Plakias is such a lovely place to visit and villa alkisti had everything you needed for a lovely stay, the owner greeted us on arrival and showed us around the villa, he left us a must needed welcome pack with everything you needed including wine and beers to get your holiday started. He visited the villa everyday and cleaned the pool, the villa was spotlessly clean and was well equipped, we are definitely planning on coming back.

Fantastic villa in great location

We had a lovely holiday staying in this villa. The check in process was easy - the owner was easy to contact and able to accommodate changes in our flight times. He worked hard to keep the villa clean following an unusual period of sand that had blown in, leaving red dust over the whole island. He was easily available with advice and keeping the pool clean without being obtrusive.The villa was really lovely - very spacious and had everything we needed. We booked the next door villa with extended family and loved being able to go between the two.The family all enjoyed the pool, and the location was only a few minutes walk down to the main beach front, with easy access to a good range of tavernas and shops. It was also easy to walk to a few different beaches to swim, plus several others that were only a short drive away. We would definitely recommend this villa to others.

It was a perfect vacation!

For us it was a perfect vacation, Villa Alkisti is centrally located, Fillipos is super and we will definitely come back! There is nothing to complain about! Even when one of the Crete-typical wind (storms) came, Fillipos has lovingly taken care of everything so that nothing flies away. We can recommend the villa, the contact, the cleanliness, the equipment - just everything. And this is a real rating! We traveled with grandpa, two adults and two children. There was enough space for everyone! Thank you!!

An absolute gem of a find!

This is an extremely well equipped property in a beautiful condition in an ideal location. Everything is within easy walking distance including the supermarket, seafront with beaches, bars and restaurants. There is a lot to see in the area and our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. There simply was not enough time to experience all the fantastic things on offer. Nothing was too much trouble for Filippos, the owner who surprised us daily with little treats and it was always great to have a friendly chat with him. We would highly recommend this villa which also has an equally amazing villa next door which would be highly suitable for 2 or 3 families between the two. We would definitely like to return.

Ideal holiday home

Communication with the owner was excellent from start to finish, he was so helpful and friendly. The house is really spacious with 3 good sized bedrooms and a large living area, plus lots of balconies and a lovely garden (which the owner comes to water every morning). All windows have shutters so it’s nice and dark for sleeping (if you have youngsters!) and the air con was good. The WiFi doesn’t always reach to every room but 4g coverage was really good and fast. The TV has Netflix etc on it. The pool was perfect for us and our kids (5 & 9) and very refreshing in the August heat. Note if you have very small children who can’t swim they won’t be able to stand up in the pool. The location of the house is amazing: set back from the main strip so it’s quiet, but you can be at restaurants and bars in Plakias in 1 minutes’ walk! The beach is a couple of minutes away. We had a fabulous time and I would highly recommend!

Très agréable séjour

Villa très propre et très confortable à proximité des commerces et restauran Fillipos est aux petits soins. Nous avons eu beaucoup de retard à notre arrivée. Et Fillipos nous a accueilli à 2h du matin avec un grand sourire et il avait également prévu de quoi nous restaurer a minimum. Bref un hôte au top!

Total relaxation

Relaxing, peaceful stay, a short walk to all restaurants, supermarkets, and the beach, yet far enough away to be peaceful.The villa was well-stocked with everything that one would need, including Wi-Fi, Netflix, and Prime.We had some extreme wind (unusual level), but managed to find some shelter on some of the first-floor balconies so that we could still enjoy the sun.Fillipos was a great host who surprised us with some lovely treats and always greeted us with a smile and a warm manner. Highly recommend. We have returned feeling very relaxed.

Alles bestens und sehr aufmerksamer Vermieter!

Wir waren als Familie in Alkisti Villa zu 4 Personen. Alles so wie auf den Fotos, sehr sauber und gepflegt! Filippos kümmert sich fast tgl. um das Haus/Pool, aber unaufdringlich! Seine Gastfreundschaft ist sehr bemerkenswert! Der Pool ist absolut erfrischend und es gibt genug Sitz-/Liegemöbel auch für große Gruppen. Die Klima funktioniert einwandfrei und wird zentral in den Etagen gesteuert. Erwähnt werden sollte, das die beiden Villas einen gemeinsamen Garten im Hintergrund haben, aber man kommt eigentlich mit den Nachbarn kaum in Kontakt, es sei denn, das sich das wünscht. Alles sehr privat und auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

Villa Akisti = Perfect; Plakias = Perfect

The villa itself is at once what you'd expect from a classic Greek villa but think 2022. It's modern, comfortable and has everything you need. We found the location excellent - a sanctuary of your own but a minute's walk to convenience stores, shops, tavernas, bars, restaurants and night spots. The villa has it's own sparkling pool and green gardens filled with oleanders and cicada song but again it's just a 3 minute walk to a couple of nice beaches and a 5 to 15 minute drive to other great beaches. The magic ingredient was our host Fillipos who's hospitality was legendary!

