Charming cottage, set on beautiful, quiet gardens. The pool cabanas were a god send during the passing showers. Cat is a gracious host. Communication (via WhatsApp) was easy. Location is ideal for a relaxing holiday. Saline feels like the "quite" side of the island, but still walking distance to a couple of the best restaurants on the island (The risotto at La Tamarin was our best meal). Would love to stay here again.

Beautiful Villa

Cat's villa is exactly what we were looking for - close to Saline beach and away from the busy crowds. We enjoyed waking up early morning to make coffee in the outdoor kitchen and taking a walk along the beach. Joelle was an amazing host, assisting us with everything we needed but giving us privacy to enjoy the space. We left with fond memories and would love to return again!

Hidden gem

We absolutely loved our stay at this hidden gem of a cottage!!! Loved that it was close to Saline, one of our favorite beaches on the island. Had everything we needed & the gorgeous little outdoor kitchen exceeded expectations. The pool was beautiful as well. Will definitely be back again! ❤️

Great little Villa for two

This is a great little villa for two. Cat is an awesome host, met us at our scheduled time and escorted around the property. The pool is private and is shared by one other villa. The kitchen is a beautiful and well stocked, a very short walk up a few stairs. It is great for morning coffee and breakfast, served us well for afternoon happy hour and we did cook in one night. The location is very central to all of St. Barths, easy to Gustavia and St Jean. Looking forward to going back and staying with Cat. Thanks for the lovely time.

Fantastic place! Highly recommend

This place was perfect for us. We loved the cottage, the cabana kitchen, the pool and the area. Plage Saline is 4 minutes away and it’s the best beach on the island. We were there mid-May and there was literally no more than 5 people on that huge beach with us. The area is more rural and super quiet. Did I mention that two of the BEST restaurants (L’Espirit and Grain de Sel) on the island are 2-3 min away? The host is wonderful, giving you plenty of privacy while there. It is 7 minute drive to Gustavia. We really did feel like we found the best possible spot on the island.

Fantastic Stay ...

Off season (late May) so a few off seasonal staples in the area - construction etc. Otherwise our stay was perfect. Kitchen is a great add and really well equipped it had a breeze every morning and evening - not too much - just right. There are a lot of small touches on this property that made us want to return. Linens were a highlight. Plus two (plus one visiting) cats. Plus our host Cat (so that's 4) :) Close to everything, easy drive to Gustavia, St Jean, of course Saline. Great food store nearby - 5 min drive. Really a perfect place to enjoy St Barts without having every meal out - and the cost of a hotel. Save those for a day on a sailboat, a massage at the Eden Rock, lunch at the Pearl Hotel, the Christopher - and dinner at Tamarin. Have the pate!

A truly terrific getaway

My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed our two weeks here. The accommodations were first class: well built, stylish, top notch hardware, excellent reading lamps on the headboard, functional window curtains, very nice bedding. AT first it was different to have the kitchen outside of the unit, but it turns out to work nicely: airy, a perch over the property, fully equipped and fully functional for food prep and dining on the kitchen stools. The property is quiet and offers a surprising amount of privacy. The pool is just a short walk up the driveway but it's an oasis worth visiting every day. We loved being so close to Tamarin restaurant, a beautiful jungle setting, because we didn't have to drive anywhere for excellent food and cocktails; it was literally out the back gate. The owner Kat is polite, professional, and fun to chat with, there for you but not intrusive in any way. She was happy to drive us to the car rental office upon our arrival, being absolutely convincing and right about the need for a car to get around (no car would be a big mistake). Also, have to mention the charm of the tortoises making occasional appearances on the property, reminding us that there is no need to hurry for anything. Thank you, Kat!

