Villa élégante & romantique sur une place pittoresque, village thermal, montagne

Charmante et confortable maison, situation parfaite à Lanjáron, dans les Alpujarras, Grenade - une place de tradition espagnole pure, sans trafic, couverte de verveine (parking à proximité). Écouter le chant des oiseaux et les éclaboussements de l'eau dans la fontaine-grotte depuis le balcon. Admirer la vue sur la montagne et la mer depuis la terrasse. 2 jolies chambres avec lits doubles confortables. Télévision par satellite en anglais disponible dans le salon, spacieux mais intime, avec sa belle cheminée de style pueblo. La salle de bains 'état de l'art' est équipée d'une douche avec hydro-massage. La cuisine intégrée, en châtaignier, est moderne mais toujours de style rustique, et comporte : une cuisinière 4 brûleurs, un réfrigérateur/freezer en acier inoxydable. Prendre le petit-déjeuner ou le dîner sur la terrasse du toit en profitant de la vue. Une fusion réussie entre design moderne et restauration de l'architecture traditionnelle, avec attention prêtée aux couleurs et détails.

Le village est fier de sa piscine olympique municipale, avec bar, à proximité de la villa. Il y a également des courts de tennis et durant la saison, une vie nocturne très développée, ainsi que des cafés en effervescence dans le centre, ombragés par d'anciens platanes magnifiques.

Dès le pas de porte vous avez accès à la magnifique campagne et à des promenades spectaculaires. Si vous désirez vous faire soigner, le Balneario, proche et historique, offre toute une gamme de traitements thermaux et massages.
Les hôtes ne souhaitant pas louer de voiture peuvent utiliser le service de bus quotidien reliant Lanjaròn à la côte et à Grenade (à seulement 35 km) et un service de taxi est également disponible.

Le parcours de golf le plus proche est à seulement 25 minutes sur la route menant à Grenade. Il y en a également un à Motril.

ACCÈS À INTERNET : un cybercafé se trouve à 3 minutes à pied de la maison. Il est ouvert tous les jours dès 18h.

Great stay

We (young family) had a very pleasant stay at Mary's house in Lanjaron. Mary was very helpful and friendly. The house is very nice, well equipped and has a beautiful terrace. Also, the location is perfect: it is central and quiet at the same time and the square Santa Ana is a very pretty and peaceful.

Lovely rustic house in tranquil town

Property lovely, had wood burner fire which was great on chilly evenings. On beautiful plant covered square. House is rustic tho comfortable. Had all we needed for our stay. Enjoyed Lanjaron. Thank you.

Lovely location, charming town house

House was in a great location for exploring the alpujarra, surprisingly lively town for such a small population! Mary & her husband were very friendly and helpful, with lots of local information about Lanjarón. Saw butting baby Ibex from the local castle’s foundations and we were both very impressed with the area. Easy access to the Sierra Nevada and Granada only 20-30 mins away. Well worth visiting the little mountain villages for some stunning scenery and a very different way of life to the one I am used to. Would definitely return to the area at some point, thanks Mary for a memorable stay in your house. Apologies for Wales winning the Grand Slam!

A gem in the Alpujarras

What a fantastic little house, in the heart of the town, everything on the doorstep. There was everything we needed for a comfortable weeks stay, Mary the owner greeted us on the day of arrival and was on hand via WhatsApp before and during our stay. The roof terrace was a sun trap in June and a lovely place to relax after exploring & walking the area. This is a taste of the real Spain, don’t expect English to be widely spoken as on the coast but everybody we met was lovely & appreciated our basic efforts at the language even if we did have to refer to google translate on a regular basis. Highly recommended if you love walking, cycling, mountain biking with a base with every amenity on your doorstep. Oh and the bonus of fresh spring water on your doorstep! Highly recommended we loved it.

Un séjour magnifique !

