Great location close to downtown, St Mary's Catholic church and great shopping/restaurants near by. Location is nice and quiet and the backyard has plenty of space for those bringing their fur babies along....
This is a nice size VRBO that accepts pets. This is our second time staying here in the last 2 years. We like the size of the house and the yard for us and our dog. However since we came 2 years ago, we noticed it could use a little paint inside, and maybe some new rugs. I know if you accept pets, rugs get dirty, but should be replaced more often. Also the carpet in the 1 bedroom, needs replaced. Also in the 1 bedroom, ceiling needs worked on.
House was as described, could use a deep cleaning and some tlc. Backyard is covered in stickers/thorns that get stuck on shoes and brought into the house. Dog also kept getting them in feet so thatâs something to be aware of with children and pets. Great location close to everything but away from noise and very comfortable beds.
This property is ocated within 10 minutes of HEB, Main Street, and higway access to wineries, yet tucked away and quiet. We enjoyed early morning walks around the neighborhood. We saw a lot of deer, and other wildlife. The two bedrooms have comfortable beds, soft sheets, plenty of pillows, and tvs with viewing options. There is one bathroom with a wide mirror and a large standing mirror in the back bedroom. We used both spaces to get ready as it was a party of 4 ladies. There are plenty of towels in the cupboard and shampoo and soap provided. Water pressure is good and we never ran out of hot water even with 4 showers in a row!The kitchen has all the tools you'll need to prepare and cook a meal with. The backyard is spacious and inviting with a grill, games, and patio seating. We enjoyed a meal under the Wisteria and patio lights. Very charming!!There were a couple of inconviences with appliances. The freezer door was left open upon arrival and had defrosted, and the dishwasher wasnt working. However, the host was quick to respond and helpful in problem solving. The issues were no derterrant to the enjoyment we had at the property. Try the Old German Bakery on Main Street for breakfast and grab a danish while you're there. You wont be disappointed!! Get there early before the wait! This is a great place to make memories and to rest after a long day of adventuring. We would love to stay again.
We spent just a weekend in Fredericksburg in late April. So, to get all the Fredericksburg "must dos" in in a couple of days, we didn't spend a lot of time at the house. That said, I'm glad that we stayed at this place. It was quite lovely.Dustin was easy to connect with and responsive to any questions that I had. There was plenty of space for 3 of us and the beds were really wonderful. If you are looking to be in all the action in Fredericksburg, this place probably isn't for you. We could have walked to get to Main Street, but it would have been a longish, hot walk. For our family, it was perfect! It was quiet and easy to get downtown and parking wasn't bad at all.We went to a couple wineries and had a couple really good dinners. Definitely go to Ottos and definitely make reservations if you can. The highlight of our trip though was the Pacific War Museum. That was amazing.
The little house is cozy with a big yard if you travel with your pets like we do. House if fully stocked with everything you need if you choose to cook at the house. We did not cook at the house but we could have. We would stay again.
This was our third two-week stint at this property. It has become our default snowbird thawing out destination! Great firepit in the large and private backyard.
Enjoyed our stay at this home. Good location and backyard was very nice to hang out. Property owner Dustin was very helpful and responsive. We will stay here again.
Overall this house and location were great! However, an outdoor fire pit was one of the big attractions for us, but much our surprise there was no firewood. When I asked the property manager about where to find the wood he said there probably wasnât any because they hadnât been there in a while and we should have brought our own! If wood is not going to be provided, they should let the guests know in advance so they can plan accordingly. I was told there was an HEB close by if we wanted to go get some. Again, not a huge deal, but I feel like it needs to be communicated best there may or may not be wood.Overall, I would stay there again and BYOW!
We loved our stay at this little cottage in Fredricksburg. Great house in a great location. It had everything we needed and was perfect for our family.
The home was very clean and had everything ready for our stay!We enjoyed the Property and our sweet Labrador âJoyâ enjoyed the back yard and Deer sighting!
My wife and I (along with our dog Pepper) had a great visit. The house is clean and well kept, the yard is fenced so a dog can run and play, and it's located perfectly in Fredericksburg. We recommend staying here!
We will definately be back. Nice feature is the fenced in yard . And OMG the deer. They are so tame they donât even runaway when they see you. Host is super nice and responsive. Has everything you will need and more.
Everything was great. Did notice the vent fan in the bath seems to be going out. And water pressure at kitchen sink was a little low. No big thing to us just sharing what could become an issue in the future.
Overall great stay and we will be back again
We are a family of 4 living in the Lake Travis area of Austin. We have had short term rental homes throughout Florida and Texas for some time and pride ourselves on providing our guests with luxurious furnishings and abundant amenities. We do it up right so that you can have the best stay possible.
We fell in love with Fredericksburg when we moved to Austin 6 years ago. This little town really has it all. It has small old world charm with incredible restaurants and an abundance of social activities. The wine scene has really blown up in the area over the last few years and we now have some of the countries best wineries right here in our own backyard. It's truly an exceptional place to visit. We looked at properties for years and couldn't find exactly what we were looking for. When this one came on the market in the early summer 2018 we put an offer in the day we saw it. It truly is unique.
The Boccie Ball court, Fire Pit and Horseshoe Pit provides our guests with fun activities to enjoy without ever having to leave the house. When they do decide to leave, they'll find themselves within minutes of some of the best shopping and restaurants in the Texas Hill Country.