Séjour de 3 semaines. Accueil très chaleureux de Cat, nous avons été très agréablement surpris par la beauté de la propriété. Le chalet et très bien équipe,très propre le tout meuble avec beaucoup de goût. Un petit paradis au calme ,avec sa piscine privative,un rapport qualité prix exceptionnel pour st barth . Nous recommandons vivement cette location . Merci beaucoup a Cat pour ses trois semaines de super vacances

Unique and comfortable place to stay

Overall the cottage with two rooms, a bedroom and bathroom, was very clean and comfortable. The separate kitchen, located ten steps up an incline above the cottage was well equipped with a two burner stove, microwave, undercounter fridge, coffee maker, toaster and all the necessary accessories. We found the steps going up to the kitchen were a little tricky, especially at night, since there are no handrails and in our opinion additional lighting is needed. The shared pool, a short walk up a driveway from the cottage, was very clean and private with two nice cabanas. The property was very private and secure with an electric entrance gate requiring a code to enter the property. It was also conveniently located to one of our favorite beaches, Saline, and a great restaurant named Tamarin. Cat, the owner, lives on the property and was very responsive when we contacted her. We did not interact that much since it appeared she was respecting our privacy. All in all it was a very comfortable and unique stay.

Both the property and its hostess are very charming. The room is very comfortable and there’s lots of room to roam about in the garden and the pool. The property is away from all the noise downtown but only minutes away in car from the best shopping, restaurants, and all the other beaches. Saline beach is just steps away. All in all its the perfect place to stay in beautiful St. Barths!

Perfect time at Salines

Cat's place at Salines is charming, original, extremely comfortable and very relaxing. The room was clean and fresh; the bathroom great; the outdoor kitchen very practical and a pleasure to use; the pool the perfect way to end the day after returning from the beach. Everything was easy and Cat seemed to put a lot of care into making sure we were ok. This place is great. I would definitely come back and I throroughly recommend.

Peaceful stay

Really enjoyed the bungalow, pool and kitchen. Felt very peaceful and private. Pool felt very private but sometimes noise traveled from tamarin. The dvds and tv stations all in French. Loved the plants and wandering turtles!

Great room and host. Very comfortable and exactly what you need. We enjoy getting out and exploring the island, and this was a great cottage to come back to with a kitchen where we could prepare lunch for the next day and enjoy ourselves. Cat was extremely helpful and easy to work with.

Feel like you are in your own private Oasis

We had a wonderful first experience visiting St. Bart's by staying at Cat's cottage in Saline. The property is gorgeous, and Cat's gracious hospitality makes you instantly feel welcome and at home. You will also likely get a visit from her very friendly cat! There are also other island wildlife to enjoy, we especially enjoyed watching the hummingbirds visit the flowers on the property.The cottage is well appointed, bed comfortable, great shower and it is air conditioned comfortably, and the outdoor kitchen that comes with this cottage has everything you need to make simple meals. We loved having the spacious mini fridge (with small freezer compartment to keep a few ice cream treats), the Nespresso and 2-pot burner. The pool is very private, and only shared with the other cottage. The two cottages also share the property with Cat's house, but nonetheless you very much have your own space. The restaurant on the property, Tamarin, was fabulous... the best atmosphere and delicious food, and unmatched service. Saline beach was one of our favorites and was only a 2 min drive from the cottage. It doesn't take long to explore the rest of the island from this location, either. Make sure you bring bug spray (and itch cream for after if you are sensitive to bites - I am super sensitive, whereas my husband isn't bothered at all)... mosquitos are definitely around. Thanks Cat for a wonderful stay, we wouldn't hesitate to visit with you again!

Great Stay at Saline

We recently stayed in the Cat's cottage at Saline and it was wonderful. The cottage was perfect for our romantic vacation, with a great location and very private. Cat was great to work with and made sure our stay was fantastic. Definitely recommend this cottage for your stay on St. Barth's. Having the kitchen unit was great for being able to make breakfast or the occasional dinner. Also, it was fun to be able to relax at the pool when we needed a break or change from the beach.

The property was very comfortable and well equipped and convenient to beach and town.

This was a perfect place to stay in St Bart's. Secluded and at the same time convenient to wonderful beaches, and great restaurants. The cottage is completely modern with the feel of a warm boutique hotel. Cat provides the perfect base for a ''St Bart's experience.' Wish we were able to stay longer and look forward to returning.