Wonderful villa and a wonderful hoste

I’m fearful of repeating what others may have written about this property but having visited Crete on numerous occasions over the years, this one is by far the best destination for me and my family. Fillipos is a wonderful host who took care of us, was very knowledgeable about the area and where’s best to eat out. The location is also perfect being so close to the beach, shops and supermarkets, a familiar statement but all true in this case. Won’t ramble on too much as I’d really prefer to keep this one a secrete so we’re able to return again soon.

Schöner Urlaub

Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Die Kommunikation verlief unproblematisch über WhatsApp. Filippos war jederzeit zu erreichen und immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden in der Villa mit einem Obstteller und kühlen Getränken (Wasser, Cola, Bier usw.) überrascht. Die Villa ist sehr schön. 2 Zimmer mit Doppelbett und 1 Zimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten sowie 2 Bäder mit WC und Duschwanne. Es war alles sehr sauber. Während unseres Aufenthalts kam sogar eine Reinigungskraft. Handtücher wurden auch gewechselt. Pro Kopf gibt es ein Händehandtuch, ein Badehandtuch und ein Strandlaken. Die Villa ist super gelegen. Mit wenigen Schritten erreicht man unzählige Tavernen und Supermärkte sowie den Strand. Ein kleines Stück weiter - aber noch super fußläufig ist der Strand sogar sehr fein und ohne Kies. Auch das Meer dort kristallklar und ohne Steine. Filippos spricht super deutsch und steht mit Tipps für Ausflüge usw. zur Seite. Wir haben unter anderem Rethymnon, Chania und den Palmenstrand von Preveli besichtigt, die alle eine Reise wert sind. In der Taverna Mariou in dem Bergdorf nebenan, kann man mit atemberaubenden Blick über die Küste herrliches Essen genießen. Wir waren Ende Oktober/Anfang November dort und hatten leider etwas Pech mit dem Wetter. Allerdings war es trotzdem ein schöner Urlaub, da die Gegend unglaublich schön ist und es viel zu entdecken gibt. Das Meer war noch super warm. Alles in Allem absolute Empfehlung. Und noch einmal ein Riesen Dank an Filippos, der ein super Gastgeber war.

Traumurlaub

Meine Familie und ich verbrachten zwei wundervolle Wochen in der Villa Alkisti in Plakias. Filippos, der Gastgeber, war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und hatte einige Überraschungen für uns parat. Die Kommunikation vorab mit ihm war super nett und wir durften am Anreisetag schon mittags in die Villa und am Abreisetag bis abends bleiben. In der Villa empfing er uns mit gekühlten Getränken und frischem Obst und zeigte uns alles. Das Haus ist ein Traum mit moderner gehobener und gepflegter Ausstattung. Sogar Handtücher und Bettwäsche wurden zweimal gewechselt und das Haus durchgeputzt. In zwei Minuten gelangt man an den Strand und mitten in den Ort Plakias, lebt aber trotzdem ruhig. Um die Ecke gibt es zwei Supermärkte, bei denen man alles Notwendige bekommt. Rund um das Haus gibt es verschiedene Ecken und Terrassen, wo man es sich auf Liegen oder Stühlen bequem machen und chillen kann. Ganz nach Lust und Laune kann man in der Sonne oder im Schatten liegen. Filippos reinigte den Pool täglich und hatte immer tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Tavernen. Zu meinem runden Geburtstag überraschte er mich sogar mit einer Torte! Auch bei der Buchung des Corona-Tests vor Ort war er behilflich. Filippos ist wirklich nett und hilfsbereit. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen. Filippos hat dafür gesorgt, dass unser Urlaub zu einem unvergesslichen Traumurlaub wurde.