Avec mon épouse et notre fils de 5 ans, nous avons passé un séjour d'exception dans cette charmante station thermale au pied de la Sierra Nevada. Et la maison de Mary y a beaucoup contribué ! Située sur une petite place typique en retrait, nous y avons trouvé tout le confort et l'équipement nécessaires. La petite terrasse au dernier étage est idéale pour prendre le petit-déjeuner ou le dîner ! Très confortable, spacieuse (sur 3 étages !), vraiment le top ! Ajoutez à celà l'accueil convivial de Mary, et vous avez tous les ingrédients réunis pour réussir vos vacances ! Lanjaron est, de plus, très bien placée pour pouvoir rayonner dans la région andalouse : les Alpujarras, Granada, Cordoba, Malaga, la côte touristique et ses plages sont des sites à distance plus que raisonnable avec une voiture de location ! Pas d'hésitation, pour nous c'est 0 regret ! Wonderful, Mary ! :-))

Os cuento lo mejor y lo peor para mi en verano.

Lo peor ha sido el aparcar el coche, lo que pone en el anuncio no es real, en verano es difilisimo. He terminado hasta las narices de las escaleras de la casa, todo el rato para arriba y para abajo. La casa es preciosa y está en la plaza mas bonita del pueblo con diferencia lo malo que viene gente durante todo el día a tirarse fotitos a la puerta de casa. Lo mejor que es la casa con más encanto de todo Lanjaron. Tiene una fuente de agua buenísima para beber ha 3 metros. Para estar unos días esta muy bien, pero no viviría ahí por nada del mundo.

Lo siento que tenía dificultad en aparcar. Normalmente no es así y es la primera queja sobre este asunto que he tenido en 10 años de alquilar. Si, la casa tiene 3 plantas...lo que es obvio si se lea bien la descripción. Puede ser que un apartamento seria mejor en vez de una casa entera. Gracias por vuestro comentario. Saludos Mary

Thank you for your feedback. Given the uniformly positive reviews we have received, we were somewhat surprised. However it has prompted us to look at revising some of the furniture in the house. Lanjaron is a rural tourism destination. The majority of our guests enjoy outdoor activities both in the Alpujarras and the coast and sightseeing in Granada. This Spa town has a long tradition of offering hospitality to visitors and is reflected in a summer long programme of entertainment and events and amenities. Most people find it lively and adequate to their needs. Öur restaurants offer good quality home cooked traditional Spanish dishes. It appears to us that unfortunately you seemed to find little to your liking which suggests that it simply wasn't your kind of place. Marbella it is not. Sincerely

Schöne Ferienwohnung in super Lage

Wir haben acht wunderschöne Tage in der liebevoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung verbracht. Granada war ziemlich schnell zu erreichen und auch für Wanderungen in die Alpujarras brauchten wir nicht weit zu fahren. Mary ist eine sehr nette und engagierte Gastgeberin.

Our stay in lanjarron August

We arrived to a quirky house in a beautiful location with a fountain in the square . The house was centrally located near to all amenities. We loved the house for its charm it had everything you needed for a good stay. my son loved the wifi which was a bonus for the location. The sun terrace had a beautiful view of the mountains with sun well into the evening. we had very hot weather from 22/08 with temperatures almost up to 40c but we managed to keep cool. the local water source/fountain helped. The village was lovely with plenty of things going on fresh produce sold by villagers on their door step was a bonus. we visited the municipal pool a few times, my son Louie loved this and it was a bargain for a euro all day. we visited the mountains twice and orgiva and did lots of walking in lanjarron. Mary was very kind and helpful and had a good source of knowledge on the local area and helped us with getting out and about. we didn't hire a car and managed perfectly well without one we used the local buses to get out and about . we would definitely come back here , there was plenty to do for a family and the house was very comfortable. thanks for your help Mary we hope to see u soon.x

Beautiful house

Lovely house, had everything we needed. Great to be able to get fresh water from the fountain outside. Lanjaron has a nice selection of bars and cafes, and is well-placed for days at the beach or exploring in the mountains.

Casa Santa Ana

The on-line description and photos only hint at what the house and Lanjarón have to offer. Apart from its extensive charm, both inside and out, everything you need is provided and the location is second to none. If you have Spanish, the very friendly neighbours are lovely to chat with. Mary is vivacious and her advice and ready communication were invaluable. The house and Lanjarón itself won our hearts. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Beautiful People

A small village with a whole lot of charm! This particular home in this particular area is THE loveliest though. The local people were welcoming and curious and happily obliged our conversation. Mary was not only there to answer every question and help us in every way we needed, she went above and beyond to assist us during our stay and as we were departing. Some of the local shop owners restaurant workers came to recognize us and greet us on the streets as did the locals outside Mary’s home. Lanjarón is such a unique and special place!

