Bay Side Retreat

Very quaint, clean and quiet stay. Views of the Bay were SPECTACULAR and owner Dan was on top with his communication every step of the way !! Will definitely be back again, thank you !

Beautiful Private Entrance

Dan was a great host to begin with, so easy to contact and very friendly! The property was also beautiful, looking at the bay is something so tranquil. The room itself feels very private and homey, perfect for a couple.

Comfortable, clean, quiet, beautiful view! Away from the crowds but 5-10 minutes from beach and or numerous restaurants all with easy access. Owner was super helpful with account issues when VRBO had some communication issues.

Better than expected. The dock was so peaceful and relaxing. The room was immaculate and the view was remarkable. Host was very responsive. The location was perfect as it was centrally located to a wide variety of restaurants and attractions. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful place to relax

Room was very clean and well-maintained. View is spectacular from inside and outside. Enjoyed gorgeous sunsets from the dock every night. Dan the host was very accommodating and friendly. Nice quiet neighborhood with a really wide path separate from the road - great for walking or biking. We rented bikes from the host for a reasonable price and biked miles, easy to get to the Wright Brothers memorial. If you’re really ambitious, a 12 mile round trip bike ride gets you to the end of Colington Island on a nice bike path - a very nice ride with beautiful views. Great place to stay!

WOW!! What a great vacation!

Perfect! Exactly what we needed! Extremely peaceful and relaxing. Private sound-side pier access . We spent very little time on the actual beach because we loved the place SO much! Close to everything. Host was very helpful and polite. Can’t wait to go back!!

Adam and his lovely wife were wonderful guests. They left the unit as clean as they found it. They also caught fish from the private dock. Would welcome their return to Kitty Hawk Bay Vista anytime! Truly great guests! Enjoyed having them!

Beautiful view, sunsets were gorgeous. Dan was great! First day I had problem operating television, and he was there in minutes to show me how it was done. When we were leaving our battery was dead and Dan went to his neighbor and borrowed jumper cables and got us on our way. Really a wonderful host with a great place for a peaceful getaway!

This spot was beautiful. We had an extremely relaxing week which is exactly what we needed. One thing I will say is I brought kayaks because I didn’t realize that Dan had some there to rent. Next time I would just rent them from him and it would be a lot easier one myself but all that aside the spot is absolutely amazing. The neighborhood is so friendly and it’s close enough to everything that we mostly biked places. Great spot!!

Great views!

I had friends staying nearby in Duck and this studio had the basics for staying overnight. The host was attentive to the outdoor motion sensors not working at night. The only thing I would suggest would be a path or pavers around the side of the house - I arrived after a storm and the ground was mushy and uneven walking back to the unit. I enjoyed the views each morning as I drank my coffee. Great value for the price!

Relaxing and private

The views are stunning and the room and entrance are very private. Wake up to a view of the sound and watch the sunset from your room or the dock. Far superior to a hotel.
