verre du sol au plafond dans la salle à manger et le salon, rappelant constamment à vos sens le fait que vous avez des sièges face à l'océan à l'océan Pacifique. Chez Chahayis, le confort est n ° 1, nous proposons donc des sols de salle de bains chauffés avec une baignoire jacuzzi profonde et carrelée. Un poêle à bois hermétique et des planchers en merisier rehaussent les murs environnants de larges planches de cèdre à bord et de poutres massives en sapin de Douglas. Nous avons une guitare, un clavier électrique, des livres, des puzzles et des jeux de société pour impliquer tout le monde dans leurs propres loisirs. Ou allongez-vous simplement et endormez-vous au son de l'océan et profitez d'un repos bien mérité. Si vous êtes un passionné de sports nautiques, ou si vous voulez simplement essayer le surf ou le boogie board, vous apprécierez les douches extérieures chauffées. Communication was excellent with the host. The house was an amazing location right on Chesterman beach! Waking up to the oceanview every morning was such a dream, truly a surfer's paradise. If you have a clear night you must go out and see the stars, they are unreal here! We will certainly be back!

Just Perfect

Thank you so much for a great place to enjoy our time on the west coast! We loved the wood burning fireplace, the beach right outside the door and everything needed to stay comfortable for the long weekend. Miss it already!

Catching up with old friends

we had never been to Tofino and decided to book a house with another couple whom we hadn't seen for awhile. this house was perfect - on the beach, wood fire place, and lots of space. We cooked our own meals, played games, enjoyed the selection of CD's and caught up. Lots of beach walking and sightseeing.

Beautiful Place

We had a wonderful time. The House was everything they said it would be. We enjoyed the wood stove especially and the incredible view. The house had everything we needed and it was a joy to stay there. January was the perfect time to witness their storm season. The care takers were friendly and helpful. We want to book for next year again. Thank you so much

Hi Kathryn, Thank you for the review. Yes Tofino is the ultimate destiantion, rain or shine. Our house is so cozy to sit in with a fier in the woodstove and a storm raging outside on the ocean. Having Keegan as our caretaker has been a godsend. He really enjoys helping out our guests, and is passionate about Tofino, water sports, restaurants, and of course his sauna. Just give us a call or email when you want to stay next year., but don;t leave it to late, the spring and summer are booking up quickly. Saint

Memorable Birthday

Our party of 5 celebrated a memorable birthday week at this very accommodating beach house. Perfect location well appointed kitchen ideal for 5 "foodies "who love to cook and gather around the kitchen. It was the first time to Tofino for our friends from Ottawa who were enthralled as we were by the beachfront and the ocean. The main house was ideal for the easy relaxed visit we had hoped for. Looking forward to making this an annual event.

Fabulous Location for Storm Watching

Thanks St. Claire for the use of your house right on the Beach. It truly is a fabulous location. Weather changes so quickly. We had sun, torrential rains and hurricane winds causing the power to go out all in 4 nights. But always had a beautiful house to come home to. Would suggest some large address numbers right off the roadway would help maybe that glowed from the street light but other than that perfect.

classic tuff beach getaway

Really truly ON the beach. Luxurious place with quaint wooden interior design. Roomy, artful, home-like (not sterile/ikea-styled; deep family getaway vibes); particularly enjoyable chef's kitchen, and master bathroom jacuzzi and heated tile floors. The master bedroom has a private balcony over the beach, and other bedrooms looked full of windows and light. Great outdoor facilities such as benches and chairs for taking coffee or drinks outside, and foot and body showers for rinsing sand off before cozying up again inside... Stereo, woodstove, dining area all great. Only con we found was a lack of window screens to keep out mosquitoes (just one screen installed) but we just hung cloth over the bedroom balcony door so we could fall asleep to the music of the sea. :) All good.

Saint was very commutative and excellent host. The location is right on the beach with a dreamy view. Equipment is A+ with really good music system and a cozy fireplace. We had the best stay with the best service. Will definitely book and stay there again. Highly recommended!!

The Story of Chahayis.
Janet and Saint, visited this piece of paradise as early teenagers. When they got married with kids they decided it was a good idea to expose their kids to the invigorating environment of Clayoquot. After staying in a couple of B&B's they decided to buy some dirt. Chahayis was Born! First they camped, then pulled up a travel trailer, then they started to build. Saint spent a summer working as a seaplane pilot in Tofino, while he supervised the construction, ensuring Chahayis and the home he was building reflected the westcoast environment. Although their 3 sons have now grown into their 20's and 30's, they all spend as much time as they can revitalizing themselves on at Chahayis. You may experience for yourself the reluctance of having to leave this spiritual spot, that Janet and Saint hope one day to retire to.

Chahayis, is unique in that its architectural features reflect so soundly the Clayouqout environment. It is situated on the south part of Chesteman Beach, which offers a benign environment to the beginner surfer, or boogie boarder. We are in close proximity to the rocky head lands of Rosie Bay which afford you of hours of exploring the tidal pools, caves, blow wholes, and tunnels to Cox Bay. Or you can venture for a 40 minute stoll along the beach to the world renown Relais Chateaux Wickinninnish Beach resort for a cocktail or a steam and a massage in their Cedar Spa. Our home on the property can accommodate various group sizes, from a romantic couple, small family, or a large family reunion.
