Situé à Croesor, dans le parc national de Snowdonia entre Cnicht (une montagne populaire pour les grimpeurs et les marcheurs) et la chaîne de montagnes Moelwyn. Le bord de mer à Morfa Bwchan est à une courte distance en voiture.

Séjour équipé avec feu ouvert et 3 poêles à accumulation, canapé double, 2 fauteuils, télévision et vidéo, table et 4 chaises, coin cuisine avec cuisinière, micro-ondes, bouilloire électrique et grille-pain, lave-linge et lave-vaisselle.

A l'étage chambre double, petite chambre avec 2 lits superposés et salle de bain avec thermoplongeur chauffée toute la nuit. En bas des escaliers, il y a une autre chambre avec un petit lit double et une télévision.

Jardin avant clos avec banc en bois donnant sur la vallée de Croesor et la chaîne de montagnes de Moelwyn.

Le chalet situé à Croesor, près de Porthmadog est bien équipé pour toutes les vacances en famille et est loué depuis plus de 30 ans. La propriété est disponible à la location toute l'année, et est un endroit idéal pour marcher jusqu'à beddgelert à travers le célèbre col aberglasslyn, le mont cincht en forme de pyramide et les montagnes moelyn. Situé près de Clough Williams-Ellis, la maison de Plas Brondanw (jardins ouverts aux visiteurs), l'architecte qui a conçu Portmeirion, situé à seulement 16 km du chalet, en face du barrage de Porthmadog.

We had a fantastic holiday here, so much so we stayed an extra night. The cottage is in the countryside lovely and quiet with everything you need a short drive away. Theres a village cafe in walking distance, but we missed this sadly thinking it was the tea rooms on the way in, so don't miss it, opening days are Thurs to Sun as is the local pub, with a beer garden with great views!The cottage is a comfortable home from home with all you need and the small fenced garden at the front was great for the dog. We didnt use the back yard which was no issue at all.Beds were comfy and footrest couches a nice touch and views from the garden and bedroom were beautiful! The village has a football pitch and local pool, if youre brave enough, it was chilly but really fun. Local residents were welcoming and rhe neighbours were lovely too.Great walks right our of the cottage including Cnicht which Peter climbed and so many places to choose from just 20-30 minutes away, we chose Black Rock Sands and Llandanwg beaches, both fantastic, visited the next town down for shopping and a pint abd takeaway and had breakfast at the Lakeside Cafe near the famous Hydro Power Station. So much more to see and do cant wait to come back! Thank you Richard what a lovely place you have xx

Dear Visitors, We are pleased you enjoyed your holiday at the cottage in the Welsh mountains, it's so wonderful to be in a snug home and travel back in time to an old fashioned Christmas, roasting chestnuts on an open fire, singing Carols and walking in a winter wonderland in the silent rugged countryside.

Beautiful scenery very remote

Nice cosy cottage very comfortable, we were lucky with the weather would not want to be there in bad weather as it is so remote and only reached by single track road.

One of the best

A very comfortable week in a very beautiful place. Remote enough for us, we like the quiet and the nature, but a lot of things to do without going too far. The house is exactly as described and has a fantastic outlook at the front. Can't really fault it and will be going back.

Perfect mountain hideaway

We are return visitors and always enjoy our stay in this simple little terraced house. We like the quietness and remoteness of the spot, the mountain views, the open fires (when needed!) and the access to walks and the nearby countryside. The WiFi is not great, but for a peace and quiet this place is hard to beat. The cottage had all we needed for a great stay, but remember to bring toilet rolls!

Hi Bridget, Thank you very much for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your holiday at the cottage and I am pleased you are returning next year. You will be glad to know, as of today, we have installed FTTP super fast broadband (110Mb/s), so you will have no issues streaming from multiple devices etc on your next visit. We do provide loo roll, so apologies if this wasn't replenished. If you ever run short there should be spares in the big bathroom cupboard. Thanks again, Richard

Christmas in Croesor

We had a lovely 4 night stay over Christmas in this cozy little cottage in a tranquil little village at the foot of Cnicht mountain. The fireplace was a delight, as were the lazy-boy sofas and the well equipped kitchen. The stairs were a bit of a challenge for my knees, but good training for hiking up in the hills and the valley. Plenty of walking opportunities from the village and the most incredible view of Cnicht and across to Snowdon, weather permitting!

Good location for walking , property needs TLC

Location very good but property needs a good clean and some TLC. Strong smell of dog in the living area and hair on the carpets. Generally needs a spruce up and a lick of paint.

Peace and tranquility

Plenty of local walks requiring no vehicle once you have arrived. If you're looking for peace and tranquility, this is perfect. Open fire, cosy lounge and central heating as back up. Beautiful views from front windows of mountains. Remember to keep gate closed as local sheep are free to roam. This is our second visit and we're still discovering new walks and places of interest. Nature at it's best!!

Nice property and very nice location in a friendly village. Not the best of weather but it's nice to come back and sit by a cozy coal fire. I found it hard to get the hang of the TV but as we were out so much iplayer was sufficient if we really wanted the TV on. No other observations, we had a great stay.

We loved the cottage and the location

We had such a great week in Croesor. The cottage was lovely - very comfy beds, great shower and well stocked kitchen. We misread the info and thought we needed to take our own duvets/pillows etc but they were supplied! (You just need your own sheets, covers, pillow cases) We absolutely loved the area. Incredible views from the windows of the cottage including sheep and a horse in the field opposite. The valley is beautiful - my 2 young boys loved exploring the old quarry and hillsides around. Plas Brondanw and it's cafe just down the road is a must. We also enjoyed conquering Snowdon, Harlech beach, Criccieth and Caernarfon Castle. Could've easily stayed for 2 weeks! Thank you!

The quietest place I’ve ever stayed.

All previous reviews cover it really. The house has everything you need to have a great week, cook large meals if needed, heating more that sufficient to battle even minus temperatures outside, modern windows that open (something we’ve found old properties often don’t have) for summer months. It’s location at the end of 2 miles of single track (plenty of passing places) means no through traffic. One house and a farm beyond us meant the only vehicles we saw was delivery drivers. The quiet was just amazing.The minus for us was it seems they rely on the previous tenants heeding the instructions and hoovering before they leave. Someone before us obviously didn’t as when I came to do so the hoover revealed a lot of golden retriever like long hair in the lounge. Our dog has short hair. I spent almost an hour scrubbing away with the hoover but its suction was not as it should be (I have the same hoover and it’s much more powerful). So my only suggestion would be add a 40 cleaning fee to the booking and hire someone up to the task.That said, we will definitely book again. But maybe bring our own hoover.

Lovely cosy cottage in a nice village and conveneint for climbing, woodland + lakeside walks or a trip to the beach. Plenty of heritage railways nearby and interesting Museums to visit.

Stunning views and a nice affordable remote accommodation

The accomodation is a cozy little cottage where me and my family enjoyed lovely moments in the evenings by the fireplace. Ideal if you want to have a quiet retreat holiday. The views all around are unique and amazing, making for lots of walking opportunities. The nearby public pool was empty, however, less than half an hour away is Black Sands sandy beach, where kids enjoyed swimming and body boarding.

Lovely Stay

Cottage was lovely, clean, comfortable, needed some warming up on first night but after that was very comfy, WiFi not amazing, BUT it is in the middle of nowhere so no complaints! Cracking views, and the fire was lovely!
