Un joli chalet situé dans notre ferme, dans le village de Lefkogia, entouré d'un paysage montagneux spectaculaire ainsi que de plages incroyables, les unes après les autres formant la magnifique ligne de manteau du sud de la Crète! Trois d'entre eux à 1 km de distance, et ça continue encore et encore! Une chose est sûre... Vous ne vous ennuierez pas, car chaque jour à la ferme est différent! Cottage Lefkogia, une maison de deux étages, avec un agréable salon, une cuisine entièrement équipée et une salle de bain au rez-de-chaussée. Deux chambres spacieuses à l'étage supérieur. Confortable, fonctionnel et ensoleillé, comme le soleil le caresse toute la journée! Avec accès non seulement à une terrasse spacieuse, mais aussi à la ferme Lefkogia qui s'étend sur 5 hectares. Un endroit idéal pour les familles, les amoureux de la nature et les personnes qui recherchent les expériences authentiques de leurs voyages.
Savourez votre petit déjeuner sur la terrasse en écoutant les oiseaux chanter leur "to do list" de chaque jour! Commencez vos journées en saluant toutes sortes d'animaux, tels que cochons, chèvres, poules, oies, dindes, chiens, chats, chevaux! Rejoignez-nous dans notre routine quotidienne tout en les nourrissant et en les nettoyant si vous le souhaitez! Fantastic accommodation, amazing host, definitely to come back very soon!

Our family came to Lefkogia, Crete, Greece for a traditional Greek wedding of our dearest friends from New York, professor Pavlos Kollias and Katia Lamer, in August 2018, and we privileged to have a truly fantastic accommodation. The host Betty was absolutely amazing, the lovely house and happy farm were very welcoming and clean. We had the best holidays ever surrounded by gorgeous beaches, deep blue sea, mouthwatering restaurants, breathtaking sightseeings, indeed everything, our big family could have ever imagined and beyond. We will be back to stay in Lefkogia farm next year, also for a wedding reunion. Just day dreaming of our wonderful day. Much love and respect to Greece!

A great and special place with wonderful people!

Together with my wife and two daughters of 2 and 6 years old we are always on a quest to find a special place for our holiday. We want to avoid the mass tourism, and are looking for a place that is a part of the environment we go to. As we have two young children we also have high demand towards to accommodation as we want a decent, safe and clean place with all the facilities we have at home. When we booked our stay at the Lefkogia farm we e-mailed the owner that we were looking forward to our stay. We directly received a very friendly e-mail and were looking forward in meeting these wonderful people. Before I go into more detail with regards to the accommodation I fist want to thank the owners ( Betty and Elias ). They are wonderful and friendly people who welcomed us with open arms, are caring and helpful. We even had a BBQ together and enjoyed some raki's during some very nice conversations! Arriving at the location the accommodation exceeded our expectations. The house feels like it is just build a month ago, and everything is really spacious and clean. It has everything you would want, from Airconditioning, comfortable beds, an oven, microwave, a comfortable shower and a porch(terras) which overlooks the farm. This outside terras is very nice and gives you the possibility to lounge in the shade under the partial roof, or grab a sunbed and enjoy the sun. Then you have the large garden which is beautiful, and has a lot of nice features. There are hundreds olive trees some of over 250 years old which give it a lot of character. The owners have placed some hammocks between some of them, in which you can retreat and enjoy the magical environments in the shade under the olive trees. There is a small playground for children including a trampoline, swings and a wooden playhouse with a slide. In a lot of places there are wooden benches & tables to sit at, have a picnic, or just enjoy the environment at sunset. Last but not least it is an active farm with animals such as horses, goats, pigs, chicken, goose and a turkey which behaves more like a dog, following those around which give him food. Our children loved this farm and loved feeding and playing with the animals. They enjoyed an occasional horseride together with Elias and Betty at the farm, and even I got on the friendly horse named Whiskey, for the first time in my life :). With 3 very nice beaches just 2 min away i would recommend this place to everyone looking for something special!

Lieu fantastique au bord de la mer

Superbe cottage très bien situé, au calme et parfaitement propre. Le cadre est exceptionnel : entouré de montagnes avec une multitude d’oliviers, un étang avec cascade et sans oublier les animaux. Les enfants ont adoré et nous aussi!!! Enfin un grand merci pour tout à Betty et son mari. Je recommande vivement!

If Carlsberg did holiday homes...

