Beautiful Oasis

Quiet and private property away from the hustle and bustle but walking distance to one of the great beaches on St. Barts. Great garden setting with parking and wonderful pool.

Cat's property is splendid and the bungalow is Bali chic and couldn't have been more relaxing. Saline is off the beaten path but a quick drive to almost all areas of St. Barths. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and we are already planning our return

Tropical paradise

The Robinson tiny house was really well thought by Cat and perfect for welcoming guests for a short stay on the island. Even there was no kitchen per se, there was everything to be able to drink and to eat small foods with plates, glasses, silverware, bowls, cups, microwave, tiny fridge, teapot, expresso machine and regular coffee machine.

Wonderful tropical bungalow

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Cats bungalow on her very private, quiet but well located enclosed property near Saline beach. The tropical setting and thoughtfully and very attractively furnished room made for a wonderful retreat after exploring and enjoying beautiful St Bart. I loved the sounds of the night which the seclusion of the property made lushly audible. My favorite beach and the city of Gustavia are only a very short but beautiful drive over a ridge offering wonderful views. Cat is also very gracious and helpful. I highly recommend the property

Magical

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Cat’s property. She is a warm and gracious host that made us feel welcome and at ease. This is not obvious when travelling as a gay couple. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to return to this fabulous cottage in a magical garden. The location is amongst one of the best on the island.

Peaceful Saline stay, with some caveats

Can't beat the location! It's less than 2 minutes by car from Saline Beach, and some great restaurants right there, including a back entrance to Tamarind. Easy access to roads to Lorient and St. Jean (4 minutes to either) or Gustavia (7 minutes). We stayed in the room with the bathroom outside, and it's fine, the bathroom is really nice! Mildly annoying if you need to use it in the middle of the night but that didn't bother us. Only downside is that the A/C barely works - you're going to sweat inside at 3pm, but be ice cold at night. Upside, the private pool is a haven in the afternoon. There's only one other rental here and we never saw the guest. The larger room has a separate outdoor kitchen, which looked nice. The mini fridge can't keep up in the heat, we had to rely on the provided cooler with ice from Lorient. Not a deal breaker, just be prepared for that. The best part is that the owner Cat is extremely flexible, she let us check in early and because there was nobody renting our space after us, she let us stay until our 5pm flight. That was amazing, thanks Cat!

Rustic and Fun

My wife and I stayed here for 6 days. I loved this property because it is off the beaten path, but still centrally located so that all the hot spots on St Barths are within a few minutes’ drive. When you want to get out of the busy Gustavia or St-Jean, you drive over the hill to a world of rugged, and rustic natural beauty. The quarters are small, fun, and funky, reminiscent of a summer camp cabin. It is air conditioned and has some basic kitchen accouterments such as microwave, toaster, coffee maker and tiny fridge. The unattached bathroom is part of the rental. Being separate from the cabin will be a negative to some, but I felt that it added to the rustic charm of the place! The swimming pool is shared with another cabin, but we were alone on the day we used it. Saline Beach is described as being “steps away.” Maybe if you are a hiker or a runner, but not for us! We preferred driving to Gouverneur Beach which is also not far away! The owner, Cat, was the consummate hostess, showing us superb hospitality and flexibility when we texted her about a delayed arrival. She met us in the dark of night after an arduous journey and immediately made us feel at home. We interacted with her a few other times and she introduced us to her pet Macaw, “Cookie.” As animal lovers, this was a real treat for us! If you decide that this is your place, consider cocktails or dinner at Le Tamarin, right outside Cat’s back gate. It is not inexpensive, but breathtaking in its beauty

Luxe, calme, volupté et Robinson Crusoé

Quel calme, baignĂ© dans la verdure, entourĂ© d’animaux mais pas de moustiques (traitĂ© hebdomadairement) Ă  deux minutes d’une plage calme, entourĂ©e de collines qui viennent mourir dans la mer, 3 bons restaurants (de tous styles €-€€€). Et notre hĂŽte ? Ahhh Cat, parfaite. PrĂ©sente mais pas envahissante, Ă  l’écoute, drĂŽle et toujours une histoire ou une anecdote Ă  raconter. La cabane est trĂšs propre (comme tout le reste d’ailleurs, parc, piscine
), le mobilier balinais
 sublime et tellement bien intĂ©grĂ©. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut mais sans fioritures. Vraiment une belle pĂ©pite dans une partie calme de l’üle oĂč nous avons dĂ©jĂ  prĂ©vus de revenir l’annĂ©e prochaine !

Romantic Refuge in St. Barth

Our antique Balinese cabin was so charming and private. For those that appreciate a more natural setting than a hotel could provide, it is a great value and very close to Saline Beach, which along with Colombier Beach our favorite on the island.

Peaceful, close to good beach

It's a small cottage with basic kitchen equipment that can save you money. You do need a car to get there and to groceries, the beach, and other sites on the island. Taxis are expensive. There is no indoor plumbing, but the bathroom is just a few steps away. The reading light by the bed was particularly good.

Private Cabin Near Saline

Neat place to stay. Landscaping was beautiful. Small pool was very private and inviting. Separate bath house was also a wonderful twist. Cat was very helpful in getting us to the villa after our flight was late and we missed getting our rental car that night. A wonderful visit !!

A real find!

Delightful, quiet, and beautiful space

We had a fantastic time at Cat's estate. Beautiful, quiet, and conveniently located space. Cleaning service and quality of linens were much appreciated. Cat is a breeze to communicate with and has lived on the island for decades and was resourceful too. Just be sure to ask which cottage has the kitchen and which was does not, if you want to cook. We were fine with the small fridge, coffeemaker, toaster, and tea pot. Fantastic stay!!