In jeder Hinsicht perfekt

Das Haus, die Lage, der überaus freundliche Vermieter, alles hat unsere Erwartung noch übertroffen. Das Haus ist sehr komfortabel ausgestattet und die Lage sehr zentral und trotzdem absolut ruhig. Wir waren mit fünf Erwachsenen und einem Kind hier und hatten sehr viel Platz. Preis/Leistung sehr gut. Wir können absolut weiterempfehlen

traumhafte Tage an der Südküste in ebenso traumhaften Haus

Schön und ruhig gelegenes Haus (für uns als 6 Personen super geeignet), trotzdem in wenigen Schritten sind die ersten Tavernen und kleinen Einkaufsläden sowie das Meer zu erreichen. Das Haus ist eigentümergeführt, was bei der Pflege des Objektes sofort erkennbar ist. Unter anderem ist die Küche sehr groß und großzügig mit allem ausgestattet, eine Spülmaschine (und auch Waschmaschine) fehlen nicht. Und jeder Raum verfügt über mehr als reichlich (sehr gepflegte und funktionelle) Schränke. Aussenanlage mit Pool sind ebenfalls sehr gepflegt und werden täglich gereinigt. Sehr herzlicher und zuvorkommender Eigentümer, Empfang und Begrüßung unkompliziert mit guter Führung durchs Haus und Anlage - sein ausgezeichnetes Deutsch erleichtern die Sache ungemein!

Perfect property in the perfect location

We were in Plakias 26 years ago, when our daughter was a baby. We brought her back last week, with her fiancé too. Plakias had become even more exquisite than before and our holiday was made perfect by this amazing villa (which would not have been built last time we were here). The accommodation, facilities and Fillipos’ amazing hospitality were all perfect and the central location made the holiday our best yet. We strolled regularly to the shops, beach, bars and tavernas but still enjoyed privacy, luxury and tranquility when back ‘home’ at the villa. We will all be back (and we won’t leave it so long next time) 💚

Einfach toll!

Wir - 4 Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind - haben eine wunderbare Woche in der Villa Alkisti verbracht. Das Haus und der Pool entsprachen den Bildern zu 100 %. Das alles nur noch übertroffen vom herzlichen Willkommen und der ausgesprochen netten Betreuung durch den Besitzer Filippos. Danke für alles ... wir kommen sicher wieder! sehr geräumig und gut eingerichtet, hatten wunderbaren Urlaub

Wir waren als Familie (Kinder Erwachsen) - 5 Personen in dem Ferienhaus. Dieses liegt ruhig und trotzdem sehr nahe am Strand und in der Nähe der vielen Tavernen. Zwei Supermärkte sind absolut nahe. Das Haus ist gepflegt. Es wurde regelmäßig geputzt. Der Pool ist gepflegt und wunderbar zur kurzen Abkühlung. Der Besitzer spricht fließend deutsch (Mutter Deutsche) und war sehr sehr gastfreundlich und hilfbereicht

Wunderschöne Villa in gemütlichem Ferienort

Wir haben eine Woche in der Villa Alkisti in Plakias verbracht. Plakias ist ein mittelgroßer Ferienort im Süden von Kreta. Für uns genau das richtige. Keine Bettenburgen und Party die ganze Nacht, aber genug Tavernen und Geschäfte um abends zu bummeln und immer wieder wo anders zu essen. Plakias hat einen großen Strand, der uns nicht so gut gefallen hat, aber man kann täglich kleine Ausflüge zu den umliegenden Buchten machen, die wirklich traumhaft sind. Die Villa Alkisti liegt zentral in Plakias, neben der anderen Villa von Filippos, die auch zu mieten ist. Sie ist wirklich wunderschön und entspricht tatsächlich allen Fotos und wirkt in echt noch beeindruckender. Am Tag der Ankunft wurden wir unproblematisch von Filippos empfangen, nachdem wir einer super Wegbeschreibung seinerseits gefolgt waren. Er empfing uns mit einer kalten Flasche Wein und frischem Obst auf dem Tisch. Da wir nur zu zweit waren hatten wir die Qual der Wahl bei drei Schlafzimmern. Unten befindet sich eines neben Küche und Wohnzimmer (Schiebetüren zu allen Seiten!) und zwei Schlafzimmer befinden sich in der ersten Etage, wobei eines zwei einzelnd stehende Betten hat. Oben gibt es noch ein großes Bad, eine Waschmaschine und den Zugang zu den verschiedenen Balkonen und Dachterassen. Was ich besonders beeindruckend fand, war dass jedes einzelne Fenster von außen Rolladen/Schiebeladen, ein lückenloses Mückengitter und von innen zwei Gardinen hatte. Die meiste Zeit haben wir aber unten im Garten bei unserem privaten Pool verbracht. Dort stehen Lounge Möbel und man kann herrlich bis in die Nacht beim erleuchteten Pool sitzen. Das ganze Grundstück und die Villa sind unglaublich gepflegt. Filippos kommt täglich vorbei und macht den Pool sauber oder pflegt den Garten. Mitten in der Woche kam eine Putzfrau, die auch unsere Bettwäsche gewechselt hat. Es gibt nichts zu meckern, wir kommen gerne wieder! K & D
