    The house was pretty much perfect! Great location, so, so peaceful (yes, there's a road right in front, but it's not the main one). Chance to see some excellent wildlife, we saw porpoises, otters, herons, various finches, house martins and so on. Great location for walks, can set off from the house and go up The Cobbler (pretty challenging), can also walk over to Tarbet on Loch Lomond for boat trips. Stunning driving roads over to Inverary and Benmore Botanic Gardens, both great days out. The house was spotlessly clean, the kitchen one of the best equipped I've seen in a holiday rental, great outdoor seating spaces to relax with stunning views, lovely bathrooms and some really nice small touches that make all the difference, such as the T V being logged into the owner's Netflix account and some milk in the fridge. I think the only thing we couldn't find were pegs to hang out out clothes from a soggy day (of course, it's summer in Scotland so there's rain!!). Not much doing in Arrochar, but that's fine for us, pub just a short walk away, what more could you want?!

    Beautifull view

    We had a lovely time, walking in the neighbourhood, drinking and dining in the village inn, cooking in a wel equiped kitchen and enjoying the view, so many birds!

    Amazing Views and Comfortable Cottage

    We had a lovely week long stay. The location is ideal to explore Loch Lomand and the west coast. Great pub a few steps away, as well as a village shop. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with everything you could need. And the views are beautiful.

    Great location and lovely views

    We spent four restful nights at the cottage. The location is great for local walks and the outlook is spectacular. With a car you have so many options for walks, cruises, castles, and scenic drives. There are lots of birds and the cottage has absolutely everything you need and more.

    Lovely hosts who make you feel really welcome. The house, well what can we say, really tastefully decorated and the facilities are top mark. The views however are the stand out point, simply beautiful. Highly recommend

    Amazing Views

    A very lovely, clean and well equipped cottage . So warm and cosy and wonderful to return to after a day out exploring. Hosts were brilliant regarding communication, so helpful and very friendly . Would definitely return !

    A great property with a excellent view. My wife and I stayed in the front bedroom and we never shut the curtains.Many kitchen staples like foil/cling film, and tea coffee left in kitchen.

    Beautiful view

    The place is really nice! Well equipped kitchen and everything was very clean. The main bedroom has a beautiful view over the Loch and of the mountains. The road out front is quiet, much more so than on the opposite side of the lake. There is a nice pub nearby but better for a beer than for dining.

    Lochside Cottage

    Clean and cozy cottage with amazing views of Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. Jim & Kay were very responsive on any questions and were great to work with. Many sites are within 2-2.5 hours of the cottage making it a great home base!

    Loch Long Christmas

    This is one of the nicest holiday rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Such a well maintained, thoughtfully equipped, cosy and comfy house. We were there over Christmas and so cooked a huge amount - very well equipped for cooking, right down to actual sharp knives!!

    Even better than expected

    The cottage is perfect and more than lived up to our expectations. Stunning views, we were lucky to have great weather which enhanced the scenery. Local Village Inn and Ben's Bothy great if you want to eat and drink local. Lots to do in the surrounding area. The walk to the cobbler well worth a go. One of the best holidays we have had.

    Beautiful retreat in Arrochar

    We loved Kay and Jim's beauful house and particularly the lovely outside seating area looking out across Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. We were fortuate to have uncharacteristically spectacular weather for Argyll and got out and about to many beautiful gardens, woodlands, lochs and towns. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with everything we needed. Many thanks