Pretty mountain town, great host!

Mary deserves accolades.. Her rental is pretty and well-kept.. she’s a very helpful, efficient host! Location is lovely — small plaza with flowers and plants, and very popular fountain. It draws elderly locals, tour groups and family photo opps. The plaza off kitchen is the only outdoor sitting space besides rooftop terrace. The rental is on 4 floors. Kitchen on 1st, cozy lounge on 2nd, bed and bath on 3rd, rooftop terrace on 4th with possible 2nd bed (depends on age and size of occupant). All windows open to plaza. The town is pretty with many useful shops — when they’re open. Strict daily siesta 3 hours. Hilights: gorgeous mountain view at back of town, La Galeria for fruit vegs bakery fish meat and cafe. La Bodega for lunch. Also friendly tapas bar and deli store: El Arca de Noe. Alas the weather was cool/rainy (Mid April) so we did not explore the mountain roads more than once, by bus. And didn’t try the spa ... not in our budget. But as I said, Mary is a wonderful host!

lovely house

We spent one week in this lovely house with nice interior decoration. The weather was cold, but we had good gas heaters which warmed up the rooms fast as well as hot water bottles. Mary, our landlady, was very friendly and helpful, explained everything well and provided good Information about the house and the surroundings.It is lovely to sit outside in the sun on the terrace and see the mountains and the neighbour terraces. Lanjaron is a good base for visiting Granada and the coast as well as for hiking in the Alpujarras.We enjoyed our stay very much.

Characterful cottage, good location

There was a lot we liked about our stay here (5 days over New Year). Mary was a friendly and helpful host who met us at the property, made recommendations and also came by during our stay to make sure all was OK. She also provided a large bowl of oranges which were delicious. We loved having late breakfast on the terrace when the sun was on it for a short while. The views of the mountains from there are lovely. We enjoyed the quiet location in a very pretty plaza (which is clearly a tourist attraction in itself). Lanjaron is well located for visiting both the coast and the Alpujarra villages - we explored in our hire car and found the roads good and amazingly little traffic, even on the road to Granada, but maybe that was because of the time of year. Mary pointed us in the direction of a couple of small supermarkets in town, also a very good small indoor market where we loved visiting and bought fish, fruit and veg. If you're thinking of staying at this time of year it's worth noting a couple of things. First of all, mornings and evenings are COLD. Mary had left us a basket of wood for the fire which was MUCH appreciated - we lit the fire every evening and were very grateful for it. The gas heaters were life savers, as were the HOT WATER BOTTLES! Bring slippers and lots of layers! The second thing is at this time of year the big hotels/baths/many bars & restaurants/Tourist Information office are closed, and the tourist leaflets etc at the cottage we found to be either out of date, in Spanish or not really relevant to the winter, so our advice would be to do all your research & map buying before you come, and be prepared to make your own evening entertainment. Although we found the house pretty much as described, there isn't actually a TV in the kitchen/dining area so no facility to watch DVDs. This was a bit disappointing but luckily we enjoy both reading and playing Scrabble. On the plus side the internet connection was very good - so the small and rather old portable CD player could perhaps usefully be ditched in favour of an inexpensive wireless/smart speaker, so guests could listen to the music on their phones? Hi Robin and Nick Thank you for your feedback. I imagine you were somewhat disappointed that your first choice of place ie, Cordoba had to be cancelled as indeed Lanjaron is quiet over the Christmas and New Year period. I was pleased to hear that you enjoyed having an open log fire in the evenings as well as the hot water bottles!! It's a shame you didn't mention that you would have liked to watch DVDs (our previous DVD player became obsolete and outdated as most people tend to watch movies on their laptops or mobiles these days) as I have an old laptop with DVD facility in one of the cupboards at the house. I think your idea of having a smart speaker in the house so guests can listen to their own music is a good one - much appreciated and will act on it. I have to say that the Tourist office (closes over the month of January and perhaps even beginning of February) doesn't update their brochures etc on an annual basis! Folks are all very laidback in this neck of the woods!! Your feedback has been positive and helpful and it was very nice to meet you both. Kind regards Mary

