Cette belle maison est situĂ©e Ă  Hamburg, NY, avec une vue magnifique sur le lac ÉriĂ© et les toits de Buffalo, visible depuis le patio, la cuisine, la salle Ă  manger et le salon. Les couchers de soleil sont incroyables ici! Nous sommes situĂ©s Ă  40 minutes des chutes du Niagara et Ă  15 minutes du parc naval de Buffalo et du centre-ville de Buffalo. L'aĂ©roport de Buffalo est Ă  20 minutes. Des kayaks sont disponibles et l'accĂšs Ă  la plage est facile.

Beautiful Location

The view from the deck of Lake Erie was absolutely gorgeous. My family of 4 rented the property with another family of 4 with kids ages 13, 12, 12 and 8. There was some confusion about check in time because the VRBO site said 4:00 and the email we got said 3:00. This was problematic since we were traveling 7 1/2 hours to get there and did not hear back until halfway through our drive there, which was a little frustrating. Dave was very responsive when I asked about propane for the grill, he brought it over shortly after we asked and also got the fire pit out for us. The house was clean and comfortable. Plenty of blankets to snuggle with in the living room, appliances were updated and there were AC units in every room. The sunroom was our favorite place to hang when the bugs came out at night and during the chilly mornings. Lots of cedar waxwings and we saw a bald eagle a couple of times. Some issues with the house - the downstairs bathroom does not close or lock in any capacity. Most doorknobs in the house don’t turn but there are secondary locks added to help alleviate that problem. If my kids were younger this may have been an issue. The upstairs bathroom (not shown in photos) has not been updated since the 50s and while we weren’t trying for style points, the sink is incredibly slow draining and there is no fan for steam. Some convenience items would’ve made a big difference in sharing this house with 8 people. We were lacking hooks in bedrooms for used bathroom towels so they weren’t all jumbled in the shared space as well as a mirror in each bedroom so one can get ready in the bedroom rather than hog the bathroom. My biggest issue with this house is that the downstairs bedroom, which is clearly for children with 3 beds in it, has no emergency exit. There is a door just outside the room with “emergency exit” handwritten on it, but it is nailed shut. The only window in that room is glass blocks and can’t be opened. I’m not sure how this passed safety codes. The walk down to the beach is very steep with lots of stairs, both wooden and concrete. This was not an issue for us but certainly would be for young children or those with mobility issues. The concrete was incredibly slippery after it rained. A good pressure wash would fix that problem. I wanted to give more positive feedback but am only allotted so many words and I felt these points were important. Overall we had a really great trip exploring Buffalo/Niagara Falls.

The pictures are not up to date. The beach was not as accessible as it looks in the pics.

The house was nice enough, location wise. The owner was nice enough, but his neighbors DO NOT like that he is renting and complain All the time. I had a BBQ AT 2:00 in the afternoon, with family, and 2 of my 80Yr. Old Aunts, and he complained.

Great Lakefront Location

Great weekend! The house was very spacious- perfect for large parties. Direct lake access and a nice deck for outdoor activities. The neighborhood is very quiet & peaceful but close to amenities. The house is older but clean & comfortable. Check-in was super easy. I highly recommend this rental!

Spacious and cozy

House is big and cozy. Plenty of sleeping arrangements, gorgeous view, campfire, trampoline, kayaks, table tennis and a gigantic living room TV. Very warm atmosphere and very nice area, surrounded by well kept homes and nice neighbors.

The property offered entertainment for all ages from the tree swing, trampoline, and kayaks.

Myself, my children and grand child had a great time. I wish the weather would have been a little better but there were enough days to enjoy the water and beach bon fires. The sunset /water views were awesome. A great family get a way.

Family vacation

We had a very nice vacation here. The view is wonderful and the main floor & deck are very nice. It is an older house so there are a few things that come with an older house like creaking floors and doors when you are trying to quietly go to the bathroom at night. There was plenty of room, the beds were comfortable and the beach was lovely. It should be noted that this house is not suited for those with mobility issues as there are stairs to each of the bathrooms and two sets of steps down to the beach. Overall nice place that we all enjoyed.

Beautiful views

We loved the location. The porch had amazing views as did the dining and living rooms. We were happy the air conditioning units really cooled the entire house. We enjoyed using the kayaks and making s’mores on the beach.

Gorgeous lakeside beach house!

We had a great time. Stayed for three nights. Gorgeous views of sunsets. Just enough area at the beach to have a large group around a fire. Spend a lot of time on the huge deck overlooking the water. I'm definitely planning on coming back again!

Wonderful place for a family

We had a fabulous 4th of July at this property. One great feature is the large, main living area is really separate from the sleeping rooms. People can stay up late or get up early without worry of waking anyone in bed. The porches and views are wonderful. We spent every morning and evening on the balconies. We would definitely recommend this property to friends.

Weekend getaway

I booked this lake house for the weekend. Beautiful location, right on the lake. The house is spacious and beautiful. Very clean house and everything we needed was there. The pictures are very accurate. The owners are very sweet and went out of their way to make sure we had coffee and coffee filters. The only thing I recommend is brining a griddle or a couple of pots and pans (depending on what your menu is). I would definitely rent again.

The location was wonderful.. what a view! The accommodations fit our needs perfectly.

We rented the home as a way to reconnect with family that lived in the area. It was on the water which was a huge plus during the incredibly hot summer. there were window air conditioners in the home which cooled the house nicely. we did have some trouble with a few blown fuses, but the owner was quick to come out and fix the problem. the home was spacious and though it needed a bit updating we enjoyed our stay and would come back. It is a home built in the early 1940's and is a bit rough around the edges, but we found that to be part of it's charm.