It's hard to put in words how wonderful our stay was at Lefkogia Farm. Betty and Hlias were excellent hosts who were very helpful from start to finish. The farm is beautiful and the animals were wonderful to be around. Our 20month old daughter loved them. It's a delightful part of Crete with lots of wonderful beaches very close by. Every restaurant recommendation they gave was brilliant. Delicious fresh food and excellent service as is the way in Greece. In terms of the property, it was very clean and very comfortable. The photos don't do it justice. It's no accident that this place is so highly rated and we wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone whether as a writing retreat, as a couple or as a family. We will return!

Top Reiseziel für entspannten Familienurlaub!

Sehr saubere und liebevoll dekorierte Ferienwohnung mit allem was man braucht! Schöner Garten mit vielen Sitzecken und Hängematten. Sehr nette und offene Gastgeber - die Kinder haben es geliebt, gemeinsam mit Hlias die Tiere zu versorgen! Vielen Dank! 5 Minuten mit dem Auto oder 20 min zu Fuß zu mehreren schönen Stränden. Perfekte Urlaubslocation für Familien, die nicht mitten im Trubel des Ortes sein wollen...

Herzlichkeit und Ruhe

Betty hat uns, trotz unserer späten Anreise, herzlich begrüßt und dafür gesorgt, dass wir am erste Abend nicht hungern mußten. Das Haus war sehr gemütlich und alles da, was man braucht. Mit Wünschen konnten wir uns jederzeit an Betty wenden., waren aber wunschlos glücklich.

Im Paradies

Wir haben wunderbare Herbstferien auf der Lefogia-Farm verbracht und uns alle sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich kann mich den sehr guten Bewertungen nur anschließen; es ist alles genaus so und Betty und Elias sind wunderbare, sehr kinderliebe Gastgeber. Die Gegend ist ein Traum für alle, die gerne Individualurlaub machen und auf eigene Faust Land und Leute erkunden. Die Kinder fanden es toll, bei der Tierpflege mitzumachen. Alle aber, die gerne laute Musik und Wasserski am Strand mögen, Schnitzel essen wollen, Animation, viele Geschäfte und ein ganztägiges Kinderprogramm im Urlaub brauchen, sollten weiterhin eher in den Norden fahren, weil es in Lefogia so schön ruhig ist. Und so sollte es auch bleiben!

Ein in jeder Hinsicht traumhafter Platz / A place to be dreamed of in every respect

[short english version below] Ich muss zugeben am Anfang war ich sehr skeptisch angesichts der vielen extrem guten Bewertungen. Nachdem wir nun aber selbst zwei Wochen vor Ort waren kann ich sagen, jedes Wort stimmt! Betty und Elias sind wunderbare Gastgeber! Immer um das Wohl ihrer Gäste besorgt und dabei in keiner Weise aufdringlich. Das Haus war bei Übergabe sehr sauber und zusätzlich wurde alle 5 Tage geputzt und alle 3 Tage gab es frische Handtücher. Betty legt viel Wert auf Sauberkeit! Im Haus selbst ist alles vorhanden was man sich wünscht. Kaffeemaschine, Teller, Töpfe, Toaster usw, sogar ein Gasgrill stand auf der Terrasse. Als Willkommensgeschenk gab es Weintrauben, Olivenöl und Wein. Die Farm ist ein kleines Paradies um zu entspannen und für die Kinder ist sie ein großer Spielplatz, nicht zuletzt auch wegen der vielen Tiere. Das Füttern der Tiere war fester Bestandteil des Tagesablaufs.Kurzum, wenn man einen entspannten Urlaub, bei absolut liebenswerten Gastgebern in herrlicher Atmosphäre und in traumhafter Lage verbringen möchte, der ist hier richtig aufgehoben! Plakias ist nur ca. 5 Minuten mit den Auto entfernt und etliche wunderbare Strände liegen sprichwörtlich vor der Haustüre. Es ist herrlich! Eigentlich müsste man einen solchen Ort für sich behalten, aber das wäre mehr als unfair unseren wundervollen Gastgebern gegenüber. Wir fühlten uns in den beiden Wochen weniger wie Gäste, mehr als alte Freunde und das sagt schon sehr viel aus finde ich! Ein absoluter Top Tipp! Müsste ich diesen Ort, sowie Betty und Elias bewerten dann gäbe es glatte 11 Punkte (bei max. 10 möglichen 😉) Prädikat: Besser geht nicht! Im Ernst: Wer den Urlaub hier verbringen möchte, der macht alles richtig! Liebe Betty / Elias Danke für 14 wundervolle Tage! English version: Betty and Elias are wonderful hosts! Always caring about the well-being of their guests and in no way intrusive. The house was very clean when handed over and additionally cleaned every 5 days and every 3 days we got fresh towels. Betty attaches great importance to cleanliness! In the house itself everything is available what one wishes. Coffee machine, plates, pots, toaster etc., even a gas grill stood on the terrace. The farm is a small paradise to relax and for the children it is a big playground. In short, if you want to spend a relaxed holiday with absolutely absolutely lovable hosts in a wonderful atmosphere and in a fantastic location, this is the right place for you!