Liebevolle Ferienwohnung in expnierter Lage

Die liebevoll saniert und ausgestattete FeWo liegt am beliebten Platz einer Quelle (Lanjaron ist Kurort) und bietet entspannten Urlaub. Ab einer bestimmten Tageszeit wird es hier durch die Touristen nur etwas turbulent. Lanjaron ist perfekt für Ausflüge nach Granada (u. a. Alhambra) und an die Costa Tropical (Salobrena!!) gelegen und bietet selbst gute Bars und Restaurants . Auch Malaga ist als Tagesausflug gut zu erreichen. Mary ist eine liebe und persönlich engagierte Gastgeberin. Die Dachterrasse sollte irgendwie verschattet werden, dann wäre vielleicht eine bessere Nutzung möglich. Das tut aber dem Gesamtbild keinen Abbruch!

Schitterende ligging op rustig pleintje midden de stad. Ideaal uitgangspunt voor uitstapjes naar Alpujarras / zee / Granada Uiterst vriendelijke en behulpzame gastvrouw (engelstalig).

A comfortable and cosy home in a tranquil, stunning setting

We had a fantastic week in Mary's house in Lanjarón. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. There are lots of grocery shops in the town so we had the option of cooking for ourselves in the evenings. We particularly enjoyed soaking up the sunshine on the roof terrace in the afternoons. We took our bikes and it was a perfect base for exploring the area, with fantastically quiet and smooth roads leading up into the mountains and down to the coast. It should also be mentioned that there are a number of really well sign-posted walks leading from the town of varying lengths and difficulty. We did two of these and both were spectacular, taking us high above the town with amazing views. Lanjarón itself is full of character and was a good place to potter around in the afternoons. Should you crave the buzz of the city, there are regular buses to Granada, meaning you can visit without having to worry about parking. The bus journey itself was pretty scenic too!

This was a lovely little town house in a very pretty square in Lanjaron. Perfect for exploring.

We had a lovely 9 days in February staying at Mary's very pretty little house in Lanjaron. The weather wasn't great but the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful little mountain villages and was also ideal for visiting the coast. Mary and husband Brian were extremely accommodating and the holiday overall was perfect. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the area around Granada but doesn't want to stay in the city.

Una casa preciosa

Mi hijo y yo hemos pasado en la casa de Mary y Brian la semana del 2 al 9 de diciembre y todo ha sido perfecto, la casa, la atención de los propietarios, los senderos que hemos recorrido... Y hasta el tiempo que nos ha obsequiado con días radiantes. Cuando volvíamos agotados de recorrer los montes, la casa nos acogía con todas las comodidades... Era un hogar maravilloso, mágico y precioso. Gracias.

Lovely house in great setting

A very well appointed house in a quiet corner of town. The house is well equipped with everything you might want for a comfortable stay. The photos do not do it justice. Mary was an excellent host, and nothing was too much trouble. The area is great for walking, with plenty of walks from Lanjaron, and also further afield. The town is a nice size, with plenty of shops. Cannot comment on restaurants as we did not eat out. If you want a glimpse of Spanish life in a little Spanish town, then this is for you.

My husband and I have lived in Lanjaron for 35 years (we are both Irish) - our two children were born here and are bi-lingual. I have been teaching English to both children and adults in the village for 24 years . I also work as a part time administrator at an alternative holiday centre in a nearby village (for the last 25 years). Brian is a massage therapist whose practice is mainly based at the same centre. We enjoy a high degree of integration in the town and are known by most of the villagers. Our home is very closeby to the square so we are available any time.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We built and designed this wonderful little house for its perfect location. The neighbours are very proud of the plaza and their plants which they lovingly maintain and think we have done a wonderful job of designing this house. This is a place where you can get a great insight into an authentic Spanish pueblo where the concept of community is still alive and well. And of course you will meet the ladies of the plaza while on holiday with us..They tend to speak only Spanish but are so friendly and try and adapt to 'communicating' with all our guests. The plaza Santa Ana also has it's very own Saint Ana and her nameday is celebrated every year in the square on 26th July.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

I never tire of the views onto the plaza and the sound of the running water - it's quite picture-perfect. You can also look at the mountains towards the south from the top terrace and can even spy the sea from time to time. The house itself has a very cosy feel to it and has everything you might need for easy living as well as the fact that it's also very central. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful and love to have the opportunity to have a chat (if you speak a bit of Spanish!)
