Wonderful location, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with lake swims and walking routes on the door step, and lovely beaches just a short drive away. The house was comfy and well equipped for cooking family meals and just the job for the technology free relax we’d hoped for.

I spent a week at this magical cottage with my partner and 6 month old baby. Tucked away in an ancient woodland it is incredibly peaceful and secluded, with a simple elegance and cosy character. It has brilliant access to some gorgeous walks and mountain views. We enjoyed the proximity to the steam railway and fairytale Plas Halt station in the woods, a short walk from the cottage. Local towns Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog were an easy drive away for supplies. Access to the cottage is down some uneven and occasionally steep slate/stone steps, and the ground around the cottage is also very uneven, so not really suitable for pushchairs.

Great holiday, we have stayed befire so knew what we were getting so to speak. Still a beautiful, peaceful place to relax. We met the owners whilst out walking in the valley and they were friendly and very welcoming. We were offered extra logs but as the weather was still good didnt need them. The walking routes were still lovely to explore and the whole experience was so relaxing and calm. Everthing worked well and it was a bonus this year to see the cows. If you want a quiet place to recharge your batteries then this is ideal, but it is also a good location to explore the area if you want to move further a field.

Our family had an amazing week at the cottage. The place was a very decent size and very cosy with the large log burner lit. The area is very special with miles and miles of woodland and mountain walks directly from your door. Great views and even a steam train you can walk to. There are great beaches around 15 minutes away and the Llyn peninsula and mountains of Snowdonia are a short drive. If you like the outdoors I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. The hosts were very nice too.

Beautiful location off the beaten track

The cottage was just what we were looking for, lovely and peaceful location in a beautiful wood with fabulous walking on your doorsteps. The cottage was comfortable and clean. We would certainly stay again.

Secluded and comfortable

Wales for the first time

We really enjoyed the quiet and the location, also the neighbors (3 cows) were very symphatic. Ideal as a base for walks in the Snowdonia area. Also the shopping and eating possibilities (eg Porthmadog) are not far. Overall a very nice week and very nice hosts.

Lovely cottage, gorgeous scenery

Wonderful time had by all. The drive to the cottage through the woods is crazy but fun. We loved having the swimming lakes so close to use our paddle board. Wonderful hikes and close to zip world. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable.

Beautiful property and location

We had a week at the cottage earlier this month, the cottage is secluded in a beautiful location, with lots of walks right from the doorstep and a good location for exploring Snowdonia. The hosts were brilliant and helped us out with some car troubles. Also perfect if you have a dog that doesn't like other dogs as we hardly saw any all week.

This beautiful stone cottage is a peaceful escape nestled among the hills and lakes of the Welsh countryside.Cozy and full of character, it features a roaring fireplace, rustic charm and all the comforts you need for a relaxing stay.The surrounding area is perfect for scenic walks from gentle lakeside strolls to more adventurous hill hikes.It’s a heaven for nature lovers and anyone seeking quiet and calmA truly special place to unwind.Highly recommended We are definitely coming back

No negatives, the location & cottage were beautiful. Weather was amazing, plenty of logs for the fire & secure space for the dogs to run. So many walks from the doorstep, lakes to wild swim in & it was so so peaceful. We will definitely be back… Thank you 😊