Schöne Unterkunft weg vom Mainstream

Wir haben zwei super Wochen bei Betty und Elias verbracht, die sehr gastfreundlich sind und immer ein offenes Ohr haben, trotzdem aber dezent sind. Das tolle trotz Selbstversorgung ist, dass wir 3 mal frische Handtücher bekommen haben und 2 mal das ganze Haus geputzt wurde. Unseren Kindern hat ganz besonders der Hund Lucy gefallen, mit dem sie am Grund spazieren durften. Weiters konnten wir reiten, Bogenschießen oder einfach nur auf der großzügigen Terasse entspannen. Die Lage ist auch sehr fein, in unmittelbarer Nähe sind mehrere super Buchten, direkt im Ort gibt es einen Supermarkt und besonders in der Family Taverne haben wir immer super gespeist. Besonders die Landschaft in der Gegend ist ein Traum und mit dem Auto kann man von dort als Ausgangspunkt schöne Ausflüge starten. Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Urlaub und fanden alles so vor, wie in der Anzeige beschrieben.

Schönes Haus in wunderbarer Lage, tolle Vermieter!

Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen - wir haben das Haus mit zwei Kindern genutzt. Es war ausreichend Platz vorhanden, die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Vermieterin hat sogar während des Aufenthaltes von 10 Tagen einmal die Bettwäsche und zwei Mal die Handtücher gewechselt sowie mehrfach angeboten, anfallende Wäsche zu waschen, da keine Waschmaschine in der Wohnung vorhanden ist. Die Terrasse ist großartig mit Blick und Zugang in den Olivengarten, der mit Hängematten, einem Teich und Sitzmöglichkeiten ausgestattet ist. Es gibt einige Tiere auf dem Gelände, einen Spielplatz für die Kinder und alle dürfen sich frei überall bewegen und einfach nur die unglaublich schöne Umgebung genießen. Die Vermieter sind überaus gastfreundlich, es gab einen Willkommenskorb mit Obst, Olivenöl, Eiern vom Bauernhof und Wasser als Geschenk. Check-in und Check-out waren extrem unkompliziert und zuvorkommend, wir haben viele ganz wunderbare Ausflugstipps und Tavernentipps für die Umgebung bekommen - vieles davon ein echtes Erlebnis! Die Strände in der Umgebung sind einfach umwerfend - ganz nah vom Haus Ammoudi/Ammoudaki Bucht - wenig Menschen, wunderbare Natur. In unmittelbarer Nähe Shinaria Bucht, Damnoni Bucht (etwas größer mit drei kleinen Tavernen) sowie Plakias - der nächste etwas größere Badeort mit Geschäften, Supermarkt, Bäckerei und einer großen Sandbucht. Das Wandern und Schwimmen in der nahegelegenen Schlucht war ein beeindruckendes Erlebnis - ein bisschen wie im Paradies. Amazing place and hosts

We spent 2 weeks at the Villa Ostria and absolutely loved it. Betty and Ilias were the perfect hosts to this beautiful place, close to the most gorgeous beaches in the south of Creta. Every evening they were feeding the animals, also with alot of fun and joy. Our daughter fell in love with the Chihuahua „Lucy“. The house is lovey and very clean. We loved the big porch which gave shade in the morning for breakfast and was open enough for a great sunset. Betty had a sweet welcome basket for us, which was just great after the long journey. We can highly recommend the Villa Ostria, Lefkogia Farm and hope to come back someday. 10/10 stars

Wunderbar!

Ein Traum für Kinder und Familien, die gerne mit satter Natur und mit Tieren in Berührung kommen. (wir waren im Frühling dort, als alles blühte und summte). Die beiden Vermieter sind mit warmherzig noch untertrieben beschrieben - es wird wirklich auf jegliche Wünsche eingegangen. Tolle Strände in der Nähe. Ein rundum großartiger Urlaub!

Wonderful place!

We have had a wonderful week at Lefkogia Farm. The owners are very friendly and helpful. You feel right at home. Beautiful view of the surroundings from the spacious and cosy terrace. The house has everything you need. Our children enjoyed feeding and being arround the animals. A place to visit again!

Immer gerne wieder!

Der Aufenthalt in der Villa Ostria (Lefkogiafarm) war für unsere Familie (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) wunderbar erholsam. Der wunderbare Ort bietet (fast) alles: Viel Platz zum Erkunden für die Kleinen (Spielgeräte, Tiere, Bach, Natur) und für die Großen viel Ruhe und eine schöne Lage (Wanderwege direkt vor der Haustür, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Strand und Restaurants nur wenige Autominuten entfernt). Toll sind aber auch die Gastgeber Betty und Ilias: herzlich, freundlich und zuvorkommend haben sie unseren Urlaub bereichert. Das fängt mit einer tollen Begrüßung an (brennende Kerzen und Kamin, Willkommenspaket mit Raki, Obst und Wein) und setzt sich täglich fort. Ganz große Gastfreundschaft! Einzig das Wetter hat uns einen kleinen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht -- wir hatten auf ein bisschen wärmeres Wetter gehofft und waren mit den 14-18 Grad doch eher unterdurchschnittlich bedient. Wenn wir wieder nach Kreta kommen, wird das unsere erste Anlaufstation sein!

Supertoll!

Ein gemütliches und sehr gut ausgestattetes Appartement auf einem traumhaften Grundstück mit jeder Menge Olivenbäumen, vielen lauschigen Plätzen zum Lesen und Entspannen für die Erwachsenen und sehr viel Freiraum und Möglichkeiten für die Kinder zum Spielen. Wunderschöne Strände (Sand/feiner Kies) sind auch mit Kindern zu Fuß in 10-20min erreichbar (oder in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto). Mit vielen Felsen, von denen man in allen Varianten ins glasklare, türkisfarbene Wasser springen kann. Wer mutig ist, kann auch durch ein unter Wasser gelegenes Loch im Fels von einer Bucht in die nächste tauchen. Außerdem ein guter Standort für Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung, z.B. in die eindrucksvolle, nahe gelegene Schlucht, nach Preveli, Spili, Mirthios, Rethymno und vieles mehr. Am schönsten für unsere zwei achtjährigen Töchter waren aber die vielen Tiere auf der Farm und die täglichen Fütterungen, die für unsere Töchter ein nicht verhandelbarer Teil der Tagesplanung waren...Elias und Betty haben sich dabei super herzlich um die Beiden gekümmert und waren überhaupt ganz tolle Gastgeber, bei denen wir uns wirklich willkommen gefühlt haben! Wir hoffen, bald wieder zu kommen!

Lovely house on a charming farm with really nice hosts. Wonderful area with fantastic beaches!

We had a great time on this wonderful and charming farm. Great sorrounings with the mountains and only 2 minutes by car to the nearest beach. The beaches/bays in this area are many and beautiful. The house on the farm was lovely decorated and with high standard. A spacios, really nice terrace with sunbeds and sofa to relaxe in the mornings and evenings. The host, Betty had prepared a nice basket with olive oil, fresh fruit, juice and more on our arrival making us feel so welcome. Our kids enjoyed helping feeding the animals and learning about the farmerlife. Lots of charming animals; like horses, pigs, a cow, chicken and goats ++ Our daughter also had a lovely time riding one the horses. We got a lot of local tips from Betty and Elias on where to eat and what not to miss in the area. Much appriciated! Would love to come back to this place. Liv with Family 😊

Villa Ostria in Lefkogia Farm is one of the best homes we stayed ever!

We have just came back from a wonderful vacation in south Crete, much of it thanks to the lovely place we stayed at. Villa Ostria is most welcoming - comfortable, very nice designed and decorated and very cozy. Wonderful Betty is continently taking care of all the rest to give her guests the best hospitality ever (a treasures welcoming basket, fresh eggs from the farm, her own made fantastic Mille Feuille... etc.). The farm is located in a beautiful area, spectacular views and very close to more than one lovely beaches. Altogether, most most recommended!

Wunderschöne Farm/Olivenanbau in traumhafter Lage!! Ein „Must Go“:-)

Wir (zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder) waren im Sommer 2018 eine Woche in dem inserierten Ferienhaus . Lage: einfach nur traumhaft schön! Ein gewaltiger Canyon im Rücken der Farm (10 Minuten Fahrt) mit einem wunderschönen unberührten Gebirgsfluss (aus dem man trinken kann!) mit Natur-Pools zum Baden im kristallklaren Wasser (trotz Hoch-Session waren wir fast die einzigen); zu Fusse zwei tolle kleine Buchten mit angenehmen, feinkörnigem weichem Kiesel und Felsen von denen man ins Meer springen kann (von 0,5 bis ca. 7 Metern Höhe), absolut sauberes Wasser und völlig klar. Man kann auch von Bucht zu Bucht schwimmen. Eine der kleinen Traumbuchten ist über eine Treppe erreichbar (2 Minuten) , unten gibt es Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme (7 EUR); oben eine kleine Taverne, die andere Bucht ist nur durch etwas Klettern zu erreichen (ab ca. 5 Jahre unter Aufsicht und Hilfestellung; kleinere eher nur an der Hand). Beide Buchten waren nie überlaufen. Gleich neben diesen Buchten gibt es noch eine große Bucht mit breitem Sandstrand; drei wirklich guten Tavernen, Duschen, Sonnenschirme und Liegen zum mieten. Dort ist auch ein Hotel (Hapimag), dass sich aber recht gut einfügt und nicht stört (dort gibt es auch eine Wassersporthütte mit Surfbrettern etc. zum leihen; haben wir aber nicht genutzt). Das Wasser ist hier ebenso toll; prima zum schwimmen; die Kinder können hier Sandburgen etc. bauen. Alle Buchten sind ca. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Die nächst „größere“ Stadt ist Plakias (10 Minuten) mit einer großen Anzahl an Tavernen, Fischgeschäft etc.. Der kleine nette Ort Lefkogeia ist ca 2 Minuten (Auto). Dort gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt, frisches Brot am Morgen, zwei kleine Tavernen. Die Farm: Das Haus ist hübsch eingerichtet. Alles vorhanden, was man braucht (Dusche mit ordentlichem Strahl). Terrasse ist groß und führt direkt über eine kleine Treppe in den Olivenhain. Kurz: Die Farm ist wirklich ein Traum! Die Stallungen der Tiere sind circa 50-100 m vom Haus entfernt. Dazwischen liegt der Olivenhain mit Hänge-Sesseln etc Die Kinder können sich auf der Farm völlig frei bewegen; hatten morgens schon die Tiere gefüttert (ohne dass wir es überhaupt mitbekommen hatten ) oder haben Entdeckungstouren unternommen. Das gesamte Gelände ist umzäunt. Die sehr, sehr freundlichen und völlig unkomplizierten Gastgeber waren mit den Kindern wirklich rührend und immer hilfsbereit mit Tipps etc. wenn man dies wollte. Mit bestem Gewissen: 5 von 5 Sterne

My name is Betty Katsavelou. I have grown up and lived in Athens until 2009, when I followed my husband to Crete and started a small touristic business that keeps growing year by year! So, although a city and an office girl somehow I ended up being a farmer!!! Do I miss the office? Well now... sometimes I really do.. mostly getting ready to go to the office... wearing nice clothes, nice shoes, instead of boots and trucksuits all day long... what I do not miss is being on the phone for hours per day,talking about projects, making arrangements, pressing timelines, suffer hectic conversations about schedules and deadlines!!! Living in the country side, and specifically in our farmhouse consists in waking up in the morning, drinking my coffee accompanied by my horses or my goats or my hens or simply watching my goldfish swimming leisurely in the pond, taking care of them, feeding them, petting them and sharing my thoughts with them! It is so comforting how they agree with everything!!! Of course it is not always as easy as it sounds, yet it is so calming and curative! The animals can have such a healing effect on people! And what is more important is that being so close to them, watching their circle of life, as they grow up and give birth, is something that is hard to describe in words... the emotion while watching the goose open her wings and gather her babies underneath to protect them, or the goats giving birth and feeding their newborns, or the pigglets lying one next to the other on their mother's back!!! Precious moments as you get to feel the true meaning of life! As we have travelled a lot in the past years, we are full of wonderful experiences and we have never forgotten some of the people who accommodated us and really contributed to make our stay unforgettable. We want to do exactly the same for the people who visit us and trust us to make their holidays a great experience. We aim to help them enjoy the best out of their stay.

Night life is only 5 km away if you 'd like to go out, restaurants, bars, cafe, baby sitting is available on request. Feel the authentic, live our truth, participate in it, otherwise why travel??? Meet the villagers, they are so welcoming people, that the majority of our guets always tell me to give them their greetings. Nature awaits you... Let the sun kiss you and the nights sing to you! Feel the breeze passing through your hair... breath... feel... Seek and get! Yes... you can have it all!!! Here... in Lefkogia farm, one of the most authentic and less touristic villages in South Crete!
